[KOSTA]

The room was quiet.

Way too quiet.

Kosta didn’t rember the last ti he had been in such a quiet room.

Maybe it was because of the rain outside.

Maybe because of the reinforcents that had been made.

Maybe it was because his heart was hurting so much and beating so hard in his chest that he didn’t even know whether he was overthinking or if it was just an emptiness that lulled him to sleep in the worst of ways.

Kosta wondered if this was what he had beco, what he had made of them. It was not his fault that things had gotten like this. Heck, it wasn’t even Tamiko’s fault. No one was to be blad for this.

Maybe the fates for playing with them and everything that had happened.

But Kosta knew.

He knew and could feel the pain that his Erasthai was feeling at the mont.

He wanted to take it away. To make things better for both of them.

He wanted to make a promise of forever, one that would never fade with ease, and yet history had taught him more than he had ever been able to face in a sober mind.

Now here he was again, a defeated Erasthai who was not sure what the fuck he needed to do again.

"Krushka..." Kosta breathed, his voice fading softly and defeatedly as he looked at his precious Erasthai on the bed.

He was laid like a royal. Was in royal robes. He reeked of gold and power. And even though he was probably dying, Tamiko looked regal and so handso that he was easily Kosta’s wet dream at that mont.

Tamiko looked perfect. It was almost impossible to tell that this pretty man on the bed was dying. That he was losing his touch with sanity and the land of the living faster than anyone would ever be able to breathe out.

He was in the worst state ever, and Kosta couldn’t even save both of them. Not even their love was enough to anchor them both, and that was a reality that even Kosta, a man who had always found it easy to accept truths, found difficult to embrace.

Each step towards the bed was like a cruel stab in his heart. Each mont his body marched forward, he couldn’t help but wonder how much Tamiko was in at the mont. And then the way that he wasn’t even able to fix them was already weighing on Kosta’s shoulders like the single burden he could never be rid of.

Their fates were fucked, yet even then, Kosta had dared to have hope.

Maybe it would be worth sothing, even as he stepped closer and finally took a seat next to the bed.

The seat was still warm, its cushion still sunk, as soone had just gotten up from it. It was as if soone had been here, and it wasn’t even hard to guess, because the king looked so wrecked when Kosta walked to open the door.

The king had looked like a lost father, a helpless father who didn’t understand what else he could do.

And Kosta was suspicious about that.

The mad king had all the power to end the ultimatum.

The mad king was linked to Tamiko and Yilena.

If the mad king killed Yilena, it would still count because Tamiko was incapacitated. And yet the king hadn’t threatened Yilena or even tried to kill his sister for his son’s pain.

It had Kosta wondering if there was more to this. If there was sothing that none of them were telling him. That in itself was a scary thought because the ultimatum had cost them eleven years and was threatening to take more.

What if there was sothing that they had to fight too?

Oh, but it was a burden that didn’t seem to leave Kosta even as he settled and looked at his Erasthai, who was breathing steadily on the bed.

He knew they had used magic to keep him in that position. That they were hoping and praying like him that the prince would be better.

And Kosta’s heart ached for his Erasthai.

He had so many wishes and prayers, but none would best the only prayer that he needed to be rare at the mont. To have Tamiko brought back to him. That was his only hope.

"I’m... I’m here, baby," Kosta said as he gently pulled himself off the seat and went on his knees next to Tamiko, like that would be the only show to the fates and the moon goddess that Kosta was begging for his Erasthai to co back.

That Kosta was ready to do anything else as long as it would get him and Tamiko back. That was his only desire, and gids were a haunting one.

"I’m sorry I ca late," Kosta whimpered as he reached his hand out to touch Tamiko’s hand, but just before he could, he pulled back because of the warning that Yilena had given him.

He was closer to Tamiko now, and he knew that that could possibly be a threat to the love of his life, but Kostak just couldn’t stay away.

No matter how hard he tried, it was impossible for him to stay away. He wanted to touch him, to kiss him, to hug him, to take away his pain. But then, all those needed him to touch Tamiko, sothing that he was unable to do.

And it haunted him, how desperate he was for the one thing that he had never paid too much heed to up until last week. What the fuck was he supposed to do?

"I hope you can hear , krushka... that’s my only hope right now," Kosta continued as he looked at his Erasthai.

Oh, but the urge to touch him was intense; nevertheless, he couldn’t risk that, not after everything he had just learned.

But he needed to talk to soone. Soone who would understand him. Soone who wouldn’t judge him for what he did, soone who was always there.

He needed to talk to soone. Even if his soone was in so much pain and was so close to appearing on him involuntarily.

"I finished it, krushka. I burned them all. Grealor. I... all of them. I eliminated them all, even the children," Kosta said, his breath getting ghostlier with every word from his mouth.

He was ashad of what he had done.

He was scared of what Tamiko would think of him, but maybe that was why he was telling him, so that at least Tamiko could wake up.

Kosta was so open to dealing with an angry Tamiko forever, but he couldn’t deal with a Tamiko who was gone.

A Tamiko, he was already losing.

A Tamiko who was what love looked like for him.

He couldn’t live without Tamiko and fuck it if he ca off as a wimp and a simp, because Igor Konstantin was in fact a simp for Tamiko Hinata.

"I wanted to be a better person, my beautiful. Soone who you would be so proud to call yours. It was always that simple... until today. I swear, I never intended it to disappoint you, but I think I did," Kosta swallowed hard, his chest aching even more.
