"In that case..."

Wang Jian stood his ground, a smile spreading across his face as he let Xu Qian off the hook. He didn’t press her further, instead asking directly, "Were you there last night, too?"

"Ah?" Xu Qian’s face, already flushed, turned an even deeper shade of red. "Did Liping tell you?"

"Does it matter who told ?" Wang Jian rolled his eyes. "What’s important now is that you answer my question."

Seeing there was no way to dodge the topic, Xu Qian untied her apron and led Wang Jian back into the building. After he had gone inside, she peeked out, looking left and right to make sure no one was coming before she closed the door.

When she turned around, she found Wang Jian already sitting in the living room, waiting for her with a smirk.

"You were drunk anyway. Is knowing what happened last night really that important?" Xu Qian couldn’t understand why Wang Jian was being so insistent about this.

Are all n like this? She had been confused by this sort of thing before. Even when she was with Wang Xiang, she often found herself puzzled by the sa question. n and won truly think differently...

As expected, Wang Jian simply nodded and said, "Yes, it’s that important. I have to get this cleared up."

"Fine." Seeing his determination, Xu Qian abandoned any idea of hiding the truth and said bluntly, "Yes, I went to your room last night. So what? I was drunk... and let tell you, don’t even think about a next ti."

Going to see Wang Jian one-on-one was sothing Xu Qian had no qualms about, but the idea of the three of them together was sothing she found sowhat unacceptable. Just thinking about the scenes from last night made her flush with embarrassnt, let alone having to talk about it in front of Wang Jian. Before she could finish, Wang Jian’s face was already brimming with a smile. She had to nip this terrible notion of the three of them together in the bud. Although she had never considered a long-term relationship with Wang Jian, she knew her own nature; if he harbored such thoughts and tried to include her, she wasn’t sure she would refuse. To prevent it from happening again, she had to make things clear to him in advance.

Having heard the answer he wanted, Wang Jian naturally wasn’t going to let her off so easily. "What else happened?"

Seeing that he wanted more details, Xu Qian gave him a huge eye-roll. It was a good thing Chairman Kang was still at the clinic; right now, it was just the two of them in the entire house. Even so, her heart wouldn’t calm down.

"Can we just let this go?" Xu Qian cleared her throat and looked at Wang Jian pleadingly. "I’ll only tell you the details if you promise this is the end of it."

She grabbed his arm, shaking it back and forth. "Please?" she wheedled. "I’m begging you."

Wang Jian swallowed hard and agreed without hesitation. It wasn’t that he was easily conquered; anyone would have reacted the sa. When a usually composed sister-in-law suddenly acts coy, who could possibly resist?

"Alright, as you wish," Wang Jian said, starting to grin foolishly. In truth, he didn’t mind even if she didn’t want to go into detail right now.

She pulled him down to sit, then began to speak in a hushed voice, controlling her volu and occasionally glancing toward the door, obviously worried that Chairman Kang might return unexpectedly.

"Last night... well, I don’t really know how it started..." Xu Qian’s face reddened as she recalled the mory. "You know I drank quite a lot. I had gone back to my room, but when I vaguely woke up, I felt like sothing was missing. I wasn’t thinking clearly and just wanted to get back to sleep, so I sohow ended up walking into your room."

Wang Jian nodded as he listened, playing along to ease her embarrassnt.

"I didn’t even notice Liping was there. I just lay down beside her and fell asleep. The next ti I woke up, I’d already been shanghaied by you two."

Wang Jian chuckled. "Sister-in-law, let ask you sothing..."

"Don’t..." Xu Qian knew he wouldn’t ask anything appropriate and quickly tried to stop him, but he said it anyway. "Was it good for you last night?"

Goodness, how was she supposed to answer that?

Xu Qian’s entire face turned bright red; she could feel her cheeks burning hot enough to fry an egg.

Was it good? Of course, it was good... Doing that kind of thing is always pleasurable. It has nothing to do with how many people are involved; the act itself is just inherently pleasurable. But she knew Wang Jian was asking about the threeso, not just the act itself.

She could only whisper, "This isn’t a matter of whether it was good or not. If I hadn’t been drinking, I absolutely would not have done sothing so absurd with you two." She even added, "Compared to that, I prefer doing it with just you."

After she spoke, she t Wang Jian’s burning gaze and tried to stand up to beg for rcy, planning to make a run for it. But Wang Jian wasn’t about to let her leave so easily. He reached out and pulled her back, and she tumbled right into his lap.

