"Damn it, just who is he?"

The coldness emanating from those yellow eyes made even Sergei feel uneasy. He couldn't rember himself or the company having such an opponent.

But clearly, now wasn't the ti to be thinking about this. Because just at this mont, he heard the loud whirring sound of helicopter rotors.

Sergei looked up and saw a Dauphin SA365 appear above them.

The suddenly appearing helicopter made him frown. He knew clearly this wasn't a company helicopter. Due to the military tightening control over Raccoon City's surroundings, the company's helicopter capacity had already been pushed to the limit. It was very difficult to spare any extra helicopters to co in.

Especially ard helicopters. They were already heavily depleted, and among the few remaining in the city center, two had already been taken down by Aiden.

Of course, the company still had a few general-purpose helicopters equipped with heavy weapons, but after sending them over, they had been redeployed to transport data and important personnel.

Now, the soldiers around him were mostly ones deployed in a single drop during the company's order to capture Aiden at midnight on the 29th. They were the last ard force under his command.

However, this last ard force had already been crippled by the protagonist group. Under Hunk's lead, they were hiding far away. The only ones he could use now were the two Ivan-type Tyrants beside him.

"What a miscalculation!"

Sergei knew that capturing Aiden was no longer possible. After thinking a bit, he recalled the Ivan-type Tyrant that had been pursuing Aiden.

As for Aiden, although he had entered the first stage of the Gene Lock, it was still a power granted by the card. Plus, his own physical condition was only equivalent to that of a top-tier athlete. Compared to the genetically modified Ivan-type Tyrant, there was still quite a gap. Though he wouldn't lose, he also couldn't defeat the monster in a short ti.

Seeing Sergei recall the Tyrant, Aiden let out a breath of relief. He thought, 'If I keep fighting, my experience card will expire soon,' so he quickly retreated to Ada and the others.

"You okay?" Seeing Aiden co over, Ada asked with concern while checking his body.

"I'm fine." Aiden smiled at her, but his eyes looked toward Sergei.

Sergei still stood in place. With two Tyrants protecting him, he wasn't worried about threats from others at all.

He only muttered with so regret, 'I shouldn't have been so arrogant. If I'd brought weapons, maybe…'

At that mont, he looked toward the tunnel, where several people were slowly walking out. Among them were so familiar mbers of the Wolfpack squad, and so familiar faces he had seen a few tis at Umbrella's officer training base.

Albert Wesker.

At this mont, Wesker had already put on his sunglasses, covering his yellow eyes, restoring the identity of a "human."

"Albert Wesker... So you really didn't die." Sergei looked at Wesker.

"I did die, but that was the old . Tch, honestly, if it weren't necessary, I really didn't want to show up." Wesker said with a mocking tone, though his eyes under the glasses glanced at Ada, who was sticking close to Aiden and checking his body.

"Heh!" Wesker sneered, withdrew his gaze, and continued, "But I had no choice. If I can make you all suffer, then what does it matter if I expose myself?"

After faking his death at the mansion, Wesker imdiately joined a company hostile to Umbrella. But because he didn't bring any combat data of the Tyrant out, even with his exceptional abilities, he didn't get a very high evaluation from his new employer.

This ti, besides wanting to obtain the G-virus to offer it and gain higher status, he also planned to eliminate all remaining mbers of S.T.A.R.S.

Originally, if things followed the original plot, his plan might've partially succeeded. But because of Aiden, his plan was completely disrupted, and he had even just stepped in to save Aiden and the others.

'If it weren't for her, I would've loved to watch you die, Aiden, and… Jill.' A trace of jealousy flashed in Wesker's eyes. He had abandoned his human identity and beco a so-called corporate spy. He should've acted purely rationally. But since eting Ada, he had developed a strange emotion.

He thought it was just normal concern for a subordinate's safety, but after seeing Hunk do the throat-slitting gesture, he couldn't hold back and took action.

But now, he felt that even if he hadn't acted, these people would've survived anyway. Especially Aiden's performance made him wonder whether this guy, like himself, could also adapt to the virus.

"Hey, Wesker, long ti no see!" Aiden let Ada hold his arm and check him, smiling as he waved at Wesker with his free hand.

"What an annoying smile, Aiden. If possible, I really wouldn't want to see you again." Wesker lowered his eyelids and held back the urge to strike. He had seen everything Aiden did just now, and honestly, he wasn't confident he could win.

"Is that so? Looks like your rescue had an ulterior motive!" Aiden glanced at Ada and pulled his right hand back. Though Ada rolled her eyes at him, he suddenly wanted a cigarette.

This scene irritated Wesker even more, and his gaze turned colder. 'Damn it.'

Aiden didn't feel the coldness of his gaze at all. He took out a cigarette, lit it, took a puff, and then looked at Barry and a man in a UBCS uniform coming down from the helicopter... That soldier greeted Jill, so it seed he was Carlos, the UBCS traitor Jill ntioned she t in Raccoon City.

'The plot is getting more and more chaotic!' Aiden muttered. He had wanted to follow the original storyline properly, but now it was clearly impossible.

Looking at how things were going, the characters that should've shown up at the tunnel entrance were originally only Leon, Claire, and Sherry, maybe Wesker appearing later.

But now, not only were Jill, Barry, and Carlos here, even the Wolfpack squad and Sergei, Hunk, and others who shouldn't be here had appeared. It was an utter ss.

'But this might be good too. If everything followed the original plot, would it really be that interesting?' he thought again.

Throwing the half-smoked cigarette to the ground, Aiden continued to say to Wesker, "So, Wesker, what are you planning to do now? Kill us? Or… kill him?" He pointed at Sergei.

"If I could, I'd love to kill both you and him… and you, Jill Valentine. You S.T.A.R.S. mbers are all on my cleanup list." Wesker shifted his gaze to Jill and Barry.

"Then co at , Wesker." Jill said coldly, "I'll personally take you down and avenge the innocent S.T.A.R.S. mbers who died."

"Most welco." Wesker slightly curled his lips, "But for now, I'll let you go. After all... I still have sothing very important to do."

As he spoke, he looked at Sergei and waved his hand lightly. From behind him, Wolfpack's Wolfmother stepped forward, tore off the Umbrella patch from her shoulder, and threw it to the ground, her burn-scarred face showing a mocking expression.

"Tell him our contract is terminated."

Then, she held up the box in her hand like a demonstration. Inside were not only G-virus tissue samples but also all the T-virus samples they had collected in Raccoon City.

Sergei stared at her coldly without speaking. He knew that saying anything now was pointless. In fact, he didn't agree with the company's decision to abandon the Wolfpack back then, but now it was far too late to say anything.

Wesker patted Wolfmother's shoulder, signaled her to move aside, then said to Sergei, "Likewise, tell him, I will personally take back everything that belongs to . Don't worry, that day won't be far off."

With that, he turned and walked in another direction. In a few hours, the company would send a helicopter to extract them from Raccoon City.

But after walking a few steps, Wesker looked back at Ada again.

Ada nodded at him but quickly averted her gaze, ignoring him.

Wesker's face turned cold, and without looking back, he left with the Wolfpack squad.
