Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives Chapter 1163: Dark powers And Broccoli
Villain Ch 1163. Dark powers And Broccoli
Alice didn't miss a beat. "Well, if the bell fits, wear it."
"Co on, Alice, cut so slack," Bella said, giving her friend a pleading look. "At least pamper a bit, I an, it's been a rough day here, hasn't it?"
"Absolutely not." Alice grinned, crossing her arms. "This was self-inflicted. You practically begged for that bite mark."
Bella looked around, her eyes landing on Shea. She turned her most dramatic, wide-eyed look on her. "Shea, you've gotta help out here. Please?"
With a smirk, Shea opened her arms with exaggerated warmth. "Co to mommy," she teased.
Bella instantly perked up, throwing herself into Shea's arms with a pitiful look. "Finally, soone understands the struggle!" she sighed, all theatrics and no real sha.
The others couldn't help but laugh at the scene. Allen just shook his head, amused as he tucked away his newly-contracted Warlord. He looked at Bella, who was clearly basking in the attention she'd drumd up for herself.
"Glad to see you're surviving, Bella," he said, an eyebrow raised. "Let know if you need another fox bell, though. I'm sure I can pull so strings," he teased.
"Oh, shut up," Bella said with a grin, reluctantly pulling herself out of Shea's embrace.
"So," Larissa said, wiping a tear from laughing so hard. "Are we going to actually finish this quest or just keep pampering Bella's ego all night?"
Allen shrugged, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Well, if we're done with the Bella redemption arc here, I'm pretty sure we all know that fox eventually turns into the Bella we know and love. Probably after a few 'dark side' corruptions, courtesy of the devil emperor."
Alice raised an eyebrow, folding her arms. "Still, sothing feels off. I'm curious about what went on behind the scenes, you know? The fox doesn't exactly look like Bella now; more like a mischievous little kid. So how'd she turn from that into, well… this?" She waved her hand up and down in Bella's direction.
Bella placed her hands on her hips with a grin. "Easy answer! The emperor gave good food and a daily dose of vitamins. That's how I grew up into this fabulous woman you see before you," she quipped, tossing her hair dramatically.
Shea snorted. "Vitamins, huh? Pretty sure the emperor's 'nutrition plan' involved more... let's say dark powers and less balanced diets."
"Dark powers and broccoli, maybe," Allen chuckled. "That explains everything."
Bella rolled her eyes but couldn't hide her smirk. "Laugh it up. I an, I'm still a bit peeved that my backstory isn't tragic or dramatic like yours. It's like everyone else has this deeply tragic history and big revelations, and here I am, the fox spirit who wanted to play in the dark."
"Maybe they just knew you could handle it better than we could." Zoe nudged Bella with her elbow. "Or maybe you're the codic relief in all of our epic tragedies?"
Bella shot her a look. "Oh, sure. I'm here to make everyone else's trauma easier to bear. Just call the court jester of the Cursed Crypts."
"You wear it well," Larissa teased. "Besides, you'd probably make a great jester, considering you're already all about the theatrics."
Bella shook her head with an exaggerated sigh, though a playful grin remained on her face. "Fine, but next ti I want a tragic, twisted backstory. Sothing with more emotional weight, you know? Really sell it."
Alice chuckled, clearly amused. "I'm just imagining this noble quest to discover the dark origins of Bella. 'She was once a little fox who dared to steal the bells of the emperor...'" She lowered her voice dramatically, making everyone chuckle.
Allen, glancing at the ti, stretched his arms and sighed. "Alright, well, as much fun as this is, I think we should head back to the base. Gotta log out soon; it's almost dinner ti for ."
The girls exchanged knowing looks, their expressions playful but slightly concerned. "Text us if anything happens at dinner," Vivian said, trying to keep her tone casual but giving Allen a raised eyebrow. "I'm guessing your dad's not just going to let this little event hijack go."
"Yeah," Larissa chid in, smirking. "Especially if Emma's around. We all know she's going to have so words thrown her way."
Allen nodded, half-sighing. "Trust , I'm expecting a full-on interrogation. I'll let you guys know if things get… eventful."
The girls chuckled, and with a few more jokes and goodbyes, they were back to the base, parting ways for the day as Allen logged out.
Allen slipped the VR device off his head, and his eyes adjusted back to his room. Sohow, he felt more drained than usual. It wasn't that he was physically exhausted, but ntally—knowing that the upcoming dinner would feel like an interrogation. He hated that kind of scene, sothing rooted in his past where he was always the one put under scrutiny by his mother and stepfather. Despite being free of them now, the feeling still lingered.
"Guess I still have to say a thing or two to Emma," Allen muttered to himself. Out of everyone involved, he was probably the one most frustrated with her antics—well, apart from the staff and developers, who'd probably been in a full-blown panic the second she hijacked the event.
"Well, it is what it is…" he sighed, heading into the bathroom to freshen up. He splashed cold water on his face, ran his fingers through his hair, and made sure he looked calm enough for whatever was about to go down at the table. Grabbing his phone as a potential escape, he headed downstairs.
He found Emma already seated at the dining table, her usual smirk replaced by a nervous glance in his direction. She barely looked at him and, instead, focused on her plate. Allen noticed her pasta was already half-eaten; clearly, she'd decided to eat first, bracing herself for whatever was about to co. He suspected she was getting it down now because once Jordan joined them, things were going to get intense, and food wouldn't taste quite the sa.
