From the noble Asura in front, Lith understood that rats sniffing around ant the royals had found out sothing was wrong with their internal matters. It was faster than Lith expected, but the escalation wasn't to the point where the situation was unsalvageable. Lith extracted as much information as he could from this random noble and excused himself, stating he had other business. The business now was to et with his team as fast as he could. …

The ribcage of an ancient deity enveloped a wasteland. The broken bones gave an eerie feeling, and were enormous to the point of appearing inevitable. At the base of one towering shard stood a figure in a pointy hat and flowing black robes. The attire hung loose, but could not quite conceal the subtle alluring curves. The lady's gaze was calm as she stared at a petite blonde in a formal shirt and pants in front of her. The blondie was short but the most vocal and strong among them. It was the Witch and the Seer duo—Sylvia and Fei. "I'm telling you, I have a feeling that sothing is going wrong…" Fei clicked her tongue. Sylvia didn't comnt on it and continued to listen. "…I have no idea why I'm feeling this way. It's just not sitting right with and this is the conclusion I've co to. Do you think this is wrong? I an, with Master leading our team, I don't think we should have a problem, but…"

Fei paced in circles as she spoke whereas Sylvia still did not comnt. At this mont, space near them rippled like a drop of water falling into a still lake. Without a sound or further disturbance, a tall man in silver hair with sharp purple eyes appeared, wearing simple black daoist robes. Fei stopped pacing around and her tensed brows relaxed reflexively upon his arrival. Sylvia stopped leaning and stood straight, paying attention to the incoming man. Lith heard so of Fei's words and asked as he walked towards the two, "What problem are you two discussing?"

Fei clicked her tongue and said while kicking a rock, "Master, we were guessing the reason why you called us."

"Not we. Just her." Sylvia calmly stated while pointing her finger at Fei. "Excuse ?" Fei knitted her brows as she felt wronged. Lith chuckled and patted the two's heads. He wrapped his arms around the two's shoulders and pulled them in his embrace. The two were boss ladies, high level powerhouses, but when with him, they could drop their guards and be themselves. It felt like an eternity since he saw them be in such a way and heard their banter. Fei and Sylvia were visibly taken aback by his gesture. They thought they would get imdiate instructions on what they should be doing, but their man ended up giving them a mont of warmth instead. It was surprising, but a welcoming surprise nonetheless. "You two have been working hard." These were his first words, making Sylvia and Fei's heart lt. Sylvia wrapped her arm around his waist and took support to not fall off whereas Fei tip-toed and wrapped her arms around his neck. Lith rubbed their backs and continued, "As much as I wish to indulge in these monts, there's serious matters we need to tend to. I think you must've guessed as to why I've summoned you."

"We've been found out?" In a low tone, It was Sylvia who spoke this ti while staring at Lith's broad chest. Lith nodded but then shook his head. "The royals just know soone is ssing with their internal matters. They haven't figured out most of the things yet."

"That's a relief." Fei heaved a sigh. "Not really." Lith broke the hug and shook his head. Sylvia tilted her head in confusion, her pointy hat almost falling off. Lith continued, "There's a problem with this because we can't continue to cause trouble in the back end. Let show you why…"

Lith took out a tablet from his dinsional pocket and showed them the scenes of a group of Asuras getting the news from the ssenger and his eting with the noble. "Look at their eyes turning strange…"

The Asura society was dystopian due to all sharing the sa bloodline, albeit in different concentrations. Nobody except the royals had true freedom as they were all suppressed due to their impure bloodlines. The nobles and common folks could only think in a manner the royals wanted them to. It was due to this that they've been able to go neck to neck with the EGC all these years. If their society wasn't as such, the EGC would've long exploited it and thrown them out, given how many legendary ranks they had. The Asuras had a way to know if soone wasn't an Asura, and this did not allow for infiltration. Despite having Asura blood, Lith's movents were still found out because of how tight-knit the Asura society was. Invasion on their backend did not seem like a good plan anymore and Lith talked about it to the two ladies. After a few minutes of discussion, Fei, who was pacing around, looked at the colossal bones and said while placing her hand on it,

"Can we not make a gate here and summon the EGC officials? This place is one of the core areas after all."

