Villain Ch 1420. A Chance for Glory

At the sa floor, in the shadow of a collapsed tal wall, hidden within the ruins, a group of players crouched, their eyes locked onto the monsters ahead… Except they weren't just monsters.

They were the main villains of this ga.

Sophia tightened her grip on her staff, her high priestess robes barely rustling as she adjusted her stance. Beside her, the guild leader of Arcane Wardens, a man clad in regal arcane robes, furrowed his brows. His na—Kael, the High Sorcerer—hovered in bright gold above his head, his guild insignia glowing on his shoulder.

Behind them, two more high-ranking mbers stood at the ready. Rael, the High Wizard, a man with silver hair and a long enchanted cloak that pulsed with mana-infused glyphs, and Lorne, the Shadow Reaper, a hooded figure with two curved daggers coated in a faint purple glow.

They hadn't expected this.

They'd co to farm bosses and grind XP, not to stumble into the most dangerous boss monsters in the ga.

Yet there they were.

Allen and his group.

And they weren't even being careful.

Sophia's nails dug into her palm as she watched them laughing, joking, completely at ease—as if they weren't so of the most wanted villains in Hell's Gate. But none of them understood what they were talking about. For them, Allen and the others were like talking using chanted or cryptic language.

Her teeth clenched.

"This is it," she whispered, voice low but eager. "This is our chance."

Kael didn't look at her imdiately. His gaze was still on Allen, watching him with the sharpness of a seasoned strategist.

Lorne exhaled, adjusting his daggers. "I don't like this. We're not enough."

Rael nodded, his staff pulsing faintly. "Agreed. That's eight of them—and not just any eight." He flicked his chin toward the battlefield. "That's the Devil Emperor."

Kael finally spoke. "We can't win like this." His fingers twitched, a glowing spell circle forming beneath his boots. "But…"

Sophia's eyes glead. "But what?"

Kael smirked. "If we can't take them with what we have, we summon the entire guild."

Lorne's jaw tightened. "You really think our whole guild can take them?"

Kael turned his gaze to him, eyes calm. Cold. "I don't know. We have to try."

Sophia's pulse quickened. This was it. If they could take down Allen's group—if she could be part of the team that took them down—the fa alone would be worth it. She could already imagine it.

The system announcent. The world chat was exploding. The streams. The interviews. She would be unstoppable.

Kael lifted his hand. "I'll send the call now."

The mont he said it, a notification rippled through the Arcane Wardens' guild chat.

[Guild Leader Kael has activated Battle Call. All mbers, prepare for imdiate deploynt.]

The guild chat erupted.

[System Announcent: Guild Leader Kael has activated Battle Call for a High-Risk Target. Stand by for summons.]

Cymor: What's going on? Who are we fighting?

Lena: Ugh, I just started a dungeon. Do I HAVE to go?

Darius: Finally! A real fight!

Vexor: Damn, Kael never calls unless it's big.

Lornix: I swear if it's another boss farm—

Kael: We found the Devil Emperor.

There was a pause before the guild chat exploded.

Darius: YOU FOUND WHO????

Cymor: Holy shit. Are you serious?

Vexor: Hold on. You an the ACTUAL Devil Emperor?

Lena: Bruh. This is not worth dying for.

Lornix: Are you INSANE??

Kael: Get ready to be summoned. If we take them down, we make history.

Sophia's fingers trembled with excitent as she watched the chat explode with chaos.

This was happening.

Kael glanced at her. "You wanted fa, right?"

Sophia smirked. "I wanted victory."

Kael lifted his staff, the summoning spell already forming.

"Then let's take it."

The glowing golden sigil of Battle Call exploded in a flash of arcane light, stretching out across the battlefield in intricate, shifting runes. One by one, players materialized, weapons drawn, spells at the ready.

They ca fast, summoned from every corner of Hell's Gate.

Tanks, hunters, sorcerers, assassins, priests—a full guild war force, flooding the ruined military base with their presence.

And in an instant—everything changed.

Allen's head lifted. The whistling stopped. His group halted mid-step, their casual banter silenced. They weren't alone anymore.

Fifty.

At least fifty players.

Allen's red eyes glead, his lips curving upward in amusent.

Sophia stepped forward, tilting her chin up, voice filled with pride. "There! Now we have the numbers advantage!" She turned to Kael, the Arcane Wardens' guild leader. "We can do this!"

Kael didn't reply imdiately. His piercing gaze was locked onto Allen, his hands gripping his staff tightly.

Because even now, with an entire army behind him, sothing felt wrong.

Allen wasn't moving. He wasn't surprised. He wasn't bothered at all.

Instead— He was grinning. A cold, cruel, devilish grin that sent a chill through every single player standing against him. A grin that didn't belong to a man being ambushed. It belonged to a man welcoming a massacre.

Kael's stomach twisted. 'This is a bad idea…' He opened his mouth to speak, but another voice ca. "Attack!" It wasn't Kael who gave the order. It was Sophia.

And that's when the chaos began.

Magic exploded. Arrows rained down. Swords slashed through the air.

The entire guild attacked at once, unleashing an onslaught of skills that turned the ruined battlefield into a storm of fire, ice, and lightning.

"Burn them!"

"AOE spam! Don't let them breathe!"

"Devil Emperor first! Focus on fire!"

The ground trembled as spells detonated against Allen's position— A blinding inferno of destruction aid directly at him.

"DON'T LET HIM MOVE!" Darius shouted, his voice sharp with urgency. His hands flew across his interface, spamming spells toward the figure in the distance. "Keep the pressure on!"

"Holy shit," Lena gasped, barely dodging an explosion as she fired off another arrow. "We're actually fighting the Devil Emperor?!"

Vexor's voice crackled over the party comms, panicked, desperate. "Don't hesitate! If he gets a single skill off, we're DEAD!"

Sophia laughed, watching the explosion of light consu their target. "Finally! The villain is finished!"
