Chief Xi reached into his folder and pulled out a stack of photographs, placing them deliberately in front of him. The photos were of a sleek, red Mustang, its polished surface gleaming under the streetlights.

"Do you recognize this car?" Chief Xi’s voice was steady, but there was an edge to it.

Xiang Yu let out a soft, throaty chuckle. "Isn’t that obvious?"

"Answer the question, please," Chief Xi insisted, his tone firm.

Xiang Yu’s smile faded, replaced by a cold, hard stare. "I am being generous speaking to you right now, so don’t play gas with . Otherwise, I will lose my patience."

Chief Xi licked his lips, feeling a bead of sweat trickle down his temple. Dealing with Xiang Yu was unlike dealing with the small-ti street thugs he was used to. It was like facing the final boss in a ga, and the pressure was imnse. He cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure.

"You have three tickets issued on your car after you drove through red lights two nights ago... Why were you in such a hurry?" he asked, his voice wavering slightly.

Xiang Yu’s lips curled into a mocking smile. "I didn’t know it was your division’s job to investigate traffic fines."

"No, it isn’t," Chief Xi admitted, "but this situation is special." He pulled out another set of photographs, this ti of a black car. "Do you recognize this car?"

Xiang Yu glanced at the photos, his expression unreadable. "No, but I have seen cars like that around. It’s not a rare model."

The room fell silent, the tension palpable. Chief Xi knew the chances of getting information out of him were slim, but he had to push forward. The stakes were too high to back down now.

He leaned forward, his eyes narrowing as he studied Xiang Yu. "Have you heard about the attack at the port on the Die clan?" He pulled out photos of the cri scene. There were grueso scenes of several n shot dead.

Xiang Yu leaned back, a smirk playing on his lips. "Who hasn’t heard about it? It’s all over the news."

Chief Xi’s gaze hardened. "Did you have anything to do with it?"

Xiang Yu chuckled, the sound low and mocking. He glanced at the one-way mirror, as though looking directly at soone behind it. "I wonder who made you think that," he said, his smile sinister and his gaze sharp.

Behind the mirror, Peng Xu felt a shiver run down her spine, though the feeling was fleeting. She knew Xiang Yu couldn’t see her, but it felt as if he was staring right into her soul.

Suddenly, the door burst open, and another agent rushed in, his face pale. "We have trouble. Soone claiming to be Xiang Yu’s lawyer just walked in with a group of n. He’s demanding to see his client."

Peng Xiu turned to Agent Lu and Agent Shen, her eyes blazing with frustration. "You two let him call his lawyer?"

Agent Lu shook his head vigorously. "No, we didn’t. He didn’t even bring his phone."

Peng Xiu quickly ssaged Chief Xi. Just as he read the ssage and was about to instruct them to stall for ti, the door to the interrogation room was pushed open. A man dressed sharply in a tailored suit, rimless glasses perched on his nose, and a briefcase in hand, strode in.

"I am Lawyer Guang, and this interview is over," he declared.

Xiang Yu’s brow arched in surprise. He knew this wasn’t his lawyer, so how did this man even get here? Chief Xi leaned back in his chair, trying to maintain his composure. "We were just having a friendly chat," Chief Xi said, his voice strained.

The lawyer’s gaze was cold and unyielding. "Are you charging my client with sothing?"

Chief Xi shook his head. "No."

"Then let’s go," the lawyer said, turning to Xiang Yu.

Xiang Yu stood up, a smug smile on his face. "Goodbye, Chief Xi. It was a pleasure talking to you."

Chief Xi’s jaw tightened. "Don’t get too cocky. I will be seeing you soon enough."

After they left, Chief Xi slapped the water bottle Xiang Yu hadn’t even touched. It hit the wall with a loud bang, water splashing everywhere. He rubbed his face in frustration, feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on him.

Xiang Yu walked out of the interrogation room, his steps unhurried and his deanour as relaxed as ever. A group of n in dark suits surrounded him, their presence cold and oppressive. Despite not knowing them, Xiang Yu exuded an air of authority, looking every bit the leader of the pack.

The atmosphere in the station was tense. These n, supposedly from a law firm, looked more like gangsters ready to storm the place. Detectives and police officers on the ground floor stood vigilant, so with their fingers lingering near their holsters, ready for any sudden move. Fortunately, the n in suits did nothing but walk out of the station with Xiang Yu.

Lawyer Guang, leading the group, turned to him and said, "Sir, please co with us."

He expected resistance, perhaps even a need to threaten him, but Xiang Yu simply opened the car door for himself. "Let’s go," he said, his voice calm.

Xiang Yu had a good idea of who had sent this lawyer and who wanted to see him. It was most likely the Dragon Head. He settled into the car, noticing the lawyer still standing outside, frozen. "Aren’t you coming?" Xiang Yu asked, his tone almost amused.

Lawyer Guang nodded quickly and walked around to the other side, getting in. Soon, five SUVs drove off like a VIP motorcade, though the person they were escorting felt more like a hostage. Xiang Yu didn’t ask any questions, which left Lawyer Guang puzzled. No wonder the Dragon Head had asked him to pick up this young man; he must be soone important.

The convoy pulled into a property on a hill, the large iron gates opening to let them in. They drove up to a grand fountain, where the cars ca to a stop. The doors opened, and Xiang Yu was escorted out, his expression unreadable. Ahead, a group of n were shooting clay pigeons, their laughter and shouts echoing through the crisp air.

The sun was high in the sky brightening the sprawling estate. The air was filled with the sharp cracks of gunfire as the older n took turns pulling the trigger, shattering clay pigeons mid-flight. Their laughter and banter echoed across the field, each shot followed by a jest about losing touch or growing weak.

Kneeling nearby, a man with dishevelled clothes and ssy hair trembled with each shot. His face was a canvas of bruises, blood trickling from his nose and forehead, mingling with his tears. He looked pitiful, his tear-stained face a stark contrast to the jovial scene around him.

Seated comfortably in a chair, an older gentleman puffed on a cigar, his eyes twinkling with amusent as he watched the trembling man. "Why are you acting so scared?" he chuckled, smoke curling around his words. "They barely touched you."

The dishevelled man flinched at the words, his body betraying the truth of his rough treatnt. The older gentleman extended a cigar towards him. "Here, have a smoke. It will calm you down."

The man shook his head, refusing the offer. Just as the older gentleman was about to insist, his attention was diverted. He spotted Xiang Yu approaching and lost interest in the dishevelled man. Rising from his chair, he walked over to Xiang Yu, a grin spreading across his face.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" he said, placing a firm hand on Xiang Yu’s shoulder. "Is this old Xiang’s kid? The resemblance is uncanny."

The Dragon Head, who was about to pull the trigger, turned to look at them. The older gentleman called out, "Old Han, doesn’t he look just like his father?"

Xiang Yu’s gaze t Old Han’s. The older man’s eyes narrowed as they locked onto Xiang Yu’s. For a mont, the air was thick with tension, neither man backing down. The older gentleman’s grin widened, sensing the undercurrent of challenge between the two.
