AN: Hello lovely. I am taking a leave day tomorrow. Happy reading.

Xiang Yu stood by the car, his eyes scanning the bustling street as Lian and i struggled with their suitcases. The twins, identical in their determination, were trying to lift the heavy bags into the trunk. Just as they were about to give up, Han Zhan rushed over, his face a mix of annoyance and concern.

"Here, let help you," Han Zhan said, his voice gruff but kind.

Lian smiled gratefully. "Thank you."

i echoed her sister, "Thank you, Uncle."

Han Zhan’s jaw tightened. "You should at least call brother. You call Little Bai brother, so why not call brother too?"

Lian shook her head firmly. "No."

Han Zhan sighed, lifting the suitcases with ease and placing them in the car. "Why not?"

i didnt golf back. He replied, "You are older than our master, so you are our uncle."

Han Zhan’s face fell into a resigned expression. "..." It was going to be a long stay. These two were most definitely going to make him miserable at every chance they could get.

Xiang Yu approached, carrying his own bag. "Did you pack your uniforms?" he asked, his tone serious.

Lian and i exchanged a quick glance before nodding. "Um, yes."

Xiang Yu’s eyes narrowed. He could always tell when they were lying. "Seriously?"

The twins’ guilty expressions were all the confirmation he needed. "You two are in big trouble," he said, turning on his heel and heading back into the apartnt.

As Xiang Yu walked past Han Xin, who was leaning against the car, Han Xin straightened up and got into the driver’s seat. Han Zhan, still fuming, muttered, "Xiang Yu would make a really good mom, wouldn’t he?"

Little Bai, sitting in the back seat, widened his eyes in surprise. "Excuse , Master is not a mommy," Lian protested.

i nodded vigorously. "Yeah, he is looking for a mommy for us."

Han Xin, who was clipping his seatbelt, paused for a fleeting mont. He wasn’t going to ask, but Han Zhan wasn’t so modest. Leaning in from the back seat, he asked, "What sort of mommy is he looking for?"

Han Zhan was already starting to think that Xiang Yu was not looking for a mommy but a daddy. Lian pursed her lips, while i glanced at Han Xin, quickly looking away when she saw him watching her.

Han Zhan couldn’t help but want to know more. He was even more curious now. "What sort of mummy is he looking for? A tall one?"

Lian and i answered simultaneously, "Yes."

Lian added, "Very tall."

Han Zhan, eager to dig out as much information as possible, pressed on. "Really? Like the one who always cos to the tattoo shop, what’s her na again?"

i looked puzzled. "What lady?"

Lian mirrored her confusion. "Yeah, what lady?"

Little Bai, sitting quietly in the back, knew exactly who Han Zhan was talking about. He was referring to Sister ng, but Little Bai hadn’t expected Han Zhan to know her. Han Zhan seed to have confird sothing in his mind. If Xiang Yu were interested in the tall lady from last ti, the twins would have known about it.

But Lian and i weren’t letting it go. i asked again, "What lady?"

Lian chid in, "Yeah, what lady is he talking about, Brother Bai?"

Just then, Xiang Yu returned, carrying the last duffle bag. He placed it in the back before walking around to the front passenger seat. He had a feeling that, like last ti, they had left the front seat for him. Sure enough, the seat was empty. He opened the door and slid in, clipping his seatbelt. He imdiately sensed the tension in the air.

"What’s wrong? Why are you all so quiet?" he asked, his eyes scanning the group.

A chorus of "Nothing," "Nope," "Well," and "Nothing at all" followed.

Xiang Yu raised an eyebrow but decided to let it go. "Okay."

Han Xin started the car, and as they drove away, two security cars flanked them—one in front and one behind.

A few feet along the street, inside an inconspicuous white car, a man dressed in all black with his seat leaning back watched the cars drive off. It was Agent Shen. Peng Xiu had instructed him to co to the tattoo shop and report everything he saw. She had emphasized that if Xiang Yu got arrested, he should inform her imdiately. Agent Shen didn’t think it was going to be a big deal. He didn’t know what to expect, but he certainly didn’t anticipate a shootout.

He witnessed the Die clan’s convoy pull up to the tattoo shop and shatter the windows with a deafening explosion. The madam of the Die clan erged from one of the cars, her presence commanding and fierce. She strode towards the tattoo shop, but the tal doors slamd down, securing the entrance. Agent Shen watched as Madam Die kicked the tal doors in frustration before her son dragged her away.

His first instinct was to call the police and rush into the tattoo shop, but he rembered Peng Xiu’s strict orders: no cops, no interference, no matter what. He thought this was it, the police would arrive, called by a concerned neighbour, and arrest Xiang Yu. But before the cops could arrive, a van sped towards the garage at the side of the building. A man, limping and clearly injured, ran out from the side of the building into the street before disappearing in the night.

There was too much happening for Agent Shen to keep up. He wanted to step out and get a closer look, but the fear of being spotted kept him rooted in his seat. After what felt like an eternity, the van drove off, and not long after, patrol cars arrived on the scene.

Agent Shen’s heart pounded in his chest. He had witnessed more than he had bargained for, and he knew that whatever was happening inside that tattoo shop was intense. He thought any minute now, Xiang Yu would be arrested, and there would be ample evidence.

But he didn’t expect them to drive off after so ti, seemingly having found nothing wrong. He watched in confusion as the patrol cars departed as if the chaos from a few minutes ago had never happened. The street was eerily quiet, the shattered glass and s few debris the only evidence of the earlier incident.
