Chapter 1472: The Devil had A Little Plan

Villain Ch 1472. The Devil had A Little Plan

Erenblade leaned casually against the side of the warped obelisk at the Hall of Silence’s entrance, tapping the edge of his blade against his boot. His armor glead gold and obsidian, freshly polished—probably more for the aesthetic than actual defense. The guy knew how to look the part of a rising star. Around him, the mbers of Order of Valiance were relaxed, bantering lightly, waiting for their commander.

“Mac and Gil should be here in, like, ten minutes,” Erenblade said, glancing at the party chat window. “They’re clearing a path from the Nightmare Crossroads. You all know the plan.”

“Yeah, yeah,” one of his DPS muttered, stretching their arms. “Farm mobs. Pull boss. Hope we get another drop before the lockout resets.”

Erenblade snorted. “Hope? We’re taking that thing down again. Full clear, no wipes. Just like last ti.”

He wasn’t just cocky—he had the record to back it up. Ever since Liam and Darren bailed—or got benched, depending on who you asked—Elio had brought Erenblade into the core team. A gamble, sure, but it paid off. Erenblade had skill. Everyone said so. PvP ranked. Smooth raid chanics. He had sothing to prove, and under Elio’s guidance, he was proving it fast.

He flicked open the raid interface again. Three raid groups were gathered here already. Besides his own crew, Lunar Dominion had shown up with their usual edge-of-toxic smugness. Their leader, Corven, wasn’t known for diplomacy.

“So what’s this?” Corven asked, approaching with arms crossed, his guild tag glowing a deep violet. “Valiance thinks they can take both runs now? Boss spawn’s not even confird.”

Erenblade didn’t flinch. “Relax. We’re just prepping. Not like your squad can solo this thing anyway.”

Corven’s eyes narrowed. “You trying to say we need you?”

“I’m saying we’re not the ones who wipe halfway through Phase Two.”

Gasps echoed in party chat.

“Damn,” soone muttered.

“You little—”

“Gentlen,” soone else cut in—probably from the third raid group, so freelancers hoping to leech a chance at loot. “Can we not start a war before the boss even spawns?”

Corven sneered, but backed off with a sarcastic bow. “Fine. We’ll see who walks out of this place with the loot.”

Erenblade rolled his eyes. “That guy thinks he’s the villain in soone else’s story.”

Corven scoffed, arms still crossed, tapping his foot. “You’re talking big for soone who just joined the main team. Let’s not pretend you’ve earned the right to act like Mac.”

“Funny. Mac thought I was good enough to replace his ex-teammates,” Erenblade replied, his tone sharp.

“That says more about them than it does about you,” Corven shot back.

“Oh please. Your guild got wiped by the Phase One enrage chanic last week. You’re not in a position to judge anyone.”

“At least we don’t carry our healer like he’s so golden goose. You’re nothing without healers.”

“We have synergy. That’s why we clear content.”

“Synergy? That what you’re calling dick-riding these days?”

“Keep talking,” Erenblade said, stepping closer. “Just hope you keep that sa energy when the boss drops loot for us again.”

Corven’s jaw clenched. “This isn’t your playground, Eren. You’re not Mac. Stop pretending you’re the main character.”

“Who said I was pretending?”

“Tch.” Corven’s eyes flicked away, scanning the hallway. “What’s taking so long?”

“They’ll be here,” Erenblade said, quieter now. “They always are.”

But sothing had shifted. He felt it, even before the others did. A… tension in the air. Like the server itself had gone silent, just for a mont. A hush not caused by lag, but sothing darker.

Then ca the voice.

Low. Male. Smooth like oil and twice as cold. It echoed from nowhere and everywhere, laced with amusent and venom.

“The Devil had a little plan,

Little plan, little plan,

The Devil had a little plan—

To slaughter every man.”

It was a nursery rhy.

A goddamn nursery rhy.

Erenblade froze.

Soone behind him let out a breathless, “No way…”

Another whispered, “Is that…?”

Corven paled. “That’s not funny. Who the hell just played that?”

No one answered.

Every player present had suddenly stilled. Dozens of raid mbers, elite guilds, freelancers, and spectators alike all stared at each other, unsure if they were being pranked, or hunted.

The voice ca again. This ti, louder. Closer.

“The Devil’s eyes, they always see,

No place to run, no place to flee…”

Steel unsheathed. Bows raised. Mages began to chant barriers. Corven was already casting a defense ward. “Fan out!” he barked. “Find the source!”

Erenblade turned a slow circle, his heart thudding in his ears. No red tags. No aggro markers. Just shadows… and silence.

“I don’t see anything,” one of his DPS whispered. “There’s no one there.”

“That’s impossible,” Erenblade said. “The proximity alert went off. Soone is here.”

“It’s him,” another murmured.

“Shut up!” Erenblade snapped, but the panic was creeping into his own chest now.

He knew the voice.

Everyone knew it.

It was the Devil Emperor’s trademark before he appeared. The creepy-ass rhy that started showing up in PvP arenas, war events, boss raids—right before the massacre began.

Every ti it sounded, soone died.

Usually… a lot of people.

Erenblade’s fingers tightened on his sword hilt. “This doesn’t make sense. He wouldn’t co here. There’s no reason—”

Then the shadows at the edge of the hallway moved.

Not like natural movent. Like deliberate movent. Intent.

Dark shapes peeled themselves out of the wall—first one, then another, and another. Seven total.

A quiet footstep. The clang of tal boots on ancient stone.

Allen stepped into view, slowly, as if he owned the world—and maybe he did, just a little. The Hell’s Gate system didn’t announce him like a boss, but it didn’t have to. His aura was the announcent. Cloaked in hellfire and shadow, with his obsidian blade in hand, the Devil Emperor smiled.

And not the nice kind.

That was the grin of a demon who knew you were going to run.

Erenblade didn’t move. Couldn’t move.
