On the other side, Aiden and the others in the tunnel found the elevator leading to the top of the dam.
After reaching the top, they finally saw that the sky had begun to lighten. They had actually been fighting inside the dam for an entire night.
However, their bodies weren't bad, and they didn't feel very tired, so they imdiately began discussing how to deal with Javier.
"That guy can't be killed with conventional weapons anymore."
Aiden took off his backpack, pulling things out while speaking.
Taking cover behind the backpack, Aiden swiftly pulled out three M72 LAW individual rocket launchers and over a dozen blocks of plastic explosives from the system space.
"M72?" Leon was very familiar with this thing. He imdiately picked one up, checked it, and said in surprise, "Where did you get such an antique? Also, why didn't you take it out inside the dam?"
"As long as you have money, what can't you get?" Aiden took out a bundle of detonators, cutting them into small sections with a military knife while saying, "As for using them inside the dam, honestly, it's too narrow in there. These things can easily hurt our own people."
Leon let out an "Oh," then mumbled sothing like "being rich is so nice" with envy.
Seeing his actions, Roberta knew what he wanted to do. She squatted beside him and skillfully used tape to bind the detonators onto the plastic explosives.
While they were preparing, Fabiola noticed the tire tracks on the dam, but she didn't know what caused them. After muttering a bit, she didn't pay attention to it anymore.
A few minutes later, all the blocks of plastic explosives had been fitted with detonating devices. Aiden distributed them evenly to Roberta and the others.
"I think this stuff is probably useless, might not be as good as grenades," Krauser said while weighing the explosives in his hand.
"Don't worry, it'll definitely co in handy later," Aiden said.
He could tell that Javier's body simply couldn't control the mutating effects of the Veronica virus. If he could still maintain a human form, these things, including the three rocket launchersprobably wouldn't be useful. But once Javier's body mutated badly, then these things would be useful.
To deal with large B.O.W.s, aside from linear particle cannons and railguns, it's all about bigger and more explosives.
Next, Aiden and the others rested again, then prepared to re-enter the dam.
But just then, a terrifying roar ca from beneath the dam.
They imdiately ran to the side of the dam and looked down, only to see that Javier had actually grown a pair of wings. He was holding Hilda and constantly crashing into the dam.
"Mom!" Seeing Hilda covered in blood from the impact, Manuela shouted anxiously.
And hearing her voice, Javier stopped, looked up at them.
"Manuela, my daughter," Javier's hoarse voice rang out, and then he tossed Hilda aside and flew toward Manuela.
Seeing Javier flying at them, Aiden took the M72 rocket launcher from his back, extended the launch tube, and pulled the trigger at Javier.
Only a sharp screech of "whoosh" was heard. The rocket shot out like lightning, piercing through the sky, heading straight toward Javier at an astonishing speed.
The rocket was like a teor, trailing a long tail of fla, and in the blink of an eye, it was already upon Javier.
However, just like the other humanoid B.O.W.s Aiden had encountered, Javier didn't even bother dodging. He simply raised his hand slightly and, like swatting a fly, easily slapped the rocket away.
"What the hell is going on?" Krauser's eyes widened, shouting in disbelief. He had never encountered such a bizarre situation before.
Leon and Roberta weren't unfamiliar with what was happening. They had seen similar scenes before, so they weren't too shocked. At the sa ti, Aiden also raised his gun and, together with them, aid at the rapidly approaching Javier, continuously pulling the trigger.
In an instant, bullets rained down on Javier like a storm, as if trying to drown him in a sea of gunfire.
However, no matter how hard they tried, the bullets had almost no effect. The shots couldn't do any real damage to Javier.
"This guy is way tougher than that blonde girl we ran into in Roanapur!" Roberta's gun kept spitting fire as she spoke to Aiden.
Hearing Roberta's words, Aiden nodded slightly in agreent. Thinking back to the battle with Alexia last ti, it wasn't nearly as hard as dealing with Javier.
"This guy has already entered phase two," Aiden said in a deep voice.
"Phase two?" Roberta was stunned for a mont, then rembered Sergey, who had fought with her.
"Like that Slavic man?" she asked.
Aiden nodded. "So differences, though. This guy's body will get weirder and weirder."
As they spoke, Javier had already flown overhead, and wherever he passed, he shed large amounts of blood. When the blood fell, it not only caused a series of explosions but also ignited a wall of fire in that area.
To avoid the flas, Aiden and the others had to scatter, which made it hard to focus their firepower.
