Swoosh!

"Who dares to trespass in the royal palace?!"

In the royal city, High Eunuch Gao suddenly soared into the sky, intercepting a figure flying on a sword.

The person stood on the flying sword, dressed in the robes of the Sword Sect, with fluttering sleeves and a deep, long breath, revealing strength at the late stage of the Elental Infant.

Ji Hongyue, who had already sensed the intruder, did not stop him but instead furrowed his brows and shouted, "Gao Zhan, let her through."

Upon hearing this, High Eunuch Gao had no choice but to let her pass.

The person imdiately descended and bowed to Ji Hongyue, "Sun Yue, Elder of the Outer Temple of the Sword Sect, greets Emperor Ji."

Ji Hongyue, with a stern face, said, "I was just about to ask Elder Sun what cri my envoy committed in the Sword Sect to be treated so harshly?"

Sun Yue glanced at Envoy Liu, who was still crying miserably on the ground, and replied awkwardly to Ji Hongyue, "Emperor Ji, I really don't know."

"You don't know?"

"Yes, I truly have no idea."

"Then what is the aning of your trespassing in my Hidden Dragon Royal Palace? Do you think the Hidden Dragon Royal Family is so easily bullied?" Ji Hongyue's face grew increasingly displeased.

Today's events had caused him great embarrassnt. The envoy sent for a marriage alliance was beaten and expelled, and now an elder of the Sword Sect was casually intruding into the royal palace.

No emperor could tolerate this.

But the Sword Sect was too powerful, and Ji Hongyue did not dare to offend them lightly, so he suppressed his anger and questioned Sun Yue.

Sun Yue bowed again, smiling bitterly, "To be honest, I am here under the orders of the Sect Master to urgently bring back our disciple Lin Jichen. That's why I had to intrude."

"What is so urgent?" Ji Hongyue was sowhat puzzled.

"Uh... I don't know either. I only know that the Sect Master seems very angry and insisted that I bring Lin Jichen back imdiately, saying... to hold him accountable."

"Hold him accountable?" Everyone was taken aback.

Ji Hongyue turned to look at Lin Jichen and said, "Lin, did you do sothing to anger your master?"

Ji Tongyin walked up worriedly and said to Lin Jichen, "Young Master Lin, if you did sothing wrong, just say it. My father will speak on your behalf."

Lin Jichen smiled bitterly and stamred, "Well... I'm not really sure..."

Everyone was a bit confused. How could the person involved not know?

Lin Jichen felt bitter inside. How could he not know? But he couldn't just say it out loud.

"My master is jealous, so she's angry."

If he said that, his master's face would be completely lost.

So as a disciple, he had to cover for his master no matter what.

Compared to explaining to them, Lin Jichen was more worried about how to face his master when he returned...

Sun Yue seed very anxious and directly ordered Lin Jichen, "Lin Jichen, listen to the command!"

"Disciple here," Lin Jichen responded.

"The Sect Master orders you to return to the sect imdiately and wait for her at Sword Palace Mountain!"

"Disciple obeys."

Sun Yue then bowed to Ji Hongyue, "Emperor Ji, I apologize, but I must take him away imdiately. If we don't return within the ti it takes for a stick of incense to burn, the Sect Master will be angry with ."

Although Ji Hongyue wanted to keep them to find out the truth, seeing Sun Yue so anxious made him realize that Leng Feiyan was truly angry. Not letting him go back would be unwise; if Leng Feiyan ca down the mountain herself, it would be even worse.

"Then Elder Sun, please go ahead. In a few days, I will send soone to the Sword Sect to ask Leng Sect Master for the reason."

Ji Hongyue was very displeased but had to endure it.

Today, he had planned to arrange a marriage between Lin Jichen and his daughter, but it was completely ruined.

Feeling very upset, Ji Hongyue left with a flick of his sleeve.

Lin Jichen gave Ji Tongyin an apologetic look before being forcibly taken away by Sun Yue.

Tianyan Sword Sect, Sword Palace Mountain.

Lin Jichen was brought back to the Sword Palace by Sun Yue but did not see Leng Feiyan.

"Elder Sun, you've worked hard. You may leave now," a voice transmitted.

Sun Yue imdiately obeyed, relieved, and left. Before leaving, she gave Lin Jichen a sympathetic look, hoping he could withstand the Sect Master's anger.

She had never seen the Sect Master so angry before and wondered what this boy had done.

But it had nothing to do with her, and even if it did, she couldn't help.

After Sun Yue left, only Lin Jichen remained in the Sword Palace.

Just as Lin Jichen was feeling anxious, Leng Feiyan's voice sounded again.

"Co to my bedchamber."

This voice was even colder than before, like the chill of a winter's day, making Lin Jichen shiver.

Lin Jichen was sure that Leng Feiyan was very, very angry. When he first beca her disciple and accidentally intruded into her bedchamber, she hadn't spoken to him like this.

"Yes, Master," Lin Jichen replied cautiously and then nervously approached Leng Feiyan's bedchamber, standing obediently outside like a lamppost.

"Co in," Leng Feiyan's voice sounded again.

Lin Jichen had no choice but to brace himself and enter the place he usually wished he could live in. Unfortunately, this ti, he didn't want to stay; he just wanted to escape, but he couldn't.

Upon entering the bedchamber, the coldness intensified, and Lin Jichen felt a chilling aura surrounding him.

On a jade chair atop a white marble platform, Leng Feiyan sat.

At this mont, Leng Feiyan was sitting upright, eyes closed, expressionless.

Lin Jichen, feeling guilty, didn't dare to speak and lowered his head, waiting for Leng Feiyan to speak.

But Leng Feiyan seed asleep, remaining silent.

The master and disciple fell into an eerie silence.

"Little Lin, it's ti to eat!" At this mont, a ssage from Ren Lan popped up in his friend interface.

Lin Jichen smiled bitterly. Eat? He didn't even know if he'd live to eat.

He quickly replied, telling them to eat without him as he was on a mission, then closed the chat window and continued to remain silent.

After a while, Leng Feiyan finally opened her phoenix eyes and slightly parted her red lips, "I finally understand why you often don't stay at the Sword Sect. It turns out you have a beauty waiting for you in the royal city. No wonder you keep running to Fengqu City, opening a shop and doing business there. It seems the Sword Palace's coldness can't compare to the royal city's prosperity and excitent. You've long grown tired of staying here, haven't you?"

Lin Jichen smiled bitterly, "Master, it's not what you think. Let explain..."

"I don't want to hear it. Your explanations are all excuses!" Leng Feiyan snorted coldly, her beautiful face almost spelling out 'I'm very angry.'

Lin Jichen patiently explained, "Master, I went to Fengqu City not to see the princess but to earn more Spirit Stones."

"Earn Spirit Stones? Do you take for a three-year-old? If it weren't for Ji Hongyue sending soone to propose marriage, would you have kept in the dark forever? In a few days, you might have beco a prince consort. Indeed, being a prince consort is much more enjoyable and happier than being my disciple. I understand your choice."

Leng Feiyan said, not giving Lin Jichen a chance to explain, and threw a piece of paper that hovered steadily in front of Lin Jichen.

Lin Jichen was stunned. What was this? A divorce agreent?
