Chapter 597 – Xie Qingtian's Warning, Rich Man Miaomiao
Miaomiao, Sun Bin, and Xie Qingtian reached the peak's grand hall. Everyone entered Sun Bin's office.
Finally, they were alone.
Sun Bin grumbled while he facepald, "You're a headache, Mao Miaomiao."
Miaomiao wryly smiled and bowed to apologize, "I'm sorry."
"That ability of yours will co back to haunt you one day. Do you know that many immortals and deities are cravings for the Ti-Space Dao or related power? They will jump you as soon as they realize that you can use it."
"I'm more amazed that you knew it was , though."
Sun Bin sat cross-legged on his cushion and rested his chin on his palm, "I would have been a fool had I never figured that out! I heard about your deeds from Sun Wu. Obviously, I know about your abilities."
"That's nice of you."
Sun Bin adjusted his posture. He straightened his back and sighed, "Anyway. That's not why I want you here. Well, Grand Elder Xie. He's yours."
Xie Qingtian nodded at the elder. He sized up Miaomiao.
"I heard that you killed my son."
Miaomiao feigned ignorance. He tilted his head to the side, "Didn't he just save you?"
Although this was his first ti that Miaomiao had t Xie Qingtian face-to-face, he rembered the latter as he saw Xie Qingtian in the other tilines.
Xie Qingtian also didn't bother introducing himself. He chatted as if he knew Miaomiao for a long ti, "That [Xie Tian] who saved was a stranger from another tiline."
"Well, things are complicated."
"You bet it's complicated."
Xie Qingtian and Miaomiao stopped speaking. The latter awkwardly waited for the forr to start, but Xie Qingtian continued to inspect Miaomiao's appearance, cultivation base, and treasures.
"Umm," Miaomiao had a bad feeling about this.
"I also heard that you wanted to make your Dao Sentinel."
Miaomiao sweated profusely. He reluctantly nodded, "That's true."
"Let ask you honestly. Are you an idiot, or are you insane?"
"Maybe both?"
"Ha! I believe you. No sane person would have asked to be their Dao Sentinel! But do you really think that I will accept your invitation?"
"You won't?"
"Obviously, why should I submit to a fucking mortal, let alone the murderer of my child?! Fuck, looking at you ruins my mood."
"And why are you looking at ? Why are you looking for by the way?"
"You…"
Miaomiao's carefree attitude annoyed Xie Qingtian, but he wasn't mad. After all, he was testing this perverted guy.
As Xie Qingtian was tired of testing Miaomiao's character, he got to the point.
"Currently, I'm serving Lady Nüwa as her Knight Piece. I can't possibly serve two masters. I also have quite a high standard. I won't work under a mortal."
"Even though I pretty much saved your life?"
"It was my son's counterpart that saved , not you."
"But Xie Tian is my Dao Sentinel. His achievent is my achievent."
"He is he, you are you."
"Fine," Miaomiao sighed. It seed that convincing Xie Qingtian to work for him would be troubleso. "Is that all you want to say to ?"
Xie Qingtian grinned, "No."
"What do you want, then?"
"Be my disciple and work for Lady Nüwa and Heavenly Dao!"
"I refuse."
The corner of Xie Qingtian's mouth twitched. Miaomiao replied too fast.
Miaomiao raised his brows, "Is that all you want to say to ?"
"No," Xie Qingtian coughed. "First off, do you know anything about the Grand Chess?"
"Well, no."
"Okay," Xie Qingtian was relieved. At least he had sothing to brag about.
He turned to Sun Bin, who had been eavesdropping on their conversation. Xie Xingtian gestured with his eyes, telling him to leave.
anwhile, the entire conversation shocked Sun Bin. He stared at Miaomiao and Xie Qingtian in disbelief, but he kept his mouth shut.
"P-Please excuse ."
Sun Bin left the room in a hurry as he was afraid of Xie Qingtian.
As soon as Xie Qingtian and Miaomiao were alone, the forr revealed the secrets of the sages, which related to the Grand Chess.
