[KAWAI]
"Zula... open up, it’s , Hinata," King Zaffuto said as he knocked on the warlock’s door. It was sothing that not even Danny was sure would result in anything and honestly it was creeping the man out.
He had never thought that the king could be this kind and gentle but at the sa ti, he wasn’t sure if there was a thing that Zaffuto Hinata had ever done that made sense. The man had been in his own world one too many tis and he never once considered what was happening around him.
The fact that they were here at Zula’s house was creeping Danny out given he had seen for himself how the woman could be curled. Zula was never one to be talked to with ease.
She was always up to sothing and trust was not sothing that she could be accorded by anyone ever. Even coming here was sothing that Danny was sure was a mistake.
The woman didn’t give a shit about anyone, let alone anything that could happen to a lot of them. The way that life had hit them one too many tis with her around Grealor was not sothing that Danny would be forgetting about anyti soon.
If anything, Danny wasn’t even sure if this was the best decision by the king. Granted, he wouldn’t question Zaffuto Hinata, but soone had to try and make it make sense for them. There was just no way.
"Zaffuto?" Zula asked as she opened the door to see Daniel and Zaffuto standing there like life was not coming at them from all sides. It was weird, really how shit was happening and how they were trying their best to conform to the change, but at the sa ti, it wasn’t sothing that Zula couldn’t ignore.
The mad King was at her door, and he didn’t even look ard to the teeth. Then again, he never did walk with weapons. The man was the most dangerous weapon on his own and he didn’t need anything that could aid him in battle.
He always knew what to do and how to do that regardless of where he found himself. He was always a wonder and that didn’t surprise Danny or Zula. However, it was like Zula was seeing a whole new side to the chaos that had strived to be here this was not right, and it was creepy as fuck.
"You’re here with young Daniel?" Zula asked and Danny looked at the woman boredly. The woman he knew was a cruel bitch that had no regard for life and one who did whatever the fuck she wanted with the lives of others.
She didn’t care whether so many people would be hurt in the process because she was certain that her immortality was not sothing that could be traded off; there wasn’t a thing that could be done to her.
But then again, Zaffuto Hinata always knew how to make the immortal existence a miserable one for many who had tried to go against him, it wasn’t sothing that he could deny because, at the end of the day, it was the only thing that mattered to him.
He thrived in danger and chaos.
He loved it. It was like that shit called out to him and he answered the call instantly and he didn’t even have any regrets for it.
"Won’t you invite us in?" King Zaffuto asked and Zula smiled at him, heartily, sothing that got Daniel wondering if this was even a reality. This woman never smiled at anyone, not even the Alpha she served with her entire being.
She was always plotting and scheming behind people. She was always doing sothing to make other people’s lives hard and Danny refused to believe that this was just a coincidence that they knew each other.
Perhaps it was in the way that the King and Zula were smiling at each other from ear to ear, or maybe it was in the way that Danny refused to acknowledge the possibility that his best friend’s father knew the woman who had been the worst of all warlocks in the realm.
What the fuck were they even doing here and how the hell would they be getting the answers they needed about Konstantin then? What aspect of their lives would they be thrilled to indulge in when the sun wasn’t even as bright any more?
Lives had been lost in the free lands. People had suffered so much and there wasn’t much that could be done at the mont. So, what the fuck was the king even doing with the craziest bitch then?
"Oh, co in. It definitely would be rude of to leave you out in the sun. You could run to Mother about it, but she will just smack your ass over and again," Zula said and Danny choked on air.
He wasn’t sure he had heard the woman right because there was just no way. It was impossible that this was the kind of shit that the realm was cooking for them. What the fuck was even happening right now?
Who the fuck was this woman? And what was her relationship with the mad king? How the fuck had she often been this comfortable with him when no one had ever seen the King and gotten relaxed, even if they had done nothing?
It was strange and unsettling, but then that was what life had to offer them. It scared the hell out of Danny because, at the end of the day, there was not a thing that they would be able to understand.
Perhaps this was what insanity entailed because there was just no way that life was that simple and complicated at the sa ti. Sothing that had to be done, but what the fuck were they supposed to do right now with the way that shit was happening?
Who would not be nad for this? Why was it holding hands that would never walk freely then? Who was to accept the chaos that had ruled the realm for the longest ti? Oh, but Damy had so many questions but zero answers to them.
Perhaps that was why Zula just kept smiling at him before she turned to walk in.
She was scary and Daniel could feel the hair at the back of his head standing. That was how creeped out he was by this woman, it didn’t even help that he was with the Lycan king, a man who could counter whatever the fuck Zula could do to him.
"Oh please, don’t tell her. That damned woman would have hung by the balls before she asks what life is like these days. Anyway, you know why we are here. Did you create the powder for the oga’s heat?" Zaffuto asked as Zula offered them both a drink.
He didn’t mind and he actually took the cup for the woman while Danny stared at Zula like this wand wasn’t to be trusted he was right through. The woman couldn’t be trusted by anyone.
She was batshit crazy and loved to play long gas with everyone. She was not soone whose humanity was worth sothing, and she had made it known one too many tis.
Regardless of what her intentions were, she had never tried to make it make sense, and perhaps that was also why Danny just held the cup while the King downed the contents of his beer cup very fast.
If this was the last ti that Danny was seeing the king, he hoped that Tamiko wouldn’t bla him for the death of his father, and the disappearance of his Erasthai. Oh, how so much was already at stake and unsettling.
"Damn, it tastes so good. Can I have another cup, and possibly an entire bottle of it so I can share it with Sadako? He would denote love to drink this again after so long," Zaffuto said and Danny started in shock once again.
This woman was so different from the woman he had known and he wasn’t sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing. None of this scread rcy or comfort and Danny didn’t want to be a part of it.
Maybe that was why he kept his distance from the mad woman who had caused the people of Grealor a little too much pain.
"It wasn’t . I haven’t created it for a long ti, But the one I had went missing," Zula said and Danny scoffed at that. It was obvious that he didn’t trust whatever Zula was saying and honestly; it wasn’t like Zula had given him a reason to trust her.
She had always screwed the living lights out of Danny, and right now this just seed too convenient for her. It was almost like she had intentionally dragged them to the spot to make a fool out of them.
"How surprising," Daniel voiced, and King Zaffuto stared at him amusedly. It was a diversion that Danny hadn’t been expecting. The king was enjoying the little interaction they were having.
Life was seemingly not always going to be as sweet as they had imagined but then it wasn’t like they had co here because they wanted to check on each other, right? Soone had to answer for the chaos and the missing Lycan Chief.
And right now, all the pointers seem to have gone in the direction of Zula which was not making this any easier for her. But did she care though?
"If she says she didn’t use it, then I trust her, young Daniel. Don’t worry. If my sister wanted to harm , she would have done it directly instead of playing long gas. She wouldn’t have tried to take us in circles.
"After all, we don’t always love to be soft with our rage," King Zaffuto said and Danny started with an open jaw.
"Sister?"
