Villain Ch 1039. Unspoken Feelings [Part 2]

Her heart pounded in her chest. This wasn't how she wanted to leave. She didn't want it to end with a simple "see you later" and so vague promise of a future eting. The further she walked, the more her steps faltered, her hesitation growing stronger with every passing second.

Finally, after a few more steps, she stopped completely. 'I can't leave like this,' she thought, her heart racing. She turned around, and there he was—still standing where she'd left him, watching her with that sa calm expression.

Without giving herself ti to second-guess, Azura mustered all the courage she had and hurried back toward him. She reached him in a few quick strides, her heart hamring in her chest, and before she could talk herself out of it, she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him into a tight embrace.

Allen froze for a second, clearly surprised by the sudden hug. He wasn't sure what to do. Azura pressed her face into his chest, her heart racing with the intensity. She didn't want to leave him, not yet. Not when everything inside her was screaming to stay.

Allen hesitated, his hands hovering over her back. He wasn't sure if hugging her back would make things better or worse, but he could feel her trembling slightly against him, her grip tight as if she didn't want to let go. He knew sothing was going on in her head—sothing that had been bothering her for a while. And now, in this mont, he couldn't just stand there.

Slowly, Allen let his hands rest on Azura's back, pulling her into a gentle hug. But he didn't say a word. He didn't need to. He could feel her emotions in the way she clung to him. He didn't know exactly what was going on in her head, but he knew this hug was sothing she needed, and he hoped it would help, even if just a little.

Azura held on for a mont longer, her breath steadying against his chest. She wasn't sure how to say what she was feeling—or if she even wanted to. The ride here, his body's warmth, the comfort of his presence… it all stirred sothing in her that had been growing for a while now, sothing she didn't want to face but couldn't ignore any longer.

But now wasn't the ti to let those feelings spill out, not completely. Not yet.

After what felt like an eternity but was really just a few seconds, she slowly let go of him, stepping back. Her arms dropped to her sides, and she looked up at him with a smile—a smile that was both bitter and warm at the sa ti. There was sothing in her eyes, sothing that spoke of longing, but also a quiet resolve.

"See you later, cousin…" she said softly, her voice steady this ti. There was no regret in it, no hesitation, just a simple goodbye.

Allen searched her face, sensing the shift in her tone. This ti, it felt different. Less conflicted, more certain. He gave her a small, reassuring smile. But he didn't push her. Allen knew what her main dilemma was and he knew she needed space to figure things out.

Of course, he would give it to her.

Azura turned and started walking toward the station entrance again, her steps faster, more purposeful this ti. But as she walked away, her thoughts raced, and her heart pounded in her chest. 'We'll et again. Definitely…' she told herself. 'But for now, I have to calm myself down first. The next ti we et… I'll treat you better, not like this.

Not with my ssed up feelings.'

She felt a mix of emotions—relief, sadness, and an overwhelming sense of clarity that had eluded her until now. Being near him, feeling the warmth of his hug, had helped her co to terms with sothing she'd been wrestling with. Her feelings for Allen, complicated as they were, had been consuming her thoughts.

But now, she understood she needed to take a step back and figure out what she really wanted—what was right for both of them.

Azura glanced back over her shoulder one last ti, catching a glimpse of Allen still standing where she'd left him. He hadn't moved, just watching her with that sa calm expression, though she could see the concern in his eyes. She smiled to herself, feeling a warmth spread through her chest. He always cared, even when he didn't say much. That was just who he was.

But she couldn't keep lingering. She turned her gaze back toward the station, her thoughts quieter now, more focused. 'The next ti we et…' she thought, her heart steadying with the promise she made to herself. 'I'll be ready. I'll know how to handle this. I'll be better.'

Allen stood there, his eyes fixed on Azura's retreating figure as she walked further and further away, finally disappearing into the crowd of commuters at the station. He didn't move, not until she was completely out of sight. Only then did he let out a long breath. A dry smile crept across his lips, though it didn't reach his eyes.

"I hope you can find what you want, Azura," he whispered to himself, his voice barely audible above the noise of the bustling station.

Allen had known about Azura's feelings for him almost from the start. There had always been sothing lingering in the air between them. But lately, especially after spending so much ti together, it had beco impossible to ignore. The way she looked at him, the way she hesitated before speaking sotis—it all told him what he already knew deep down.

But he had never pushed her. He wasn't sure what to do with the knowledge, and truth be told, he wasn't sure what he felt either. Azura was his cousin, and that fact alone complicated everything.

A long exhale escaped Allen's mouth. He shoved his hands into his pockets, turned left, and started walking toward the parking lot.
