Villain Ch 1229. Trouble Finds Its Way

Gilbert wore a well-fitted polo shirt and jeans, looking relaxed but still oddly formal for the gym. Elio, on the other hand, rocked a graphic tee and joggers, his confident smirk intact.

The other two, however, looked like they'd walked straight out of a luxury catalog. Tailored shirts, sleek jackets, and watches. They didn't belong here—not in a gym where people were dripping sweat and grunting mid-rep.

Allen groaned inwardly. "What are they doing here?"

Gerry, still leaning against the bench, smirked. "That should be my question. Why are your suit friends invading my gym?"

Allen was silent for a mont. The mory of yesterday's conversation—the one he'd tried to forget—ca rushing back, hitting him like a slap to the face.

"Oh, no," he muttered under his breath. His pace slowed, and he cringed internally. "I think I know what this is about."

Gerry raised an eyebrow. "Care to share with the class?"

Allen sighed, running a hand through his hair. "Yesterday. Guild leaders. Dumb conversation. Ughh… I never thought they'd actually do it!"

"Do what?" Gerry pressed, but Allen didn't answer. His attention was already on the n in the doorway.

Gilbert spotted Allen first and grinned, his sharp features softening slightly. "Ah, there he is. Our favorite Hell's Gate player turned gym rat."

Allen felt his stomach drop as Gilbert waved enthusiastically from across the room, his grin wide enough to make the situation feel even more awkward than it already was.

"Allen! Gerry!" Gilbert called, his voice cutting through the general gym chatter.

"Hey, Gilbert!" Gerry called, his grin matching Gilbert's.

Allen, anwhile, grunted and muttered, "Oh no…"

Gerry tilted his head toward Allen, his expression curious. "Why do you look like you just slled trouble?"

Allen didn't stop walking, but his voice dropped low. "Because they didn't co here for a casual chat."

"Then why?" Gerry pressed, his grin widening as if he was already entertained.

"They ca to watch trouble," Allen said with a sigh.

"Trouble?" Gerry asked, his eyes sparkling. "What kind of trouble?"

Allen shot him a dry look. "The Sophia kind. They ca here to watch the drama."

That was all Gerry needed to hear. His face lit up like a kid on Christmas morning. "Oh, so they're my friends."

Allen cringed. "Friends? Seriously?"

"Hey, anyone who cos to watch drama is good in my book," Gerry said with a laugh. "Your drama especially."

By then, Gilbert and his entourage were close enough to hear the tail end of their conversation. Elio stepped forward first, his easy going smirk as annoying in person as it was in the ga. He extended a hand, his voice laced with amusent. "Allen. Always a pleasure."

Allen reluctantly shook his hand, his expression unreadable. "Elio."

Gilbert, not one to be outdone, clapped Allen on the shoulder with far too much enthusiasm. "Good to see you, Allen. And Gerry, hey, dude. Still spotting for this guy?"

Gerry grinned. "Always. Soone's gotta make sure he doesn't crush himself under a barbell."

Allen rolled his eyes. "I'm standing right here, you know."

Gilbert ignored him, turning slightly to gesture at the two n standing behind him. "Oh, right. Introductions are in order. These two are... well, let's just say, you might know them."

The first man stepped forward, his tailored suit pristine and his deanor exuding confidence. His sharp jawline, perfectly styled dark hair, and expensive watch scread "wealthy entrepreneur." He extended a hand. "Theodore, but you'd know as Mastercraft."

Allen blinked, shaking his hand cautiously. "Mastercraft. Yeah. I never thought I would et you in real life."

Theodore smirked, clearly pleased. "Guilty as charged. It's good to finally put a face to the na."

Before Allen could reply, the second man stepped forward. He was shorter than Theodore but stockier, with broad shoulders and a firm handshake that spoke of strength more than polish. His red hair was cropped short, and his eyes sparkled with a mix of curiosity and humor. "Tommy," he said, his voice deep but friendly. "Or Red_King, if that rings a bell."

Allen tilted his head. "Yup…"

"Figured it was about ti I t the famous Al, the assassin, in the flesh," Tommy said with a grin, his handshake firm as he sized Allen up.

Allen gave him a dry look. "That's , alright. I assu you didn't travel all this way just for introductions."

Tommy's grin widened. "Well, you're half-right. We're here for a bit more than that."

Allen sighed, glancing at the group. "So… I guess Father^Alex—is here too?"

"No," Tommy said, shaking his head. "He didn't want to join us. Said sothing about having more important things to do."

"It's a pity," Theodore chid in, his polished deanor not faltering. "We should've grabbed him and dragged him along by force."

Allen raised an eyebrow. "That's illegal."

"It's fine," Tommy said with a chuckle. "He wouldn't put up much of a fight."

Allen rolled his eyes. "Right. Anyway, let guess. You guys are here for the show?"

Gilbert's grin grew wider, his sharp features practically glowing with mischief. "You know it. Besides, I wanted to see how a top-tier VR player manages to find ti for the gym. It's rare, you know."

Gerry let out a scoff, crossing his arms as he leaned against the bench. "Rare? Not even close. I et plenty of gars here. It's not like they're allergic to physical activity."

"Oh, co on," Gilbert said, smirking. "You've got to admit, seeing soone like Allen here feels like spotting a unicorn."

"Unicorn, my ass," Gerry muttered. He grabbed Gilbert's shoulder with a grin. "Speaking of schedules, you should be one of those gym-going unicorns. Yet you keep ditching your sessions. Am I, right? What's your excuse this ti, huh?"

Gilbert raised his hands defensively. "Give a break, will you? I've been busy."

"Busy skipping leg day?" Gerry shot back, his grin growing wider.

Allen stifled a laugh, shaking his head. "Alright, alright. As entertaining as this is, you guys know this isn't the best place for a chat, right? We're going to end up disturbing everyone here."

"Good point," Theodore said, glancing around. "The other mbers are already giving us side-eye."

"Lobby?" Allen suggested, already moving toward the entrance.

"Lead the way," Elio said, the smirk never leaving his face.
