Ashen announced with a determined voice and a fearless expression.

He was pondering over the suggestion. This suggestion had both pros and cons and as the clan head, it was his responsibility to choose the best for the clan.
If he were to follow Ashen's suggestion, the clan would attract animosity from the Ni clan, the clan of the old man who was the first elder of the clan. His na was Ni Shim and he was one of the only three emperor realm experts of the Ni Clan.
If they were to execute him in front of everyone, that would clearly make the Shang clan the enemy of the Ni clan. However, the reason was justified and of course, the Shang clan was much more powerful than the Ni clan.

On the other hand, Ni Shim was in despair as he went to the princess to ask her for help.
"Princess Lianhua, do sothing! If this goes like this, I'll be executed for this small cri."
The princess, wearing a nervous and concerned expression, replied: "What am I supposed to do when even the dragon emperor warned not to interfere? Don't you know his influence?"
"B-But Princess, I only followed your orders. You can't let die like this!"
The princess nodded: "You are correct. I can't afford to lose you here, but what am I supposed to do? I don't see a way out. In 5 hours they'd announce your execution and if you are lucky, you'll only lose your limbs."
"Then we must do sothing before that!" Ni Shim suggested: "I have an idea. Why don't you make Ashen take back his complaint? If he takes back the complaint, the trial will be annulled."
Hearing the suggestion, the shine in the princess's eyes returned as she praised: "Excellent. It seems the fear of execution lets you think more clearly. But how can we make him take his complaint back? Didn't you notice, he is not the sa naive Ashen anymore. Sothing has changed about him."

With a determined expression, she assured Ni Shim: "Don't worry, I'll make him take back his complaint and annul this trial."
"Thank you, my Princess. This servant will always be loyal to you!" Ni Shim said with a bow.
After nodding to Ni Shim, She left for Ashen's room. She'll need to talk to Ashen alone and convince him to take back his complaint and forgive Ni Shim.
Ashen, on the other hand, waited patiently for her to arrive. He had already expected this to happen. The only reason he wanted execution as a punishnt for Ni Shim was to make the princess co to his room alone and ask for his help.
*Knock* *Knock*
Ashen heard the knocking sound on his door. He stood up and opened the door with a smile. And sure enough, the princess was standing there with the woman in the dark clothes.
"Yes? How may I help the great 8th princess?" Ashen asked with a smile and in an exaggerated respectful tone as if mocking her for what she said earlier in the trial. He didn't want to be disciplined again just because she found his tone disrespectful.
"Let co inside first!" She said calmly.
"Only you can co inside, Leave your guard out of my room!" Ashen instructed.
The princess nodded in understanding before entering his room.
Ashen locked the door from inside to have so alone ti with his beloved sister.
The room was befitting the young lord of the Shang Clan. It was huge with walls decorated with intricate designs. A couch set in the center of the room and a massive bed is placed in the upper middle point of the room. There were luxurious items used as decorations to lighten up the place and for illumination, lanterns were used.
"I see you've locked the door," The princess said, her voice husky with a hint of amusent, as she sauntered closer to Ashen, her high heels clicking on the cold stone floor. "Afraid soone might interrupt our little chat?"