Of course, their guns' firepower seed almost useless now, except for Aiden's.
So Javier's main target remained him, constantly chasing and attacking him.
Seeing Aiden in constant danger, Roberta and the others grew anxious, but Javier completely ignored them. No matter how much they shot, they couldn't get his attention.
"Think of sothing to help him!" Leon shouted anxiously.
"I'm trying to think!" Roberta was also flustered but eventually realized she was powerless. Compared to Sergei, who only ran on the ground, the flying Javier was on a whole other level.
Manuela, too, was helpless. If bullets could at least hurt Javier, her ability to control fire was completely useless now. Plus, she couldn't catch up to the flying Javier.
'What do we do? What can we do? What kind of thod can restrain him?' Manuela was thinking anxiously, her brain racing.
Then her eyes lit up, she had an idea.
She noticed the guardrails on one side of the dam were strung together with thick iron chains, about thumb-thick, completely usable as rope.
Thinking this, Manuela gave up on chasing Javier and ran toward the guardrail. Then with force, she pulled the whole section of the railing out.
Her actions made Krauser, who had been watching her, exclaim in surprise again. The idea of gaining more power began to sprout like a seed in his heart.
'This is truly rare strength among mortals,' he thought.
At this mont, Manuela, dragging the long chain, charged at Javier. When she was about 20 ters away from him, she began swinging one end of the chain. When the speed peaked, she threw it at Javier, trying to lasso him like a cowboy.
But Manuela had been just an ordinary girl. Even with unimaginable strength now, she hadn't learned any real technique. The chain rely struck Javier and bounced off.
"Let do it," seeing Manuela fail several tis, Roberta threw away her gun and ran over, picking up a steel rod from the ground on the way.
There was a ring welded at the end of the rod, very sturdy. So Roberta threaded the chain through the ring, casually tied a knot, stepped back a few steps while holding the rod, then suddenly accelerated and hurled it.
Her strength had never been weak, in the original Black Lagoon plot, Rock had called her a human terminator, and after fighting Sergei, her strength had grown further. So the rod she threw whistled through the air like a cannonball, piercing Javier's body, even dragging a short section of chain with it.
After being pierced, Javier's body quickly healed, making it seem like the chain had grown into his body, making it hard to pull out.
Seizing the opportunity, Roberta and Manuela pulled the chain together. The once-dominant, flying Javier was forcibly dragged down by the two of them.
BOOM!
Javier slamd into the reinforced concrete ground of the dam, even leaving a shallow crater on the surface.
"Damn it," Javier cursed loudly as he got up, trying to yank the chain off with a backward pull.
But before he could act, another steel rod ca flying, nailing him to the ground.
This ti it was Aiden. With his current physical strength, plus awakened power and ntal energy support, the rod he threw was more powerful than a high-caliber bullet. The rod pierced Javier's chest, half of it embedding in the cent.
Then, Aiden, Roberta, and Manuela kept throwing rods at Javier. In an instant, he was stabbed with over a dozen rods, looking like a porcupine.
Seeing Javier nailed to the ground and unable to move, Leon and the others couldn't help but breathe a sigh of relief. Then they looked at Aiden and the others with amazed eyes.
"Your strength is really—"
Before Leon could say "huge," Aiden waved and interrupted, "Talk later. The most important thing now is to finish him off."
As he spoke, Aiden took the plastic explosives and began attaching them to the iron rods Roberta and Manuela had handed over.
In fact, plastic explosives were like modeling clay. Aiden quickly combined four or five 500-gram blocks and secured them to the rod with tape.
This amount was enough to flip an armored vehicle. It should be more than enough to kill Javier.
"Manuela, why are you helping outsiders fight your own father?" Seeing Manuela so committed to helping Aiden deal with him, Javier was extrely furious. But he didn't hate Manuela. In his eyes, his daughter was just too young and had been misled by others.
Manuela ignored him. Since learning that the monster was her mother, and with everything else that had happened to her, she had long been utterly disappointed in Javier. To her, killing Javier was the best outco.
"Almost done."
At that mont, Aiden weighed the iron rod in his hand. The plastic explosives tied to it made it quite heavy.
He aid the rod at Javier, pulled the ignition device, and then forcefully threw it.
Splat!
The rod pierced through Javier's chest again. The explosives tied to the end of the rod were right in front of him.
Seeing the burning fuse, Javier slled the scent of death and began to struggle madly.
'No, I can't die yet. I haven't seen Manuela grow up, haven't seen her marry and have children. I can't die yet.'
