Is being single scary? As long as you don’t think about it, it has no effect whatsoever.
But Han Youzhen now found herself in a state where she desperately needed a partner. The thought beca especially clear when she finally shivered, her body arching uncontrollably.
However, after entering Sage mode, she cald down. Feeling that the movents below hadn’t stopped, she could only curse silently before succumbing to exhaustion and falling asleep.
What Han Youzhen didn’t expect was that not long after she drifted off, Ren Yu also passed out from sheer exhaustion.
Fearing they would be discovered, Wang Jian took advantage of their deep sleep. He gently carried Ren Yu back to her bunk and even helped her get dressed.
Only after doing all this did Wang Jian return to his own bed. Otherwise, he couldn’t guarantee that Xiao Yu wouldn’t sneak over again in the middle of the night.
But Wang Jian had clearly overestimated Ren Yu’s stamina. After her release, she plunged straight into a deep sleep from which she was unlikely to wake that night, completely and utterly satisfied.
She’s this satisfied without even entering? I worry she won’t be able to handle it later on.
After lying back down, Wang Jian ntally recited Taoist scriptures for a long ti before he slowly drifted off.
The night passed quickly, and everyone in the compartnt slept soundly. During stops at interdiate stations, the sound of people getting off the train was quite a racket. The dragging of suitcases, the chatter of n and won, and especially the shouting of unruly children filled the air. Yet, none of it disturbed the four people in Wang Jian and Ren Yu’s compartnt.
Early the next day, as the train began to slow, it was already entering the vicinity of Capital City.
Wang Jian and Ren Yu had already packed their things and were pulling their suitcases toward the carriage door. Just as they were preparing to get off, a figure suddenly popped up beside them. Trailing a waft of perfu, she forcefully cut in line and rushed past them.
That wasn’t all. For so inexplicable reason, the woman turned her head toward Wang Jian. With an expression mixing conflict and indignation, she spat out a single word: "Pervert."
"???"
Wang Jian was stunned. He watched her receding figure, which seed vaguely familiar, but mostly he was just bewildered.
This person must be crazy, cursing at for no reason.
Especially after her accusation, Wang Jian could distinctly feel the way people nearby were looking at him had changed. Ren Yu had been clinging to him ever since she woke up and was holding his arm at that very mont. With Ren Yu’s stunning looks, she naturally turned many heads. Now that another beautiful woman had called him a pervert, the hostility directed at him only intensified. So people were even smirking.
If the train attendant hadn’t been urging him to get off, he might have spent more ti trying to figure out when he could have possibly offended this person. Wang Jian didn’t think too much of it, though. She was just a passerby, after all.
After getting off the train with Ren Yu, Wang Jian muttered, "Who was that? Do you know her?"
"I don’t know her either," Ren Yu giggled. "She was cursing at you, so why are you asking ?"
"No..." Wang Jian gave a wry smile. "How would I know... her... ah, wait a minute..." He suddenly rembered who she was.
Ren Yu, who was still holding his arm with her gaze fixed on his face, asked curiously, "What is it? Do you actually know her?"
"No, no, no, that person..." Wang Jian explained, "That woman was the one in the bunk above ."
"Huh?" Ren Yu paused, perplexed. She thought about it for a mont; she had been so focused on Wang Jian that she really hadn’t paid any attention to the other passengers in their compartnt.
"So, the reason she called a pervert..." Wang Jian sighed and smiled at Ren Yu. "You have a pretty good idea why, don’t you?"
Ren Yu’s face turned red as she realized what he ant. It seed her wild abandon last night had been overheard. This ant the woman had cursed Wang Jian purely because of her.
However, this was sothing Ren Yu would never admit.
Seeing her reaction, Wang Jian just smiled. If Ren Yu wanted to play dumb, what could he do? No one who saw Ren Yu during the day could ever imagine what she was like at night.
So I have no choice but to suffer in silence... I can’t just drag that woman back and tell her I was the passive one, can I? That would be ridiculous.
The two didn’t stay at the station for long, taking the subway straight to Kyoto dical University.
Kyoto dical University was located within the southern third ring, very close to the train station. It was only a few subway stops away, but while on the train, Wang Jian kept feeling like soone was watching him. Yet, whenever he looked in the direction of the feeling, all he saw was a sea of heads.
Of course, he couldn’t have known that Han Youzhen was hiding in the crowd, secretly watching him and Ren Yu. Only when they got off at the university station did Han Youzhen finally look away.
Wang Jian and Ren Yu had returned at a relatively good ti. The first-year students had already arrived, so our pair avoided the peak rush of returning students. Even so, with the school year just starting, the campus was still bustling with people.
As he walked through the school with Ren Yu, Wang Jian clearly felt people pointing and whispering about them. This was completely different from his own ti in school. Back then, he was either in class or following his master to learn dicine, never participating in any school clubs. If it weren’t for his decent looks, he would have been pretty much invisible all those years. But now, it seed Ren Yu was a completely different story.
Wang Jian couldn’t help but glance at Ren Yu in surprise. "Xiao Yu, did you do sothing outrageous at school? I feel like everyone knows you."
"Hey now..." Ren Yu rolled her eyes. "What do you an, ’outrageous’? Is that really the image you have of ?"
"Isn’t it?" Wang Jian laughed. "You’re only well-behaved in front of adults. When you’re with , you’re always so mischievous. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if you really did do sothing to anger both gods and n at school."
Hearing this, Ren Yu found herself unable to retort and simply muttered, "I’m just quite famous here, that’s all."
"..."
Wang Jian laughed. He was just joking, playfully teasing her. He wasn’t foolish; given Ren Yu’s looks, it was only natural she’d be well-known at school. Moreover, with his keen hearing, he had already picked up on what those whispering people were saying.
So of them knew Ren Yu, while others didn’t. Those who recognized her were curious about when she had started dating, and they were also curious about his identity. Those who didn’t know her were simply admiring a beautiful girl.
As Wang Jian and Ren Yu joked around, they saw soone waiting for them up ahead. As they drew closer, Wang Jian was the first to spot the figure.
Finally, a familiar face.
Wang Jian tapped Ren Yu, gesturing for her to look ahead. "Look, Chairman Kang is here."
That guy... The mont she saw Chairman Kang, Ren Yu knew her guess was right. One of her roommates must have leaked the news of her return.
In response, Ren Yu could only sigh silently and explain to Wang Jian, "I swear I didn’t tell him I was coming back to school. I have no idea why he’s here." She was clearly worried Wang Jian would get the wrong idea.
