Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives Chapter 1393: A Whole-ass Nuke
Villain Ch 1393. A Whole-ass Nuke
Noah rubbed his temple. "This is… way worse than I thought."
Jas let out a low whistle, shaking his head. "One is bad enough… but a threeso? Damn. That's… that's really bad."
Liam didn't react, his jaw tight and his eyes locked on the floor. Darren looked away, tension visible in the way his shoulders hunched forward.
Elio, anwhile, stayed silent. He still rembered that night a few months back. Sophia had been wasted at the club—barely able to walk, slurring her words. And like an idiot, he'd been the one to drop her off at her apartnt. She'd grabbed his arm, leaned against him, kissed him.
He thought he'd dodged a bullet.
Turns out, it was a whole-ass nuke.
Elio flicked his gaze to Darren and Liam again, forcing the tension from his voice. "So… why did you guys say you could be free agents now? What changed? Why don't you have to follow her around anymore?"
Liam hesitated. His eyes t Darren's for a second before he answered. "We managed to record our conversation yesterday."
Elio sat up straighter. "You did what?"
Darren shifted uncomfortably. "Yeah… when she tried to threaten us again. We set up a recording beforehand, just in case."
Jas's eyes lit up with interest. "And?"
Liam exhaled slowly. "Yeah. She… ntioned you guys."
Noah blinked. "Us?"
"Yeah." Liam rubbed his neck. "She said sothing about how you guys—" He pointed toward Noah and Jas. "—told her you knew sothing."
Jas smirked slightly. "Guess she bought the bluff, huh?"
Liam gave a humorless laugh. "I guess so. I an… we figured you were probably bullshitting like you were earlier, but… sohow, it worked."
Darren exhaled through his nose. "She called us and tried to threaten us but instead, we could turn the table."
Noah leaned forward, hands clasped together. "So… you guys are free now?"
Darren shook his head. "Not really."
Noah frowned. "Why not?"
Liam ran a hand down his face. "The recording we have… it's only good enough to make her think twice about pushing us too far. It shows she was planning the whole thing."
Jas's brow furrowed. "Planning it how?"
"She talked about how she set it up." Darren's voice was tight. "The video. The threats. The manipulation. We have her voice on record, laughing about how she made us look like predators."
Elio's expression darkened. "That sounds like solid proof."
"It's not." Liam's mouth twisted into a grimace. "It's enough to use as… leverage. To show she's been planning this manipulation all along. But it's not enough to legally nullify the video."
Darren's jaw clenched. "In that damn recording, she never outright says the video's fake. Just that she 'did what she had to do to make us listen.' It sounds like manipulation, sure. But to a judge? We still look like we did it."
Noah exhaled sharply. "So if she releases the video…"
"We're screwed." Darren's tone was flat. "Careers. Lives. Everything."
Silence settled over the room again.
Elio leaned back, processing the situation. "So what does she want?"
Darren didn't even hesitate. "It's obvious, isn't it?"
Jas raised an eyebrow. "Revenge?"
Liam shook his head. "No." He looked up, his eyes hard. "Allen."
The word landed like a stone in the room.
Noah sat up straighter. "She's obsessed with him."
"Completely," Liam confird. "That's what all of this is about."
Elio exhaled slowly. "She's trying to get closer to him. And she's using you guys—and probably Mr. Bell—as stepping stones."
Jas groaned, dragging a hand down his face. "Of course she is. I swear to God, won like her don't know when to quit."
Darren gave a bitter laugh. "Tell about it."
Elio's mind raced. "What exactly did she say about Allen?"
Liam shifted uncomfortably. "That she wasn't finished with him. That she still had a way to get what she wanted."
Noah frowned. "Even though he's shut her out completely?"
Darren nodded. "Yup. And she said she'd make sure he couldn't shut her out anymore."
Elio leaned forward, voice cold. "How?"
Liam hesitated. "She didn't say."
Elio stood and paced the room. "This is dangerous. If she's got Mr. Bell under her thumb, and she's already got dirt on you two… that ans she's probably planning sothing big."
Jas leaned against the table, watching Elio pace. "Yeah, but why Allen? I don't get it. Why is she so obsessed with him?"
Darren shrugged, his voice bitter. "He rejected her. Hard. You know Sophia—she doesn't take 'no' well."
Jas ran a hand through his hair. "Still. There are plenty of guys out there. Why Allen specifically?"
Noah let out a low sigh. "Allen's not just so guy anymore. He's a young master now."
Jas's eyebrows shot up. "Yeah." He rubbed his temples. "I forgot about that. He's basically gaming royalty now."
Elio stopped pacing. "And that makes it even harder for her. If she tries to get close to him again, she's going to hit walls everywhere."
Noah gave a dark chuckle. "True. But the reward would be massive if she pulls it off."
Jas gave him a sharp look. "How?"
"Think about it." Noah crossed his arms. "Allen's the son of the gaming empire's owner. He's not just so high-level player; he has influence. He knows the right people. And if Sophia could get Allen wrapped around her finger?"
Jas swore softly. "She'd get access to his connections. His reputation. His money. And worst of all? His influence."
Darren's expression darkened. "She doesn't care about him. Just what he can give her."
Liam's jaw clenched. "She always plays the long ga. Allen's her endga."
Elio's eyes narrowed. "That explains why she latched onto Mr. Bell. He's connected to Allen's modeling gigs."
Noah tapped the table. "She's moving up the chain. Bell was step one. Allen's the jackpot."
Elio stopped pacing, turning to face the group. "Okay. We know what she wants. We know how she manipulates people." His gaze shifted to Jas. "So what's the move?"
Jas rubbed his hands together, the gears turning behind his eyes. "We warn Allen. And then we dig deeper."
Liam frowned. "And what about us?"
"You stay close to her."
Darren stiffened. "You want us to keep following her?"
"Yes." Elio's expression hardened. "Because if she's planning sothing, she'll get careless eventually. And when she does… we'll be ready."
The room went silent again as the weight of the plan settled over them.
Sophia had played her ga for long enough.
Now?
It was their turn.
