Han Zhan used a handkerchief to grasp it, then tossed the capsule a few feet away from the assassin, a mocking smile on his lips. "There, you earned it."

"Please..." the man gasped, desperation creeping into his tone. His mind raced, calculating how he would crawl over to the capsule. Han Xin turned, walking away, heading back to find Xiang Yu, leaving the man behind in his suffering.

Han Zhan and Kai Wang exchanged glances, the corners of their mouths lifting in sneers as they watched the assassin wail, his longing for death turning into an agonizing reality. The man attempted to move, but his arms were twisted at unnatural angles, bones broken and useless.

He strained with effort, feeling hopelessness close in around him. It was clear, he had not been fated to die a quick death. In his despair, he stared up at the sky, cursing them all, wishing for vengeance even as the pain threatened to consu him whole."

"Lian and i sat comfortably on top of the car, their legs swinging freely in the warm breeze. Beneath them, the vast expanse of open land shimred under the sun.

The two girls munched on dried fruits, their eyes trained on the horizon where Xiang Yu’s car had disappeared monts earlier. Da Hei lounged nearby, with an unmistakable sullen look on his face.

Noticing his silence, Lian nudged i with her elbow, both girls exchanging glances that spoke volus. They mouthed signals to each other on who should talk to him first.

In the end, Lian silently held up her hand and mouthed "rock, paper, scissors." i sighed but nodded, ready to engage in the friendly battle. They faced off, hands poised, excitent bubbling between them. They shouted "Go!" in unison, and the first round began. Lian chose paper, while i picked rock. "I win!" Lian cheered, her smile wide.

They tried again, but this ti i erged victorious with scissors against Lian’s paper. The tension built as they entered the final round, their expressions determined. Just as they were about to shout "Go!" a voice interrupted.

"How childish," Su Jing remarked, arms crossed and eyebrow raised.

Lian and i spun around, glaring at her with intensity that could cut through steel. "Sister Jing, who are you calling childish?" i snapped, her hands on her hips.

"Yeah, who?" Lian echoed, her tone fierce.

Su Jing sneered at them but couldn’t suppress the shiver that ran down her spine. She knew these two were usually sweet, but when angered, they resembled two fierce warriors ready to attack.

"Say it again. I dare you," i challenged, stepping forward.

"Yeah, say it again," Lian added, nodding emphatically.

Su Jing huffed, rolling her eyes before walking away. "That’s what I thought," Lian declared triumphantly, sharing a conspiratorial smile with i.

i patted Lian’s arm with the back of her palm, settling back into their playful mood. "Let’s continue," she said, both of them returning their focus to the horizon.

Just then, Da Hei’s deanour shifted. He perked up, ears twitching with curiosity. "They are coming back," he announced suddenly, gaze locked on a cloud of dust approaching in the distance.

Lian and i jumped out of the car in excitent, sprawling on the ground for a better view. As the dust cloud grew closer, anticipation surged through them. The car finally rolled to a stop, and Xiang Yu erged from inside, his expression unreadable. Instantly, Lian and i raced toward him, their voices blending into a chorus of questions.

"Did you get them?" i asked eagerly, her eyes bright with curiosity.

"You should have let us go with you so we could beat them up too!" Lian chid in, bouncing on her heels.

Xiang Yu chuckled, ruffling their hair affectionately. "Next ti, I promise."

"Han Xin stood off to the side, watching as Xiang Yu playfully ruffled Lian and i’s hair. A twinge of envy stirred within him. He wanted that sa affectionate gesture too. With a small sigh, he raised his hand and stroked Xiang Yu’s hair, the resistance of his fingertips brushing through the strands with a subtle tenderness.

But then, Han Xin felt a gaze upon him. He glanced toward Da Hei, who was watching with an intensity that made Han Xin’s eyes darken. Da Hei stared at Han Xin’s hand resting against Xiang Yu’s head with an inexplicable look in his eyes.

Han Xin decided to pretend he hadn’t noticed, even leaning into the mont a bit more. With a possessive glint in his eyes, he leaned down and kissed Xiang Yu’s temple, draping his arm across Xiang Yu’s shoulder possessively. The sight of this intimacy made Da Hei feel a lump form in his throat. He couldn’t bear it any longer and turned to leave, heart heavy with emotions.

"Look at you two!" i giggled, nudging Lian. "You two reconciled, good!"

"Yeah, big brother was like a puffer fish. I almost thought you would stay angry," Lian teased, grinning at the scene. Han Xin let out a silent sigh at their playful jabs, his focus still on Xiang Yu.

Soon, they began to pack up, preparing to continue their journey. Xiang Yu started toward the car he had been in before, but Han Xin was quick to react. He grabbed Xiang Yu’s wrist and pulled him along to his own car.

"Su Jing and Da Hei change cars," Han Xin commanded, his voice firm. Su Jing blinked in surprise, but she held her tongue, knowing better than to complain. "Let’s go, Da Hei," she urged.

Da Hei, unwilling to stay and witness the lovey-dovey atmosphere, followed without protest. Lian and i, filled with excitent, leapt into the back seat, determined to stay close to Xiang Yu. They settled in, giggling and whispering together. Xiang Yu took a seat, adjusting himself comfortably in the car.

Just then, Han Zhan slid into the car beside him, manoeuvring himself strategically between Xiang Yu and Han Xin. He knew well the PDA that could erupt from the two in the backseat. Clinging, cuddling, and teasing. But before he could settle in, Han Xin, with a swift motion, grabbed the back of Han Zhan’s collar and pulled him forward.

"You go in front," he ordered, his tone leaving no room for argunt.

Han Zhan turned wide-eyed in disbelief, "...Seriously?"