Lith shook his head. "Only the Asura Royals can enter this place. You two are wrapped in my aura and have no problem, but if anyone were to step foot here, they would instantly vaporize and alert the royals too."

Sylvia raised her eyebrows and looked at her Master in disbelief. This place had such a terrifying might?

Lith shrugged and answered, "These remains aren't from a Legendary Rank, but soone of a higher rank. As the saying goes: there's always a bigger fish."

Fei and Sylvia were moderately taken aback by this. They did have a feeling that there was a realm beyond theirs, but to actually have proof of it was a whole another story. The two began touching and observing the bones.

Lith smiled and shook his head. It seems that this was still a bit too much for these two to digest. "In any case, we need to connect with Roy and Shi's team. We need to make sure they cause a bigger commotion so that those royals divert their attention elsewhere."

Sylvia took out a tablet from her sleeves and began tapping on it. "I'll try to connect." She said in her usual monotonous voice. Lith gave her a nod and patiently waited. …

The sky was ablaze despite the sun's absence. Smoke arose from a thousand places as fire burned consud the entire forest. In the middle of the burning trees, crazed half-human, half-monster like beings clashed against vampires. These were the Asuras of the AGC going against mbers of the EGC in a battlefield before Octavia, trying to stop their influx into Octavia. Bat wings flapped almost everywhere while sharp nails cut apart the Asura flesh. Among this common occurrence were two young n, using shields and spears to fend off the charging Asuras. They neither had bat wings or sharp nails. The only common trait these two humans shared with the vampires was their complexion. It was pale. Not a natural pale, but one due to stress and fear as a hundred Asuras ran after them with bloodthirsty looks. "Why can I never catch a break when I'm with you!?!" Lucas cried out as he ran beside Shi. "It's all your fault! You shouldn't have killed their leader!" Zhao Shi jabbed back, not letting his own self take all the bla. Like wolves, Asuras were a close pack. Killing the leader of a squadron was like killing the head of a family. It was without a surprise that they were being chased by a bunch who did not care for their own lives anymore. "How could I even make out it was their leader! They all look the sa!" Lucas exclaid as he tried to outrun Zhao Shi.

Zhao Shi ran faster and was about to curse Lucas again when his phone began ringing in his dinsional space. Without a problem, he took it out and picked up the call. "Hello!?!" Zhao Shi asked loudly. "You bastard! You dare to be on call at this mont!?!" Lucas's anger shot to the roof. This guy was the very embodint of bad luck, and in monts of absolute despair, he had the audacity to be on call with soone? If he wished for death so badly, why couldn't he just commit sepukku and end it once and for all? Why put himself in such a situation instead? Lucas had a duty to protect Zhao Shi due to his identity as the Vampire Prince's disciple. If it wasn't for the fact that their hierarchy was different, he would've long abandoned him!

"Shi?" A lodious voice rang from the other side, dumbfounding Shi. "A lady?" He couldn't help but think out loud.

So lady was actually interested in him and called? But how was that possible? His last few dates went horribly wrong, to the point where the ladies wanted to bury him six feet under. How did they get his number?

Zhao Shi was sowhat confused but elated. "Ahem. Young lady, this young master is a bit busy, so could you—"

A familiar voice that sent chills down Zhao Shi's spine ca next. "Brat, stop spouting nonsense or I'll chop your tongue into a thousand pieces." "M-m-master!?!" Zhao Shi exclaid in panic. Hearing this word, even Lucas panicked. The group of Asuras running after them felt less threatening in comparison to the owner of this voice. "Why do you seem in a rush?" The authoritative voice asked.

"I-it's nothing, Master!" Zhao Shi tried to play it cool.

"Hm? Sothing seems off. Turn on your video. Let see what's happening."

"Eh!? Video call? Now? But Master…"

"Do you want to co there?" The cold voice threatened. "Oi bastard! Turn it on! Turn it on!" Lucas scread from the side. Having the Vampire Prince appear here was definitely not good! This bastard better video called him instead! In a hurry, Zhao Shi almost dropped his phone but sohow managed to turn on the video. When he was finally connected, he saw a very handso man. This was hundred percent his Master, without any doubt. "G-g-greetings, Master…"
