🥲Sorry guys last 3 days I have so work 🥲
"But isn't this thod of disease containnt a bit too... aggressive? Just blowing up every ship that tries to leave?!"
"It's literal physical isolation. No ships, no spread—problem solved!"
"If the disease can't be cured, just eliminate the infected. Technically… they're not wrong."
"Yeah, the logic makes sense, but damn… this is brutal!"
The chat exploded with reactions. The aliens' quarantine strategy was both terrifying and ruthlessly effective.
anwhile, Zoe decided to scan herself using the wristband:
Ding!
Self-scan complete.
Bacterial infection worsening. Skin abnormalities and immune system reactions detected. Additional data required for strain identification.
"Oh no… it's getting worse!!" Zoe shouted, imdiately asking, "Chang'e, when am I gonna die? Do I get a countdown tir?"
Chang'e responded calmly: "Based on the current infection rate, you have approximately 2,400 hours remaining."
"Wait… 2,400 hours? That's 100 real-ti days?!" Zoe sighed in relief. "Phew! That's plenty of ti. I can ss around for a while before worrying!"
It seed like Xiao Che (aka the Old Thief) was at least kind enough to give players ti to prepare before their inevitable demise.
Unlocking Alien Data
Zoe continued exploring the massive alien hall. Soon, she discovered a boxy tal terminal with strange markings on it.
She scanned it with her wristband:
Ding!
Alien Data Terminal Detected.
Data download and analysis available. Proceed?
"Alien data? Hell yeah, download that!" Zoe quickly agreed.
Downloading... Analysis in progress.
Ding!
The builders of this facility refer to themselves as "The Precursors."
This data contains records of their research on "Kara Disease."
"Kara Disease?" Zoe frowned. "That must be the na of this planet's infection. Alright, let's see what it says."
A holographic text file projected in front of her:
Kara Disease Archives
Origin:
Discovered during a large-scale war between The Precursors and the Zerg.
Believed to have originated from the Zerg species.
Outbreak:
Rapid spread from military frontlines to The Precursors' howorld.
78 billion infected.
Infection chanism:
The disease deactivates the immune system, leading to fatal organ failure.
Precautionary asures:
The Precursors established a disease research facility on Planet 4546B to study potential cures.
After reading this, the chat exploded with reactions:
"78 billion infected?! What kind of massacre is this?!"
"No wonder the Precursors freaked out and started nuking anything that moved!"
"Damn, the Zerg are insane. Not only could they fight off a hyper-advanced alien race, but they also engineered a doomsday plague?!?!"
"Yo… if we actually see Zerg creatures later in the ga, I'm uninstalling."
"Zoe, check where the disease research center is!"
"Oh, right!" Zoe quickly pulled up the coordinates on her wristband.
As soon as she saw the location, her jaw dropped.
"Wait… 200 kiloters away?!" Zoe gasped. "And it's 1,200 ters deep?!"
The chat lost its mind.
"1,200 TERS?! HOW ARE YOU EVEN SUPPOSED TO GO THAT DEEP?!"
"Precursors built their lab literally in the Mariana Trench."
"They're not just deep-sea explorers—they're deep-sea maniacs."
Ding!
Chang'e's voice chid in:
Due to the distance and depth of this location, it is recomnded that you:
Construct a large submarine to transport the Sea Moth and Prawn Suit.
Build an underwater base for safety and supply storage.
Preparation for Deep-Sea Exploration
Hearing Chang'e's instructions, Zoe sighed. "Looks like Xiao Che is telling us through Chang'e that we're nowhere near ready."
She realized she needed to find and build a large submarine, but she had only scanned fragnts of the Cyclops and Sea Shark back on the Aurora.
"With a sea this huge, where am I even supposed to find all the missing blueprints?" Zoe groaned.
"I can mark possible debris locations for you," Chang'e replied.
"Alright, cool." Zoe ntally added 'submarine hunting' to her to-do list and kept moving.
She scoured the massive alien facility for more useful items but found nothing else.
"Alright, water friends… looks like we're done here. Ti to build our first underwater base!" Zoe declared.
She entered the alien elevator once again, bracing for impact.
Even though she had used it before, the sudden drop still made her stomach lurch.
As she ascended, Zoe pondered where she should set up her base.
But before she could decide—
"Om!!"
A deep, resonant hum suddenly echoed in her ears.
Her vision blurred.
Ti seed to slow down.
Everything around her felt frozen.
Then—a swirling vortex of energy materialized in front of her.
And from the vortex, a massive alien creature erged.
It had a mantis-like head, glowing eyes, and a body so large that Zoe couldn't even see its edges.
Her mind reeled—
Was this thing bigger than the Leviathan?!
And then—it spoke.
"What… are you?"
In perfect English.
In a soft, almost motherly voice.
Zoe froze.
Her blood turned to ice.
"WHAT THE F—!!!"
Zoe scread and stumbled backwards.
The chat imdiately descended into chaos.
"F**K!!! IT TALKS?!"
"WATER FRIENDS, WHAT IS THIS?!"
"ZOE, YOU'RE DEAD. GG."
"What kind of Eldritch Horror just entered the chat?!"
"THIS GA WENT FROM SUBNAUTICA TO LOVECRAFTIAN NIGHTMARE."
Zoe's heart pounded as she stared up at the colossal creature.
Was this a Precursor?
Or sothing even worse?
