Villain Ch 1098. Nyahahaha~

Bella, slumped against a large rock, groaned dramatically, "No," she whined, stretching her arms over her head, her tail swishing lazily behind her. "I'm so done with this floor. I can't believe we're still here." She looked utterly exhausted, though still as sharp as ever. "All these traps, all these monsters. Not to ntion that Riftkeeper who looks like a lted candle with too many eyes.

He is ugly."

Alice, who had been nursing a mana potion beside her, grumbled, "I hate that Rift guy. It's a nightmare." She threw the empty potion bottle to the side, clearly frustrated. "He better drop sothing good this ti, or I'm going to burn this entire dungeon down. I swear."

Shea turned toward Jane, who, strangely, had a big grin on her face. "Why do you look so happy?" Shea asked, raising an eyebrow. "You're usually the first to complain."

Jane's smile only widened. "Oh, I'm just feeling useful for once!" she exclaid, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "Usually, it's who was activating all the traps, but this ti…" She glanced over at Vivian, who was standing a little too quietly by the edge of the group, looking as if she wanted to disappear into thin air.

Vivian sighed, running her fingers through her hair. "Yeah, yeah, Karma finally got ," she admitted, shaking her head. "I guess I was due for it. Every step I took, boom, another trap in my face. If Allen hadn't been so quick with his barriers, I'd have been void food a dozen tis over."

"Karma's a bitch, huh, Viv?" Jane cackled, her laugh a little too enthusiastic, especially given the situation. "Nyahahaha~"

Vivian shot her a playful glare. "Keep it up, and Karma's going to co for you next, Jane."

Jane just shrugged, still grinning like a mischievous cat. "Let Karma try! I've survived worse." She flicked her finger with a flourish and gave a little twirl as if she cast a spell. "Besides, I'm sitting pretty right now. That last fight bumped my EXP by 50%! I'm finally getting sowhere in this dungeon."

"Fifty percent?!" Shea's eyes widened as she adjusted her gauntlets. "I swear, this place hates . I only went up like… maybe 30% at best." She tilted her head, letting out a sigh. "But at least I'm getting close to leveling up again."

Alice, sitting cross-legged as she rummaged through her inventory for another mana potion, looked up. "Oh, stop whining. I hit a level up right before that last fight." She held up her hands with a victorious grin. "I'm on to bigger and better things, thank you very much."

"Lucky you," Larissa muttered, not entirely serious but not completely joking either. She stretched, rolling her shoulders. "I'm still grinding through. My bar moved up about 45%. Better than usual, I guess, but I was hoping for a bit more after that last wave of undead." She glanced over at the pile of corpses still smoldering from the battle. "I an, we did wipe out half an army."

Zoe finally chid in. "I'm a little better off than you, Larissa," she said softly. "I leveled up too. Barely made it though, so I'll take it."

Everyone turned to Allen, who was inspecting his sword for any nicks or scratches. He hadn't said much, but it was clear his mind was already calculating the next move.

"Well?" Shea asked, curiosity getting the better of her. "How'd you do?"

Allen shrugged, his lips twitching into a small smile. "I'm close. Really close. I just need about 3% more to level up."

The group groaned in unison. "3%?" Bella said, throwing her hands up in disbelief. "I'm starting to think the ga's rigged in your favor, Allen. You're way higher level than the rest of us, and you're still that close after all this?"

Allen chuckled, shaking his head. "Higher levels need more EXP, but yeah, this place is pushing my bar faster than usual. Can't complain. I hate and love this place at the sa ti."

Vivian leaned back against the rocky wall, her arms crossed. "Well, good for you, boss man. At least you're not struggling like the rest of us down here in the trenches." She flashed him a teasing smirk before adding, "But seriously, what about the loot? That's what I'm really interested in."

Everyone perked up at that. EXP was one thing, but loot was the side prize in a dungeon like this.

Allen opened the inventory, pulling up the list of items he'd collected from the previous fights. His brows furrowed as he scrolled through the items, his expression neutral. "Hmm. Not that exciting this ti, to be honest."

Jane peeked over his shoulder. "What do you an, not exciting?" She squinted at the screen. "We killed so many things for this?"

"Yeah," Allen nodded. "It's not bad loot, but nothing legendary or rare this ti. Mostly materials, so armor pieces, potions, and coins. At least it'll cover the hunting expenses."

Bella pouted. "Sa here. No special weapons, no cool trinkets. Not even one of those fancy cursed rings."

" too," Vivian replied, shaking her head. "Just enough to restock and cover what I spent getting through this place. But hey, that's still sothing."

Alice sighed, closing her eyes in frustration. "I swear, this dungeon is stingy. You'd think after dealing with a void pit and an army of undead, we'd at least get sothing shiny. But yeah, we are coming for the EXP though."

"Shiny or not, we still need to prepare for the Riftkeeper," Larissa said, standing up and brushing off her pants. "We can't hang around here for much longer. The longer we wait, the more traps reset, and I don't think any of us want to go through that again," she shivered.

Vivian groaned. "Don't remind . My wings still hurt from that last void trap. Stupid things nearly sucked into another dinsion."

Shea nodded in agreent, flexing her fingers. "I'm with Larissa. We need to get moving before the dungeon decides to throw more boulders or worse at us."
