Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives Chapter 1118: Where’s The Spark?
Villain Ch 1118. Where's The Spark?
There wasn't much else for Allen and Gerry to discuss after that. The strange situation with Sophia and the mystery surrounding the car was still unresolved, but it wasn't sothing Allen could solve imdiately. He would have to let it sit for now, hoping that the pieces would eventually fall into place.
After parting ways with Gerry, Allen decided to et up with Larissa for lunch as usual. Larissa had just finished teaching her Pilates class, and the two often grabbed a bite together afterward. It had beco a routine of sorts, a brief respite from the chaos of their respective lives.
As they sat across from each other in a quiet café, Larissa sipped her iced tea and casually ntioned sothing that caught Allen off guard. "By the way, Sophia hasn't been attending my class anymore." She said it with a note of finality, as if it were a small victory.
Allen glanced up from his al, raising an eyebrow. "Really? You think she's given up?"
Larissa nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Seems like it. She was trying to hold on for a while, but I guess the effort wasn't worth it anymore." There was a certain satisfaction in her tone, not one born from pettiness, but from the relief of seeing the drama lose so of its steam. "But yeah, she's not causing any waves in class anymore. Good riddance."
Allen nodded, grateful that Sophia seed to be pulling back, at least in that area. "Mark said sothing similar earlier—about how she's still stirring things up here and there. He tried to straighten out the facts, and so people listened, but most were just staying neutral. They don't want to get involved."
"Can't bla them," Larissa said, leaning back in her chair. "I tried to do the sa, clear up so of the nonsense, but you know how it goes. So people believe what they want, others just don't care. They're more interested in you than her, though. So there's that."
"Great, more eyes on ," Allen said with a smirk, though he didn't mind it as much as he let on.
After lunch, Allen headed back ho. His mind, however, wasn't entirely focused on the drama with Sophia anymore. The conference preparation was looming large in his thoughts. He had a eting scheduled with Kai and a few of the staff to go over the final details. Everything was nearly in place—the design, decorations, food, staffing.
It was all coming together smoothly, but Allen knew better than to coast through the final stages. There were always last-minute issues, and he wanted to make sure nothing slipped through the cracks.
Once back at his mansion, Allen t with Kai and the rest of the team. They reviewed every aspect of the upcoming conference, discussing the flow of the event, contingency plans, and any potential challenges they might face. Fortunately, things were lining up perfectly. No significant difficulties had erged, and the few minor concerns that had arisen were easily addressed.
Still, Allen made a ntal note to remain vigilant in case anything unexpected popped up between now and the event.
The eting was over. The conference, which had initially been a daunting task, was now just a matter of execution. The groundwork had been laid, and now all that was left was to wait for the day to co. It was a satisfying feeling, knowing everything was in order, but it wasn't the only thing occupying his mind.
Tonight was a big night. More than a week had passed since the ga developer had announced the special event in Hell's Gate, and the five winners had finally been selected. The anticipation had been building ever since, with players buzzing about the opportunity to interact with the Devil Emperor himself.
In the Cursed Crypts' eting room, Allen and the girls—Vivian, Jane, Shea, and Zoe—were gathered around the large table, their ga's user interfaces in front of them.
"Are you ready for tonight?" Jane asked, her tone calm but carrying a hint of anticipation as she scrolled through her own inventory, making final adjustnts to her loadout.
Allen leaned back in his chair. "I'm ready," he said, though his voice lacked the usual fire.
Vivian smirked from across the table. "I expected a bit of excitent from you, but… why don't I feel it?" she teased, her eyes gleaming with playful curiosity. "Where's the spark, Devil Emperor?"
Allen glanced at them, the corners of his mouth twitching in a faint smile. "Do you want to know who the five winners are?"
The girls, who had been focusing on their own preparations, suddenly perked up, their attention locked on him. "Tell us!" they said almost in unison, their voices filled with excitent and curiosity.
Allen leaned forward slightly, his voice lowering as if to create suspense. "Azura, Mila, Elio, Father^Alex, and… Red_King."
For a mont, the room fell silent.
"Those are… familiar nas," Shea finally said, her voice cautious, as if weighing the implications of what Allen had just revealed. Her eyes flickered with concern as she thought about what this ant for the night's event.
Zoe crossed her arms, her expression a mix of surprise and wariness. "I'm surprised Mila made it." She paused, raising an eyebrow. "How did she even manage that?"
Allen let out a small sigh, rubbing the back of his neck as if the explanation pained him. "Jas and Noah sacrificed themselves for her during the event. They basically threw the match to get her the win. That's how she managed to secure a spot."
Jane, who had been silent up to this point, narrowed her eyes. "And what's with that look on your face? Sothing's still bothering you."
Allen exhaled, leaning back again, his eyes darkening as he considered the nas he had just dropped. "I'm not too worried about Mila or Father^Alex," he admitted, his tone shifting into sothing more serious, more asured. "But the other three… They're sharp. And two of them are guild leaders."
