Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives Chapter 1292: Familiar Faces
Villain Ch 1292. Familiar Faces
Sophia stepped out of the car first, her heels clicking softly against the polished pavent. The venue towered before them, its futuristic architecture glowing under strategically placed lights. The sleek, modern lines of the exterior were a contrast to the fantasy-thed adventure that unfolded as they entered. The duality of it all was striking—futuristic wealth wrapped in a cloak of escapist imagination.
Mr. Bell followed, adjusting his suit as his sharp eyes scanned the grand entrance. The doorn, dressed in intricate dieval-thed uniforms inspired by Hell's Gate, bowed slightly as they held open the massive double doors.
Sophia stepped inside, her breath caught in her throat. "Oh my God…" she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper.
The interior was nothing short of stunning. The walls were lined with screens displaying scenes from what looked like a living, breathing fantasy world. Castles lood, forests whispered, and dragons soared, all brought to life by state-of-the-art projections. The lighting played its part perfectly, shifting subtly to match the ambiance of each scene. A soft, ethereal BGM filled the space, weaving seamlessly with the visuals to create an atmosphere that was both imrsive and otherworldly.
"Wow," Mr. Bell said, his tone laced with genuine admiration. "As expected of Goldborne… They throw money around like it's nothing."
Sophia nodded absently, her eyes darting around the room. The guests were just as impressive as the venue itself. n in tailored tuxedos and won in gowns that looked like they belonged on a runway mingled effortlessly. It was a crowd that scread wealth and power, yet the dieval-thed staff added a layer of playfulness to the event. Each staff mber was dressed in ga-inspired gear—chainmail, leather armor, or flowing wizard robes—blurring the lines between reality and fantasy.
Before they could fully take in the scene, a staff mber approached them with a clipboard, her costu a mix of a ranger and a hostess. "Good evening. May I see your invitation, please?"
Mr. Bell reached into his jacket pocket, pulling out the gilded envelope. "Here you go."
The staff mber took it, her eyes scanning the information quickly before glancing up with a polite smile. "Thank you, Mr. Bell. And this is…?" She gestured toward Sophia.
"My assistant," Mr. Bell replied smoothly.
The staff mber nodded. "Perfect. You're all set. Enjoy the evening." She stepped aside, gesturing them in.
They moved further into the venue. Sophia caught her reflection in a mirrored pillar. Her red dress shimred under the soft lighting, the intricate detailing catching every flicker of light. For a mont, she let herself feel it—the power, the allure of being here, of belonging in a space like this. 'This is it,' she thought. 'I've made it.'
anwhile, Elio was making his way through the venue with Alexander trailing behind him. The two were an odd pair, the confident High Paladin and the shy High Priest, navigating the bustling crowd of tycoons and influencers.
Elio glanced around, his sharp eyes scanning for their assigned seats. But as he turned a corner, he stopped abruptly, his gaze locking onto a pair of familiar figures.
"Hey," Elio muttered, narrowing his eyes. "What the hell are they doing here?"
Alexander, who had been timidly following behind, stepped up beside him, frowning in confusion. "Who do you an?"
Elio gestured subtly toward a group near the far end of the hall. Two n, both tall and casually confident, were chatting animatedly with a beautiful woman in a sleek black dress. Her eyes darted around the room, scanning as if she were looking for sothing—or soone.
"Noah and Jas," Elio said, his voice low. "What are they doing here?"
Alexander frowned deeper, his brows knitting together. "Who?"
Elio sighed, exasperated. "Arrow_Master and Lord*Hunter. From my guild."
Recognition flashed across Alexander's face. "Oh, them." His expression brightened slightly, and for the first ti that evening, he didn't seem so out of place. "That's great! There are other people we know here."
"Yeah, it's great," Elio said sarcastically. "Except they weren't supposed to be invited."
Alexander's brow furrowed. "Maybe they had connections? Or… maybe it's a coincidence?"
Elio shook his head. "Maybe? Also…" He nodded toward the woman with them. "I've never seen her before."
Alexander glanced toward the group again, his curiosity piqued. "Maybe she's a colleague? Or…" He hesitated, lowering his voice. "A date?"
Elio smirked faintly. "Jas? A date? That'll be the day."
Since the event hadn't officially started yet, the room was abuzz with pre-show chatter. Elio gestured for Alexander to follow him. "Co on. Let's go see what they're up to."
Alexander hesitated. But Elio didn't give him a choice, striding toward the group with his usual air of authority.
When they reached them, Noah was mid-sentence, gesturing animatedly about sothing. The mont he spotted Elio, his grin widened.
"Well, well," Noah said, raising a hand in mock surrender. "Look who it is—the Leader of the Order of Valiance himself."
Jas turned, his expression more subdued but still friendly. "Hey, champ!"
"Didn't expect to see both of you here either," Elio replied pointedly. "What's going on?"
Jas shrugged, his tone calm. "I'm one of this building's investors. Thought I'd check out how the event's running. I don't need an invitation to get in. It's a part of work."
"And you brought Noah… why?" Elio's gaze flicked to his other guildmate, who was already smirking.
"Support," Noah said with a wink. "You know, moral support. Can't let Jas have all the fun."
"And her?" Elio asked, nodding toward the woman. "Who's she?"
The woman turned to face him fully, her eyes eting his. "Mila," she said simply. "Noah's sister."
Elio blinked, caught off guard. "Sister? You an Shanty?"
"Yes, that's ," Mila stated, smiling.
Alexander, who had been standing awkwardly to the side, finally spoke up. "It's nice to see familiar faces. Even if it's… unexpected."
Mila smiled at him, her expression softening slightly. "Likewise. And you are?"
"Alexander," he said quickly, his tone shy but polite. "Father^Alex, in-ga."
Her eyes lit up with recognition. "Ah, the famous healer. Noah's talked about you."
"Has he?" Alexander asked, looking genuinely surprised.
"Oh, absolutely," Mila said with a teasing grin. "All good things, of course."
