Chapter 292

“This era belongs to Jiang Chen alone,” Huang Qingtian mused. “For most others, there is no chance. Still, I feel a strange sense of anticipation, wondering if he can truly reach the pinnacle and step into the Immortal Domain.”

Under normal circumstances, Huang Qingtian knew he should retreat and bide his ti until this era passed. Yet, despite Jiang Chen’s overwhelming dominance, he decided to remain in the present.

He wanted to fight for a chance and witness how far Jiang Chen could go. Could Jiang Chen shatter all records and ascend to beco a true immortal?

“Perhaps it won’t be a one-man era,” Huang Tian countered. “With the Immortal Road about to open and the forbidden zones stirring, Jiang Chen may not sweep through everything unchallenged. His revealed identity has made him the target of countless ancient emperor’s.”

“The Ye Clan’s Great Emperor, the True Dragon Emperor, and other emperors lurking in the forbidden zones won’t sit idly by when they hear whispers of the Upper Realms. Jiang Chen’s path to becoming an Emperor will be riddled with obstacles beyond imagination.”

Huang Tian believed this era was unique. The opening of the Immortal Road, coupled with Jiang Chen’s exposed background, ant that his journey to the Emperor Realm would be extraordinarily difficult.

It could very well be the hardest road in history, particularly with so many ancient emperor’s awakening. Even the Primordial Holy Land would face imnse pressure.

Huang Tian speculated that Jiang Chen might not survive this trial. If the Holy Son of the Primordial Holy Land fell, the path to seize the Heavenly Heart Imprint would open for others, creating an opportunity to ascend to the Emperor Realm.

While this was just Huang Tian’s conjecture, Huang Qingtian listened thoughtfully and found rit in his father’s reasoning. Perhaps this era wasn’t as hopeless as it seed.

Still, Huang Qingtian’s inner emotions remained steady, far more resilient than most. Even the prospect of heaven and earth collapsing wasn’t enough to unsettle him.

After the battle, Jiang Chen and his companions returned to Banished Immortal Peak.

“Finally, I can relax!” Jiang Chen exclaid, sprawling onto his chair with a look of contentnt. His face radiated comfort as he basked in the peace.

Nearby, Dongfang Mingyue, the third ancestor, Mu Jianxue, and Yan Ruyu bore expressions of worry. Although they had erged victorious, the aftermath of the battle lood large, including Jiang Chen’s revealed identity and his conversation with the Lord of God’s Abandonnt.

“Chen’er, are you truly from the Upper Realms, as the Lord of God’s Abandonnt suggested?” Dongfang Mingyue asked softly, her voice tinged with lingering shock. The rightful source is noⅴelfire

She still hadn’t fully processed the implications of Jiang Chen’s discussion with the Lord of God’s Abandonnt.

Having watched Jiang Chen grow up, Dongfang Mingyue had never suspected he might have origins beyond the Nine Heavens Realm.

The others, including the third ancestor, Mu Jianxue, and Yan Ruyu, looked on with curiosity. Yan Ruyu seed less surprised than the others; she had always been privy to certain secrets, so the revelation didn’t completely shock her.

“Of course not!” Jiang Chen adjusted himself into a more comfortable position, a smile playing on his lips. “If I were truly from the Upper Realms, those ancient sovereigns would have discovered long ago. There’s no way I could have survived until now.”

He continued, “To descend from the Upper Realms, the passage between the two realms must be opened. If that were to happen, do you think those ancient emperor’s wouldn’t notice?”

“Their lifelong obsession is entering the Immortal Domain and pursuing the path to immortality. If the passage opened, the changes in the heavens and earth would imdiately alert them.”

Jiang Chen paused briefly, then explained, “The reason I know about these things is simply because I’ve glimpsed fragnts of the future.”

“Master, you know that by comprehending the Great Dao of Ti and Space, one can access the River of Ti and witness fleeting glimpses of what is to co. In the vast, surging river, occasional ripples may reveal snippets of the future.”

He added, “As a Great Accomplishnt Primordial Body, I’m naturally attuned to all Daos, making it possible for to see such visions. That’s how I learned about the Lord of God’s Abandonnt and the Sky-Slaughter Diagram.”

Jiang Chen had long prepared for questions about his identity. While he couldn’t reveal his true origins as a transmigrator, he avoided posing as a reincarnator to prevent unnecessary complications.

Instead, he crafted a plausible explanation rooted in the lore of the Nine Heavens Realm, framing himself as soone who had glimpsed the future through mastery of the Great Dao of Ti and Space.

His explanation struck a chord with everyone. The notion of peering into the future through the River of Ti was rare but not unheard of in the Nine Heavens Realm.

Though glimpsing the future ca with great risks and often revealed uncertain or shifting outcos, it was far more believable than the idea of descending from the Immortal Domain.

“That explains why, in the past, you instructed us to ally with the Great Qin Dynasty and Huang Tian to enter the Ancient Desolate Demon Domain,” Mu Jianxue remarked, her flawless face showing a rare flicker of understanding.

Her luminous eyes fell on Jiang Chen, filled with newfound clarity.

“When you said you had learned about the Demon Domain’s plans, we didn’t fully understand how. Now it all makes sense. You had glimpsed the future.”

Dongfang Mingyue spoke next, her tone tinged with curiosity. “In the original tiline, without your interference, what would have happened to us? Was it terrible?”

Jiang Chen gave her a wry look and sighed. “Master, if you were destined for victory, why would I have urged you to form alliances? In the original future, both you and Senior Mu Jiancue perished, and the Ancient Desolate Demon Domain achieved a resounding victory.”

“Using a few traitors, they eventually seized control of the Primordial Holy Land. That was the future.”

Hearing this, everyone shuddered, their scalps tingling with unease. Without Jiang Chen’s intervention, the Primordial Holy Land would have been dood.

Worse still, without its protection, Jiang Chen himself would have been a pri target for the Demon Domain, given his unparalleled talent.

The group couldn’t help but feel a lingering sense of dread. Jiang Chen’s ability to glimpse the future had not only saved the Primordial Holy Land but also ensured its current prominence. Without him, the sect’s fate would have been sealed.

Jiang Chen’s thoughts wandered briefly. In the original story, the Primordial Holy Land didn’t et a completely tragic end, as it was the faction tied to the protagonist, Du Guyun.

While it was overrun and declined during the mid-story, Du Guyun’s eventual rise restored its forr glory. However, the fate of the original Holy Land’s mbers bore little resemblance to the thriving state it enjoyed now.

“With the Ye Clan’s destruction, the heavens and earth tremble once more,” Jiang Chen thought, his gaze deep. “The opening of the Immortal Road will likely be pushed forward.”

He contemplated this, his heart growing resolute. “Still, before the Immortal Road opens, the Nine Heavens Realm has entered a rare period of calm. This is the perfect opportunity for to focus on cultivating in peace.”

A spark of excitent flickered in his eyes. “And it’s the perfect chance to claim the Eternal Emperor’s Legacy.”

Jiang Chen had obtained the Eternal Token from his dealings with the Heavenly Fox Clan but hadn’t yet sought out the legacy. Now that peace had returned to the realm, he could finally focus on this long-overdue task.

For the first ti in a long while, the Nine Heavens Realm fell into a brief and tranquil silence. It was a mont of reprieve that Jiang Chen intended to seize fully.
