"Okay," he muttered, staring at the ceiling. "Should I write? Should I…"

He glanced at the clock.

Dinner wasn't far off.

His fingers twitched.

He could write, but it wouldn't be enough to finish a chapter. And if there was one thing Allen absolutely hated, it was breaking his flow mid-zone. Writing wasn't just about sitting down and typing—it was about diving in. Feeling the rhythm, building montum. Stopping halfway through would just make the whole thing feel forced later.

He groaned. "Nope. Writing's impossible right now."

Flopping back against his pillows, he exhaled sharply, eyes scanning the ceiling like it held so kind of answer to his current dilemma.

According to her, there were multiple clues in the lore that suggested his downfall wasn't supposed to co from brute force—but through an emotional reckoning.

Allen smirked. The only reckoning I'll give them is a massacre.

But sothing else caught his attention.

There was an edited section.

His gaze narrowed as he scrolled further down, and there it was—several photos from last night's event.

And there she was. Smiling. Laughing. Posing elegantly in her dress as if she were ant to be there.

And the caption?

"Grateful for the devs' special invitation to attend last night's exclusive event! Such an honor to be part of sothing so grand!"

Allen let out a slow breath, his fingers gripping the phone tighter.
