Ashen nodded: "You might have not noticed, but Lin Feng is just buying ti to heal his wounded body. Once he is healed, he will finish off Qin Feng and co after us. I don't think any of you will survive his onslaught."
Grave expressions spread across everyone's faces. They realized the grim reality of the situation they were in.
At this mont, the Tian Jian Tribe's patriarch snorted:
"Hmph, what will even change if we escape? The criminal Lin Feng will just target us one by one and kill us."
Ashen shook his head, explaining:
"No, that won't happen. The emperor took him lightly, and when I asked for the empire's forces to back up to take care of Lin Feng. He replied that it wasn't necessary for a single emperor realm criminal."
He then smiled victoriously:
"However, after the news of our defeat reaches his ears, he will have no option but to send the most powerful imperial enforcers to take care of Lin Feng."
Hearing his suggestion, the elders of the Eastern Sovereign Hall were satisfied and convinced; however, the sect master and the tribal heads were different.
The sect master bowed and showed his disagreent:
"Forgive for being blunt, your highness. But I think that would take too long. Lin Feng would co after my Eastern Sovereign Hall first, and I'm sure he would have no problem slaughtering us then. Afterwards, he can just escape the empire and return to his ho, the Mother Phoenix empire. It would be too late to wait for the Emperor's response."
The Blood Demon Lord also agreed in a hurried voice. His daughter's life was at stake.
"I agree. Your Highness, We only ca to ask for your help because of the ti the empire will take to take action against the criminal, Lin Feng. If you too were to delegate the responsibility to the emperor, then how will you be any different from the first prince?"
Hearing their response, Ashen remained silent for a while, a grim expression remaining on his exotically handso face.
However, internally, he was smiling or even laughing like a madman.
He was satisfied. It was exactly what he desired, what he planned for.
His sches were finally moving to fruition.
He eyed the sect master of the Eastern Sovereign Hall and said:
"Lord Ye Ming had escaped and gone into hiding like a coward. He has abandoned the battlefield and left Qin Feng and all of you to die."
Hearing that, the Sect Master's eyes widened in surprise as he looked around, noticing Ye Ming's absence.
He had been too busy pouring his core qi into the array to take notice of Ye Ming's absence.
With an embarrassed expression, he apologized:
"I didn't know that Ye Ming would act in this manner. I'm ashad."
At this mont, the Blood Demon Lord, who was panicking due to the urgency of the situation, spoke up.
Qin Feng's life was in danger, so he couldn't stay silent.
"Your Highness, how does that matter in this situation? We need to think of a solution."
For the Blood Demon Lord, retrieving the treasure and ensuring Qin Feng's life took priority. He couldn't care less about soone like Ye Ming.
Ashen, however, thought differently as he shook his head:
"No, Lord Blood Demon. This is certainly of importance."
He took out a communication sphere from his space ring and showed it to them.
"This is the communication sphere that lets talk to my grandfather. If anyone can take care of this situation in the shortest ti, it would be him."
The sect master's and everyone's eyes widened upon hearing him ntion his grandfather.
Anyone who knew Ashen would know who his grandfather was.
"B-By Grandfather, D-Do you an..." The sect master asked, stamring due to the sheer reverence in his voice.
It was as if a child was talking about his favourite superhero.
Even though that analogy wouldn't fit due to the sect master being older than Ashen's grandfather, that didn't matter when it ca to his reputation.
The older folks respected him more due to having witnessed his exploits firsthand.
The legends about him were normal truths to them.
And that made him even more of a legend.
As to answer the sect master's question, Ashen simply nodded.
Getting his confirmation, the sect master gulped, the others mirroring his reaction.
Wide smiles spread across their faces as they felt all their worries disappear.
If that person were to co to their rescue, there would be no one who would be able to threaten their life.
Even the Blood Demon Lord felt relieved, almost sure that he would get his treasure back.
And as for the question of whether he would co to their rescue or not, that was obvious.
His beloved and talented grandson was trapped here; any grandfather would rush to their rescue.
However, as if reminding them of their reality, Ashen's voice entered their ears:
"But... there is one problem."
A frown appeared on their faces as soon as they heard that.
"What is that, your highness?" The sect master asked politely.
"It is ti." Ashen answered. "It would take him at least fifteen minutes to teleport to the nearest teleportation formation and then reach this place."
As this reality settled in their hearts, the excited expressions of the emperor realm cultivators vanished, replaced by frowns.
"Fifteen minutes..." The sect master mumbled under his breath, asuring the possibility of them surviving until then.
From any angle he calculated, the possibility of them surviving for fifteen minutes was zero.
Lin Feng could finish healing at any ti, and once he did, there would be no stopping him, at atleast not with their current strength.
At this mont, Ashen reminded:
"For that reason, we need Ye Ming!"
"Huh?"
The Blood Demon Lord asked confusedly:
"How would that coward change anything?"
The blood demon lord already hated the bastard.
He had escaped for his life, leaving Qin Feng alone to fend for himself.
Moreover, he even abandoned everyone, including the Eastern Sovereign Hall.
In his eyes, Ye Ming was nothing but a selfish bastard.
