He felt a sense of helplessness; he couldn’t find a way to ease the pain dwelling within his lover. He would have taken the hurt upon himself and carried it like a physical weight if it ant bringing even a flicker of light back to Xiang Yu’s eyes.

When they finally returned to the imperial palace, Han Xin shadowed Xiang Yu’s movents, like he was afraid of leaving him alone. He knew he needed to lift Xiang Yu’s spirits sohow.

He asked Han Zhan to have them prepare a romantic dinner with all of Xiang Yu’s preferences and Han Zhan happily passed on the order. A happy Xiang Yu ant a happy Imperial Lord.

As they walked through the garden, fragrant blossoms swaying softly in the night breeze, Han Xin gently clasped Xiang Yu’s hand. "You must be hungry," he said, his voice warm. "Let’s have dinner."

Xiang Yu turned to him, a flicker of curiosity brightening his expression. "That would be nice," he replied, "are the others waiting for us?"

"Yes," Han Xin said, smiling quietly. "At the terrace."

With his hand enveloping Xiang Yu’s, he guided him through the opulent hallways, each step reflecting his excitent. Approaching the grand double doors that guarded the terrace, Han Xin paused, a hint of a smile flirting with his lips. He pressed a hand to the ornate panel, and the doors slid open with a soft whisper.

What lay before Xiang Yu took his breath away. The terrace transford into an intimate paradise, suspended in the cosmos.

Fairy lights twinkled above like captured stars, casting a warm glow that wrapped around them like a tender embrace. Slender, floating orbs danced along the periter, humming softly, their light soothing and inviting.

The heady aroma of pluria-like flowers filled the air, their creamy petals scattered artfully across the polished onyx floor. They created a delicate trail that led toward the centrepiece of the evening, inviting and serene. At the heart of the terrace stood an elegant dining setup, a slice of paradise illuminated by the glow of the stars above.

The chairs were draped in ethereal fabric, shimring like moonlight, a soft dance of light and shadow that reflected the beauty of the night. Their fras felt light as air, yet strong as steel, cradling those who would sit in them.

On the table, two crystalline glasses sparkled, each brimming with a glowing amber liquid that caught the glimrs of light like tiny suns. Between the glasses, a low arrangent of flowers blood, their petals glowing faintly, casting a romantic light that surrounded the scene in warmth and intimacy.

Artfully arranged plates of interstellar delicacies awaited them, the vivid colours alive against the luminous backdrop of the terrace. It was bordered by a sleek, invisible barrier, ensuring an uninterrupted view of the cosmos. Distant nebulae painted the horizon in stunning hues of violet and gold, while nearby stars winked.

As Xiang Yu stood awestruck, taking it all in, he felt Han Xin’s powerful arms wrap around him from behind. The warmth enveloped him, and Han Xin nuzzled against Xiang Yu’s neck, inhaling his familiar scent.

"I know you don’t have a mother or father," he said softly, his breath warm against Xiang Yu’s skin. "I don’t either. But from now on, I will be part of your family. You can depend on ."

Those words hung in the air, profound and tender, yet unknowingly heavy with aning. Xiang Yu blinked rapidly, his chest tightening with emotion. He had endured rejection from both parents, and Han Xin’s promise was deeper than the man himself could ever imagine. Xiang Yu felt sour, a lump rising in his throat that he desperately tried to swallow.

Han Xin, sensing the tension without seeing Xiang Yu’s face, continued gently, "I don’t know if you will accept . I co with my cousin and his husband." He chuckled softly, adding, "His husband is fine, but my cousin is a drama king. Will you accept my baggage?"

Xiang Yu couldn’t hold back a laugh, the sound brightening the heavy air. "Have you t the twins?"

Han Xin’s smile deepened, genuine warmth radiating from his dark eyes. He leaned closer, whispering softly, "Then will you accept"—he paused—"us?"

"You are my family already," Xiang Yu chuckled, his voice soft but resolute. "You didn’t know that."

Han Xin took a step around to face Xiang Yu. He gently cupped Xiang Yu’s face, his hands cradling him like sothing precious. "You can lean on from now on," Han Xin said, his eyes steady and sincere. "I will be there for you, no matter what."

Xiang Yu’s gaze locked onto his, and a playful smirk danced on his lips. "Rember your words," he replied, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Even in the next life. Otherwise, I will haunt you."

Han Xin leaned in closer, the tips of their noses barely brushing against each other. "I promise," he whispered, his breath warm and sincere. The mont hung, electric, before Han Xin closed the distance and kissed Xiang Yu deeply. The kiss held a fierce possessiveness and a desire to conquer, each gentle pull satisfying a yearning deep within him.

As they settled at the elegant dining table, their al laid out before them, Han Xin couldn’t help but steal glances at Xiang Yu. Each look was filled with admiration that betrayed his feelings.

Xiang Yu, noticing his gaze, playfully fed Han Xin a bite of the fluffy mashed potatoes. "What?" he asked, chuckling.

Han Xin finished chewing and swallowing, the taste still lingering on his tongue. "Yu Yu," he said, a teasing tone in his voice, "will you beat up people who betray in the future?"

Xiang Yu laughed, lifting another spoonful of mashed potatoes to Han Xin’s lips. "I will not only beat them up," he said, a fierce gleam in his eye, "I will beat them till their mothers can’t even recognize them!"

The humour in Xiang Yu’s words delighted Han Xin. He t Xiang Yu’s determination with a pleased grin, eagerly accepting the next bite from his lover.

If only Xiang Yu knew why Han Xin asked this. If only he knew that his husband had so... unusual interests.