"Where do you think you’re going?" Wang Jian’s voice whispered by her ear, sending a tingling, ticklish sensation through her that erased any thought of resistance. It was only then that she noticed his wandering hands, which was more than she could bear. "Don’t ss around! Chairman Kang could be back any minute."

She deliberately glanced at the clock on the wall. The ti it showed was near when they usually finished work, so she was terrified soone might suddenly walk through the door. Wang Jian had co back in such a hurry that neither the courtyard gate nor the front door was closed. Anyone returning would have an unobstructed path right inside to discover their situation.

This could turn into a huge ss...

Her mind clearing a little, Xu Qian squird and said, "Xiao Jian, let go, look at the ti!"

The ti?

Wang Jian glanced at the clock and knew they couldn’t do anything serious. Chairman Kang would be back in ten minutes at most, which was definitely not enough ti. Based on their past encounters, even a quickie would take at least half an hour.

But Wang Jian had no intention of letting go just yet. On the contrary, his movents grew even more intense.

"MMPH..."

There were other ways to play with fire, and just letting his sister-in-law go like this would be far too boring. A sowhat arrogant smirk curled Wang Jian’s lips. The expression on Xu Qian’s face was a cocktail of emotions: three parts anxiety, two parts hesitation, and five parts intoxicated bliss. This state—clearly terrified and conflicted, wanting to flee yet simultaneously enjoying herself—gave Wang Jian a unique sense of satisfaction.

So he didn’t loosen his grip in the slightest, though he paid extra attention to any sounds from the courtyard. With his abilities, hearing Chairman Kang’s approaching footsteps would be easy.

Emboldened by this confidence, Wang Jian let his guard down, nearly causing a disaster for them both.

For so reason, today of all days, Chairman Kang decided to run ho. His pace was exceptionally fast. By the ti he sprinted into the courtyard, Wang Jian had just registered the sound. Xu Qian’s bliss was already at a seven out of ten, and by the ti Wang Jian reacted, Chairman Kang had already burst in. Wang Jian had barely managed to pull his hand away.

In that split second, Wang Jian’s heart nearly leaped out of his chest, and his back broke out in a cold sweat. But the adrenaline rush was intoxicating. He noticed Xu Qian’s face had gone pale and couldn’t help but think that this kind of thrill-seeking wasn’t for everyone.

Luckily, Chairman Kang didn’t even look at them. Muttering, "Bathroom, bathroom," he ran straight for the restroom.

Wang Jian and Xu Qian watched, dumbfounded, as Chairman Kang rushed in and out of the living room. It took a while for Xu Qian to co to her senses. With trembling legs, she slid from Wang Jian’s lap into the empty seat beside him.

"This is all your fault!" she complained, her hand patting her chest, still badly shaken. "Chairman Kang must have seen us. What are we going to do?"

Even after venting, a wave of fear washed over her. That experience was more heart-pounding than any roller coaster she had ridden with Wang Xiang back in her days as a migrant worker.

After the thrill subsided, Xu Qian sort of understood why so people specifically sought out such experiences. While she didn’t yearn for such perverse behavior, she had to admit that the feeling after such a thrill was every bit as potent as the climax of a normal session. Still, if he asked her to do it again, she would absolutely refuse. For no other reason than that her poor heart couldn’t take it; she was afraid she’d die of shock before she could even enjoy it.

Wang Jian glanced around, his composure restored. He replayed the mont Chairman Kang had entered and then said, "Don’t worry, I bet he didn’t see a thing. He was in such a hurry for the bathroom, he probably nearly soiled himself. He wouldn’t have had ti to notice anything else. I’m sure his eyes were locked on the bathroom, not us."

Seeing that she was still tense, he added, "And even if he did glimpse sothing, he wouldn’t be sure. When he cos out and sees us sitting here properly, he won’t think twice about it."

It was simple psychology he had learned from Cai Qiong, and he was putting it to good use.

"Really?" Xu Qian was skeptical, but seeing his confident expression, she couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief. "I hope you’re right."

As she spoke, she deliberately edged a little farther away from him, looking like a little lamb that had just encountered a predator. But as she did, she glanced down and saw his fingers, where a glistening moisture still lingered...

She cursed inwardly, then pulled two tissues from the coffee table and quickly wiped his hand. Too embarrassed to et his eyes again, she hastily tidied herself up and fled back to the kitchen to cook.

"Heh heh heh."

Watching her retreating back, Wang Jian just snickered to himself.
