The four of them followed him out, climbing the grand staircase adorned with rich red and gold decorations. The sounds of festive music floated through the air, a lively lody that underscored the excitent of the day. Yet, with each step closer to the bedroom, Han Xin felt his nerves spike.

The steward led the way, and Han Xin’s grip tightened around the plate, heart racing in anticipation and anxiety. When they reached the familiar room, his breath caught in his throat. It was decorated beautifully in shades of red and gold, a tapestry of love and hope. There, sitting patiently on the bed, was Xiang Yu, the man who held his heart.

Han Xin’s pulse quickened at the sight of him. But the red veil that covered Xiang Yu’s face shrouded his handso features, making it hard for Han Xin to breathe. Xiang Yu had been reluctant about the veil, but the steward insisted it would bring good luck to their marriage. Reluctantly, Xiang Yu had conceded, though Han Xin could see he wasn’t entirely pleased.

Steeling himself, Han Xin stepped into the room, the gentle jeers of their friends following him like a wave. He crouched down shyly in front of Xiang Yu, a bright smile illuminating his nervous face. "Hi," he said, biting back a laugh at how silly he felt.

Xiang Yu’s lips curled into a smile despite the veil, a warmth that reached his eyes. He bit his lower lip, his hand extending to touch Han Xin’s cheek gently. "Hi," he replied softly, his voice a soothing balm to Han Xin’s fluttering heart.

At that mont, the noise of the world faded away. The playful laughter, the teasing jests. Nothing mattered but the shared connection between them. Han Xin felt the fla of love burning within him, fierce and bright.

The steward and the others urged him on, their supportive whispers filling the air. Taking a deep breath, Han Xin focused on his task, determined to make this special mont perfect. With a gentle touch, he lifted a dumpling to Xiang Yu’s lips, steadying his hand to avoid splattering sauce on Xiang Yu’s elegant attire.

As Xiang Yu took the bite, the crisp crunch echoed through the room, a satisfying sound that sent a thrill through Han Xin’s chest. The dumpling yielded, revealing a filling of finely minced pork and scallions, juicy and perfectly seasoned. The savoury warmth enveloped Xiang Yu’s taste buds, each flavour mingling beautifully with the crispy exterior.

Han Xin couldn’t help but dip the next dumpling into the tangy sauce, the rich flavour enveloping it. As he brought it to Xiang Yu’s mouth, the burst of tastes seed to dance on his tongue.

Xiang Yu’s eyes fluttered shut montarily, almost savouring the harmony of textures and flavours that rged into a comforting embrace. The warmth from the al seed to fill not just his stomach but his heart, carving a space of joy within him.

"Your Highness," the steward said, the corners of his mouth lifting slightly. "Are you satisfied with your groom’s cooking?"

With a nod, Xiang Yu replied, his voice softer than usual, almost reverent. "Delicious. It’s... perfect." The words held an undertone of emotion, and Han Xin felt his heart swell at the complint.

He glanced down, feeling warmth flood his cheeks, a blush highlighting his happiness. "Thank you," he murmured, unable to contain the smile that crept onto his face.

"Yeah, Big Brother’s dumplings are a little ugly," i chid in, her voice playful. "But really, really yummy!"

The comnt only made Han Xin beam with pride. Even though the dumplings were not aesthetically perfect, they possessed a charm that ca from his effort and love. He caught Xiang Yu’s eye again and wished fervently that he could lean in and steal a kiss, to feel the warmth of Xiang Yu’s lips on his.

But instead, Xiang Yu began to feed him the rest of the dumplings, their eyes locked through the veil. With each bite, Han Xin felt a flutter of connection surge between them, a silent understanding that anchored the mont in sothing deeper than re words.

He savoured the taste of the dumplings, but more importantly, he savoured the gestures of affection in every piece.

After the last dumpling was devoured, Han Xin took a mont to gather himself. He bent down, searching the room for Xiang Yu’s shoes. He found them neatly tucked away and, with a gentle smile, slipped them on Xiang Yu’s feet. His heart swelled with joy at the small act of care.

"I am ready," he announced with enthusiasm as he gently lifted Xiang Yu into his arms, cradling him like the most precious treasure. Xiang Yu’s initial surprise lted into comfort, and he nestled against Han Xin.

If only Han Xin could see his face hidden behind the veil, he would have found it amusing. Xiang Yu’s cheeks were flushed, the delicate pink hue resembling a bashful bride.

The cheers and playful jeers from the others surrounded them, making Xiang Yu’s flustered state even more pronounced. Firecrackers popped and crackled in the background, the music soaring higher, blending into the festive atmosphere.

A hovering drone zood in to capture the mont. It broadcasted their joyful scene for the entire Republic to see. They witnessed Han Xin carrying his groom into the awaiting hovercar, holding him like sothing so precious that he wanted to shield him from prying eyes.

"Are you comfortable?" Han Xin asked softly, cupping Xiang Yu’s cheek gently through the veil. His eyes searched for assurance, a warmth blooming in his chest.

Xiang Yu smiled, his eyes reflecting the light of the day as he followed Han Xin’s movents, his heart racing with affection. Han Xin stole one last glance back, clearly reluctant to part, even if only for a brief mont.

The wedding procession began its slow drive around the imperial city, a route well planned by Han Xin. He wanted to show the world that Xiang Yu was worthy of this honour, that he was more than just a title.

This ceremony was grander than the one held by his parents. It filled the streets, drawing a throng of people eager to celebrate their new imperial empress. Most faces lit up with joy, their cheers ringing out in solidarity, but so wore frowns, displeased yet silent in their dissent.
