To be honest, Takayuki was rather disappointed.

It seed that no matter how the trajectory of the world changed, the larger direction was still hard to alter.

The things that happened in the original world were now playing out once again in this one.

The video ga industry—or rather, the entire entertainnt industry—was beginning to be influenced by certain narratives.

Originally, gas could be created freely, as long as they didn't go against basic moral ethics.

Even adult-thed gas—while strictly banned on Gastar Electronic Entertainnt's console platform—were allowed to exist in a more lenient form on the PC BattleNet platform.

That was already quite a liberal environnt.

But even so, so people insisted on placing chains around it.

...

...

Perfectly normal ga characters were becoming increasingly unattractive, all in the na of "aesthetic diversity."

But these characters weren't just average—they were actively, uniquely ugly. Not even close to the average human standard. These weren't gas striving for hyper-realism, so why obsess over this?

Instead of wasting ti on such nonsense, why not focus on how to bring more fun gaplay to players?

The mont Kazuo Murakami said a few words, Takayuki instantly understood what he ant—because he had lived through it himself.

"Trust yourself. If even you can't believe in your own judgnt, I can support you with my decisive vote. If you're ever pressured into making a choice, just tell , and I'll cast my vote."

Without realizing it, Takayuki had beco a big na in the industry.

Words that only top figures used to say now ca out of his mouth with ease.

With Takayuki's backing, Murakami clearly felt a lot more at ease.

"Thank you, Takayuki-senpai. With your support, I feel much more confident. I was starting to doubt whether my choices were right."

Murakami breathed a sigh of relief. Now that he had the gaming industry's leading figure behind him, there was nothing to fear.

Earlier, an increasing number of votes and emails had hinted that if he didn't vote for certain gas, there might be "unpredictable consequences."

But now, he no longer had to worry.

After hanging up, Murakami felt more confident and began earnestly preparing the details for the Ga of the Year broadcast—completely ignoring the earlier emails and vote pressure.

As for Takayuki, he fell into a state of deep thought.

Many large ga studios were now starting to be influenced by these voices.

Only the smaller, lesser-known companies dared to ignore them—but those sa companies had beco the main targets of attack.

In this world, Takayuki had personally built the video ga industry from the ground up. There was no way he would let outsiders run wild and dictate terms in his domain.

So if they wanted to shout louder, fine—he'd throw so real bombs their way.

Takayuki stayed in his office for more than two hours. When he finally stood up, there were three brand-new ga developnt proposals on his desk:

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core

Bayonetta

NieR: Automata

Previously, Monster Hunter was aid at animal rights activists. Ring Fit Adventure was for those who questioned the value of video gas.

This ti, he was ready to give the so-called human rights "warriors" sothing to really talk about.

And that wasn't enough. He also planned to include highly attractive characters in Monster Hunter.

But just being "attractive" wasn't enough—he also had another plan: implenting one of the most iconic features in gaming history—a character customization system.

Face customization was a staple in later open-world titles. Now was the perfect ti to introduce it.

And since it allowed players to freely design their characters' appearances, Takayuki wanted to see what the so-called human rights warriors would choose when given total freedom.

These three gas wouldn't be difficult to develop.

For Gastar Electronic Entertainnt today, they were relatively easy.

All three gas originally ca from the previous generation—around the PS3 era—so their performance could be fully realized on hardware from that ti.

Now, with the GSX console roughly equivalent to PS4 performance, they could shine even brighter.

This ti, Takayuki wouldn't need to oversee every detail.

The developnt teams could handle everything on their own. He just needed to propose the core ga ideas and finalize the storylines—then the teams would take care of the rest.

So he wasn't worried at all about these gas failing.

At the sa ti, he decided to upgrade the character customization system in Monster Hunter: World.

Previously, he had underestimated its importance.

If people kept trying to tear down video gas, it was ti to strike back—hard.

Gas couldn't keep playing defense.

As for the impact from smartphones—that could wait. Facebook's new phone project still needed ti.

Right now, it was more important to crush these moral crusaders first.

Takayuki quickly took action and handed the three projects to three different developnt teams.

Soon after, a new round of teaser trailers began rolling out on Facebook's platform.

In the new trailers, three silhouetted characters were shown in shadow:

One was tall and elegant—clearly a stunning woman—with movents full of allure.

The second wore a skirt and floated beside a glowing longsword—mysterious and graceful.

The third carried a massive sword on his back—an unmistakable warrior.

All three figures were still just black silhouettes.

But the teaser announced that details about these characters and their respective gas would be revealed in the near future.

After a period of quiet, Gastar Electronic Entertainnt was back—launching another wave of high-profile marketing.

The silhouettes alone sparked wild speculation.

A tall, graceful woman. A mysterious skirt-clad fighter.

These were clearly going to be beautiful, iconic characters.

Players never doubted Gastar when it ca to character design—if Gastar teased a character, they wouldn't dare make it ugly.

And so, not long after the teaser dropped, the topic exploded on discussion boards and forums.
