Villain Ch 1189. Guild Leaders on The Run [Part 1]

"Well, that's just what she wanted," Red_King muttered, folding his arms as he watched the scene unfold.

Mastercraft nodded in agreent. "She's always loved the attention. Being in the middle of it… that's her thing."

Allen's eyes drifted to Elio, watching his reaction carefully. Elio's expression was hard to read at first, but the longer Allen looked, the clearer it beca—disappointnt and anger simred in his gaze, no regret whatsoever. It was obvious Sophia's move hadn't surprised him, but it still stung.

Without thinking, Allen reached out and gave Elio a solid pat on the shoulder. Elio turned to him, looking as if he'd almost forgotten Allen was there. A quiet understanding passed between them, no words necessary.

But just then, the sound of footsteps echoed from the front of the alley, making them all turn instinctively. Another familiar figure was approaching, drawing as much attention as Sophia had monts before. It was Arcana. The girls were after him, too, trailing him like a pack of hunters.

Seeing Allen and the others, Arcana's face lit up with a desperate expression. He dashed toward them, nearly stumbling in his rush, his eyes pleading. "Guys, you have to help !" he hissed, practically diving into their group.

But before any of them could respond, Arcana's sudden dash exposed their hiding spot. A chorus of excited gasps and whispers rose from the alley entrance as the female players spotted them.

"Oh my god, it's all of them!" one of the players squealed, her eyes lighting up. "Arcana, Mac, Red_King, Mastercraft, Father^Alex and… oh my god, it's Al!"

They felt a chill run down their spines as the group of girls advanced, their gazes sharp and determined. Those girls weren't just here to watch—these players were ready to take action.

Allen shot a glare at Arcana, who looked sheepishly apologetic. "Thanks a lot, Arcana," he muttered, exasperation plain on his face.

Arcana raised his hands defensively, a sheepish grin on his face. "Sorry! I didn't an to blow your cover… I just, uh… panicked."

Elio rolled his eyes. "Well, panic a little quieter next ti, will you?"

Red_King groaned, taking a step back as the girls moved closer. "Too late for that. They've spotted us. Ti to go."

One of the female players, a warrior in white battle armor, stepped forward, her eyes gleaming. "Arcana! Al! You guys aren't seriously thinking of just running, are you? Co on, just hear us out! We're great partners, I swear!"

Another voice piped up—a sorceress, draped in elaborate robes, her staff sparking with magic. "Arcana, please! Just a quick oath! It's only for the event! You'd be perfect for it!"

Allen took another step back, bumping into Mastercraft, who was looking equally uneasy. "I'm out," he muttered under his breath.

Mastercraft chuckled nervously, glancing over his shoulder. "Yeah, I think I'll join you."

Before they could move, yet another player called out, her voice louder than the rest. "Mac! You promised to partner with , didn't you?"

Elio shot her a pained look, staring at the girl. "I never said that! You are delusional!"

The warrior girl pouted, crossing her arms. "We made our promise!"

A mage with fancy robes, called. "Father^Alex, wait! Co on, we need a healer for this event! It's not like you're exempt!"

Father^Alex turned to face her, hands raised in protest, his expression caught between panic and righteous indignation. "Listen, I'm a servant of God… I won't marry!" he stamred.

The second player, a rogue with daggers strapped across her belt, snorted. "And? You're still a healer, aren't you? Healers can marry. It's literally part of the ga. Co on, don't be difficult!"

Father^Alex looked appalled, clutching his staff as if it were a holy relic. "I am not difficult! But this whole… this whole event—it's inappropriate!"

The mage rolled her eyes, unfazed. "Inappropriate? It's just a ga. And a blood oath isn't that different from a vow, you know? Think of it as an extra commitnt to the party. Besides, we'll make a great team!"

Mastercraft couldn't help but snicker, despite the madness of the situation. "Co on, Alex, you're always saying we should work as a team. Guess this is teamwork, Hell's Gate-style."

Father^Alex shot him a horrified glare. "This is not teamwork! And I don't need to be tied down by so… so contractual obligation!"

One of the other girls, a rogue with short-cropped hair, pointed at Allen. "Al, I'll make you a deal. Join in the blood oath, and I'll give you the best upgrades I've got. Full set of legendary runes, just for you."

Allen tried to keep a straight face. "I appreciate the offer, but… I'm good. Really."

Another girl leaned in, batting her eyelashes. "But think about it! With your skills, we'd be unstoppable!"

Allen cringed. "I'm not looking for a partner. I'm just here for so items. That's it!"

Arcana, still surrounded by the eager players, was grinning awkwardly, trying to keep everyone at arm's length. "Look, ladies, as flattering as this is, I think maybe we should give it a break, huh?"

The sorceress scoffed. "Give it a break? You think we'll just let this chance slip by? An oath with any of you would be a dream!"

Allen shot another glare at Arcana. "This is your fault, you know. We could've stayed hidden."

Arcana grimaced. "Yeah… maybe. But look on the bright side. At least now we're all in this together?"

Red_King let out a dry chuckle. "Great. Misery loves company, huh?"

Elio rolled his eyes, visibly annoyed. "Alright, enough. Either we make a break for it, or we're signing oaths right here and now."

Another girl, a priestess with a hopeful smile, stepped forward. "Red_King, please consider partnering with ! I've been waiting all day."

Red_King sighed, looking like he was caught in a trap. "Listen, I—"

Before he could finish, Allen grabbed his arm, nodding toward the alley's other end. "There's no point in talking to them."
