Villain Ch 1379. You Need A Secretary!

Evan smirked. "Yeah, you need, like, a personal assistant to keep your schedule in check. You know, soone to handle emails, set up etings, remind you when to eat—"

Allen sighed. "I'm fine."

Evan and Geralt exchanged a look.

Geralt smirked. "Denial."

Evan nodded. "Classic."

Allen just shook his head. He wasn't about to admit they might have a point.

This whole conversation had derailed way too fast.

Geralt leaned in with an exaggerated thoughtful expression. "You know what's better than an assistant?"

Allen didn't take the bait. "I don't care."

Geralt smirked. "A secretary."

Allen blinked. "What—"

Geralt grinned. "A female assistant."

Allen visibly cringed. "W-What—"

Before he could even process that cursed suggestion, Evan chid in.

"Oh yeah, I agree with that," Evan nodded enthusiastically. "A beautiful secretary. You know you'll need one. You're a long-lost young master, right? That's how these things go. You need a girl who can remind you about this and that, keep your schedule in check—"

"Sothing that makes you enthusiastic," Geralt added with a smug grin.

Allen groaned. "Kai's got that covered."

Evan shook his head. "Yeah, but Kai's a he. He's not a she."

Allen cringed harder. "That's a terrible argunt."

Geralt patted his shoulder. "You know, that girl with the big boobies who talked to you yesterday at the event? She seems suitable."

Allen imdiately frowned. "What—who?"

"The blondie," Geralt grinned knowingly.

Allen's frown deepened. "You an… Mila?"

Geralt snapped his fingers. "Yup. I don't know her na, but I'm pretty sure she's at least a model."

Allen sighed. "She is."

Evan's eyes lit up. "And I'm pretty sure she has a crush on you."

Allen slowly turned to him.

Evan's proud grin was enough to make Allen imdiately suspicious.

"How do you even know that?" Allen asked, crossing his arms.

Evan's grin widened. "Oh, it's too obvious."

Geralt nodded sagely. "Way too obvious."

Allen wasn't convinced. "How?"

Evan leaned back, smirking. "You probably didn't realize how she acted because you were too busy mingling and paying attention to the event."

Geralt nodded. "But we—" he gestured dramatically between himself and Evan, "—we had a lot of ti in between eating."

Evan nodded. "And we observed."

Allen raised an eyebrow. "Observed what, exactly?"

Evan's grin turned mischievous. "Everything."

Geralt jumped in. "For example—your ex."

Allen imdiately groaned. "Oh god."

"Yup," Geralt said, smirking. "She looked completely frustrated. Like, one step away from destroying you, but she couldn't."

Allen exhaled sharply. "Great."

Evan laughed. "Oh, it was hilarious. She was seething but had to keep it together. But that's not the fun part."

Allen tilted his head. "What's the fun part?"

Geralt grinned. "Your girlfriends."

Allen stilled. "What about them?"

Evan smirked. "We caught them watching you. Checking on you. Making sure you were okay."

Allen blinked. "That's… normal?"

"Yeah, but it's different," Geralt said. "They weren't clingy about it. They weren't hovering. But they were aware. Like, if you needed them, they'd be there in a second."

Evan nodded. "Bro. You're so lucky."

Allen was silent for a second. Then he shrugged. "I an… yeah."

Geralt sighed dramatically. "Man. Seven beautiful, powerful girlfriends. That's already insane."

Evan suddenly grinned. "And yet…"

Allen narrowed his eyes. "And yet, what?"

Evan's grin turned evil. "I think seven is not an even number."

Geralt snickered. "That's true."

Allen's flat stare was imdiate. "Are you seriously about to say what I think you're about to say?"

Evan bead. "Maybe you can make it eight."

Allen groaned. "You're ridiculous."

Evan waggled his eyebrows. "So, what do you think? Mila as your girlfriend?"

Allen paused.

For a second, he considered just brushing it off like the rest of their ridiculous conversation. But instead of laughing or groaning, his expression shifted.

His smirk faded. His face turned serious.

"It won't be that easy," he finally said.

Evan and Geralt blinked.

Geralt tilted his head. "Wait, what?"

Allen sighed, crossing his arms. "Mila… She's the daughter of Goldborne's rival company. That's what makes it difficult for us."

Evan's grin instantly dropped.

Geralt's smirk vanished.

"Oh," Evan muttered.

Allen nodded. "Yeah. Oh. Unless our families agree to work together or she completely breaks away from hers, it won't happen."

Geralt and Evan exchanged glances, their earlier amusent gone.

"Okay," Geralt said after a mont. "So, it won't be easy."

Allen let out a dry chuckle. "Not easy, of course. Status cos with both advantages and disadvantages."

Evan ran a hand through his hair. "Damn. I didn't even think about that."

Allen smirked slightly. "Of course you didn't. You were too busy trying to assign a secretary or girlfriend."

Geralt snickered. "That's true."

Evan sighed, then patted Allen's shoulder. "But hey. At least you're better now, right?"

Allen glanced at him, then nodded. "Yeah. I'm better."

By then, they had reached the train platform.

The announcent rang overhead, calling for the final boarding. Passengers moved past them, dragging their luggage, getting ready to depart.

Geralt glanced at the clock. "Hey, we need to get on the train now."

Evan nodded but then hesitated.

He turned back to Allen, his expression more serious than before.

"Do you want to leave a ssage for Mom or anything?"

Allen's jaw tensed.

Evan continued, his voice careful. "I an, I know your relationship with her, and I know what her wish is, but… who knows?"

Allen didn't even hesitate.

He shook his head. "No. I'm done with her."

Evan exhaled, his shoulders slumping slightly.

Allen's voice was calm, firm. "You know her, Evan. You know how she is. For her, I'm a mistake and it will always be."

Evan bit the inside of his cheek, then nodded. "Okay."

He didn't push.

Instead, he stepped forward and pulled Allen into a hug.

It wasn't quick. It wasn't half-assed. It was genuine.

"Take care of yourself, brother," Evan muttered.

Allen patted his back. "You too."

Evan pulled away slightly, his grip still firm on Allen's shoulder.

"If…" His voice wavered just a bit. "If soday Goldborne doesn't want you, please tell . I'll do what I can."

Allen blinked.

Evan swallowed hard. "I might not be rich. But I'll try to get a good career, so you'll be proud of ."

Allen's chest tightened.

He never needed Evan to prove himself. He never expected anything from him. But hearing him say that—hearing him an it—was sothing else entirely.
