Villain Ch 1343. What's Eating Him?

Allen sat on his dark obsidian throne, his fingers drumming against the armrest as he gazed out at the grand throne room. His Devil Emperor avatar, clad in its iconic black and crimson armor, radiated an aura of nace. His glowing crimson eyes burned with intensity, and the shadows in the room seed to deepen with every exhale he let out.

His mind was far from the throne room, though. The announcent of his status as a Goldborne heir, the overwhelming spotlight that followed, and the relentless dia frenzy had left him with little room to breathe. Everywhere he looked—gaming forums, news outlets, even business discussions—his na was the centerpiece.

Even though he wanted to step out of the market and slip into his more casual persona, Al, everything that had transpired left him tethered here.

"Ugh," he muttered under his breath, his voice reverberating through the throne room. The sound of it startled him, and he let out a bitter laugh. 'Even in here, I can't escape.'

The eting table in front of him was occupied by his loyal companions—his girlfriends in-ga and out. They sat quietly, stealing nervous glances at one another as they picked up on his foul mood. The Devil Emperor in a bad mood was not a sight anyone wanted to linger on.

Bella leaned over to Alice, her voice barely above a whisper. "What's eating him? He's been like this since he logged in."

Alice, who was twirling a strand of her hair, shrugged. "Beats . I an, did you see the news? He's everywhere. Maybe it's that."

Bella frowned. "You think he's tired of the spotlight?"

"More like suffocating under it," Alice replied with a small sigh.

Allen caught their murmurs and shot a sharp glance their way. Both of them imdiately straightened, their expressions shifting to innocence. He let out another exhale, forcing himself to rein in his frustration. "If you have sothing to say, say it," he said curtly.

Bella and Alice exchanged a look before Bella hesitantly spoke. "It's just… you seem a bit off. Did sothing happen?"

Allen's gaze softened slightly, but only slightly. "It's everything. The event, the announcent, the damn dia. I can't even walk around as Al without feeling like soone's watching . It's even worse than the last wedding event."

Larissa, seated farther down the table, raised an eyebrow. "It's not like you to let sothing like that get to you. What's really bothering you?"

Allen leaned back, his armor clinking softly against the throne. He stared at the ceiling, letting out a long sigh. "No, seriously. I can't go anywhere! I an, as a re player, without people swarming like I'm so kind of rare boss drop."

Larissa grimanced. "Ouch."

Allen nodded, his lips pressing into a thin line. "Yeah. It's ridiculous. One event, and now it feels like I've lost every ounce of anonymity I ever had."

Larissa smirked, crossing her arms. "Well, maybe you should embrace it. Start crazy mode again, slaughtering players for no reason. Make them fear you all over again."

Allen huffed a laugh. "Tempting."

Shea leaned forward with a sly grin. "Or maybe you could let loose in the real world. You've earned so attention after last night. Clear your mind so you can be yourself again."

Zoe perked up at that, turning to Shea with a nod. "Yeah, because honestly, you're stuck. It's like you're permanently toggling between young master mode and Devil Emperor mode. You need a reset."

Allen gave Zoe a flat stare. "Are you saying I'm in a bad mood?"

Zoe didn't even hesitate. "Yup. Even without your Demonic Energy, I can practically see the dark aura swirling around you."

Allen groaned. "I'm not that bad."

All the girls, as if rehearsed, disagreed in unison. "No, you're that bad."

He raised an eyebrow, clearly unimpressed. "Thanks for the vote of confidence."

Jane, who had been uncharacteristically quiet throughout the exchange, had been staring at Allen with a flushed face. She seed lost in thought, her eyes fixed on him with a peculiar intensity. When Allen's gaze finally shifted to her, he raised a brow. "Jane, why are you so quiet?"

Jane blinked rapidly, snapped out of her trance. "Yes, Daddy—I an, Allen!" Her face turned a deeper shade of red as the words tumbled out.

The entire room froze for a mont before bursting into laughter. Larissa nearly fell out of her seat, clutching her stomach. "Oh my god, Jane, did you just—"

Jane flailed her hands in front of her. "I didn't an it like that! It just slipped out! I an, uh…" She trailed off, clearly flustered.

Zoe smirked, leaning closer to Jane. "No, no, please continue. This is the best thing I've heard all day."

Jane groaned, burying her face in her hands. "I just… I an, Allen looks like a sugar daddy in a bad mood. Kind of hot, you know?"

Allen pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to keep his composure. "I don't even know where to start with that."

Shea laughed, shaking her head. "Well, at least she's honest."

Larissa wiped away a tear of laughter. "You know, Jane, you're not wrong. There's sothing about Allen brooding on that throne. It's a vibe."

Alice, who had been laughing quietly, finally chid in. "But seriously, Allen, Zoe has a point. You've been carrying a lot lately. Maybe you do need to unwind."

Allen crossed his arms, his gaze softening slightly. "And how do you propose I do that? Another event? More mingling with people who want sothing from ?"

Shea leaned back with a smirk. "Nah. Sothing simpler. Just us, no crowds, no investors. Maybe a private raid or a chill hangout in the real world."

Zoe nodded enthusiastically. "Yeah, let's ditch all the drama for a bit. Go full casual."

Allen sighed, a small smile tugging at the corner of his lips despite himself. "You make it sound so easy."

Larissa leaned forward, her expression earnest. "It can be. Just let us take care of the details. You've done enough for everyone else. Let us handle it this ti."

Allen looked around at the girls, their supportive smiles softening his mood. He exhaled, nodding slowly. "Alright. I'll trust you on this."

The tension in the room had just started to dissipate when the door swung open, and Vivian sauntered in with her signature grin. "Hey, guys. Miss ?"