Grand Chess was a competition for territory and supremacy between sages. As all sages, including monster sages, served the Heavenly Dao, they could not harm or kill each other. Because they were unable to harm each other, many conflicts between sages escalated and they were fed up with the Heavenly Dao's restrictions.
Heavenly Dao listened to their troubles, so it created a lower dinsion under the Zenith Heaven Realm for them to play. All living creatures of various races, immortals, and deities were their ga tools to be used. All sages got to pick one person from this dinsion as their ga piece.
However, the sages were greedy. They made a new ga of their own to solve personal conflicts and grudges.
They called it the Grand Chess. A sage could pick eight representatives from the lower dinsion as their main chess pieces while the chess pieces could designate as many pawns as they wanted to. Then, the sages could relay their orders to their king pieces.
Miaomiao had heard sothing similar before, and he had so doubts.
"How did you know this? Did Adam tell you?"
Xie Qingtian grinned, "I've recovered the mory of my counterparts from the destroyed dinsions. Well, yeah. Lord Adam told about the sages. After all, it relates to this ga and the next ga."
"What else did he tell you?" Now, Miaomiao was curious.
"Heavenly Dao has already voided this ga. There won't be a conclusion to the Grand Chess, but it will serve as a preparation for the next ga."
Xie Qingtian finally revealed the content of the next ga. He spoke for three hours, revealing everything to Miaomiao.
Miaomiao stared at Xie Qingtian in a daze. He heard sothing incredible and horrifying.
…
Hours later.
In the end, Xie Qingtian refused to be Miaomiao's Dao Sentinel. He said that he needed to go sowhere else, and he wouldn't be here for a few years.
Both n parted ways. Miaomiao left the grand hall and found Sun Bin, who had been waiting for him for hours.
"Are you done?"
Miaomiao nodded, "Yes, elder."
"Good," Sun Bin passed Miaomiao a paper scroll. "This is the detail of the upcoming sect's annual promotion exam. You will need to enter it to defend your status. After you successfully prove that no candidate can defeat you, you can apply for the outer disciple exam. But bear in mind, you will have to fight several outer disciples to pass this test."
Miaomiao's expression turned dark, "Do I have to take the exam?"
"Yes. If you don't, Grand Elder Mu will probably kick you out of the sect or impose an impossible mission on you. You don't want to be sent out to the Dark Forbidden Zone alone, do you?"
"… I understand."
Miaomiao was still unable to digest the heavy information regarding the next ga, aka Pangu Online 2. And now, he got another headache.
Why didn't everybody leave him alone?
What could he do to gain the freedom he needed?
There was only one solution. Miaomiao simply needed to be invincible to the point that no sage could order him around!
Slaughter all enemies-Ho!
Ravish all peerless beauties-Ho!
Conquer all dinsions-Ho!
Enslave all allies-Ho!
Protagonist-Ho!
He psyched himself and flew from the peak, heading toward the Cherry Boy City.
But then, he rembered that he had just moved house. He couldn't travel to the demon king's castle in the desert.
'Crap.'
As Miaomiao needed to go back there to peacefully cultivate, he visited Sun Bin and requested him to bring him to the location.
Fortunately, Sun Bin was kind. He ordered a deacon to escort Miaomiao to the demon king's castle.
…
Miaomiao safely returned to the demon king's castle, and the deacon left.
As ti was money, Miaomiao rushed to his room, planning to consolidate his cultivation base and tackle the next hurdle – Improving all moons in his dantian into proper planets!
He ignored Xie Fan, Tugu, and Ta Dun, who had co to welco him back. He slamd the door shut and locked it.
But as Miaomiao was about to sit on the bed and concentrate on cultivating, Dion gave him a system prompt.
Ding
Miaomiao clicked his tongue, "No."
"On a second thought, let see the task!"
Heavenly rit was necessary for Miaomiao now. Every rit was equal to a free planet, so he could not overlook this opportunity.
