rlin, the legendary Mage that once guided King Arthur in the ancient Earth was now an annoying skeleton!
Who would have guessed?
This was but the most ridiculous of turns of events that could have ever happened to Noah.
This was probably even more insane than even becoming a Vampire.
But this world was filled with insanity ad chaos, so wasn't this quite fitting?
And as Noah investigated and delved more into the truths of this world, he discovered that there were countless mysteries at every corner of the world.
But even then, he never guessed that such a figure was within the underground of Arthur's territory.
It was utterly ridiculous.
However, Noah kept a cold mind over this situation and quickly tried to assess things out, asking for the living skeleton to bring so proof.
The proof? The Holy Sword Excalibur itself.
Noah imdiately realized that the weapon itself was an S-Rank Soul Weapon!
It was indeed Excalibur.
Arthur managed to pull it out rather swiftly thanks to his bloodline, although it seems that the holy light of the blade was able to damage vampiric beings, as it burns through his skin, although Arthur had enough regeneration to not be bothered as much by its holy radiance.
However, as rlin celebrated that Arthur managed to pull it out, Arthur quickly gave it to Noah, surprising the old skeleton who was waiting for King's Arthur Successor to use the legendary sword and save this apocalyptic world filled with chaos.
"Why?! Arthur, you cannot give it to anyone, Excalibur is only yours! You pulled it out, now it is yours! A vampire without even the bloodline of King Arthur cannot even wield it!" said rlin, trying to convince Arthur to take it away from Noah's hands.
"What are you talking about? I said that I was not good with swords. In fact, I am a healer and backline mage… I also already have a Soul Weapon that enhances this… And what is wrong with offering to Noah-sama? He's my progenitor and also my friend, it is the least I could do," said Arthur while feeling angered at rlin's tone and words.
"Friend?! This Vampire?! This Undead?!" asked rlin.
"rlin, you are clearly an Undead too. In fact, you are a monster now," said Timassa.
"T-That has nothing to do with this! You! Give it back!" said rlin, pointing his bony finger at Noah who admired the blade.
Noah glanced at rlin expressionlessly, as he glanced at the blade.
"No."
"WHAT?! Give it back! It doesn't belong to you!" roared rlin, trying to jump over Noah.
However, he was quickly stopped by Iris.
CLASH!
Iris unleashed her phantom in the form of claws which she materialized into semi-ethereal floating limbs and hit rlin before he could even get close to her husband, throwing him a few ters away.
"You dare attack my husband in front of ? Do you want to die again, skeleton?" asked Iris with a ferocious voice.
"Agh…! You… Damn Vampires… To think that such an accursed race that I thought was already gone from the face of Earth had co back! You have taken over Arthur's family and brainwashed the boy, didn't you?! Heh, it doesn't matter anyway, the Holy Sword has a soul of its own and will decide its wielder, it won't let you wield it!" said rlin while laughing, pointing once more at Noah who inspected the blade.
And just as he had said, Excalibur seed to feel disgusted by Noah's presence, as its holy radiance started to emanate, even more, showering him with holy light-attribute mana that began to burn through Noah's entire skin and flesh.
However, Noah seed like it was nothing at all, he was completely relaxed, in fact.
After having bathed in the scorching flas of the Fire Wyrm Dungeon, this asly holy light seed to not be much of a big deal, especially with his Immortal Body Skill, any burn quickly regenerated back almost a second after it was ford.
However, Noah felt a bit of discomfort as the blade began to shake violently, it was trying to resist his grip and fly back to Arthur.
"Hah! See?! It does not want you! Let it go or Excalibur might even cut your head off, accursed vampire!" laughed rlin.
Noah however tightly grasped Excalibur's handle and rubbed his chin, which was burning and regenerating over and over again as it was bathed in holy light.
"Hmph. What an insolent weapon, do you dare oppose your new wielder? How about this?" said Noah, smiling maliciously as he suddenly gathered his mana and soul around him, activating several Skills and suddenly turning himself into a Blood Scion, scaring the unliving shit out of rlin, who jumped far away.
"D-DEMON!" he scread, if it were not because he was so weakened after dying, he would be already conjuring spells to exterminate Noah's unholy existence.
"Oh? What are you going to do?" asked Arthur curiously, ignoring rlin.
"Weapons are made to be wielded. When a weapon tries to oppose its wielder, you suppress it with your might and show it who is the one in charge," said Noah with a monstrous voice, he had beco a four-ter-tall demonic fiend with bulging muscles, pale-white skin, gigantic bat-like wings, a long and pointy tail, a bald head and crimson red eyes, whose mouth was filled with razor-sharp teeth.
Although he looked utterly demonic in every sense of the word, all of his subordinates glanced at him with great admiration, as if they were looking at a god.
Iris was the most fascinated of them all, as she admired Noah's demonic aura.
"Noah-sama, your entire existence is utterly devilish!" said Iris, it seed that sohow, by being in this form, Noah had a greater "aura" or sothing.
Noah ignored Iris's remarks for the mont, as he began to do the unthinkable.
rlin glanced at him as his entire bony body started to tremble in fear.
"Y-You! What are you… thinking?!" asked rlin in fear, as he saw Noah beginning to accumulate his Aura as a Crimson Red essence, which he combined with the energy of his very soul, and started to pour it over the entire Holy Sword!
"I am readjusting it," said Noah nonchalantly, as he started to pour more of his powers, mana, and soul into the blade, which began to resist as if it were really alive, it shined so brightly it seed to produce the sound of a person groaning!
FLASH!
The radiant holy light fought against Noah's black, red energy, as Noah slowly started to erode it!
No matter how much it fought, Excalibur lacked Mana of its own and needed a wielder to bring its true power, without Arthur to provide mana, it was able to only fight as much before it began to instinctively absorb Noah's Mana, corrupting itself from the inside out!
FLASH!
Another "groan" of pain resonated, as rlin scread like a madman and rushed towards Noah, however, he was kicked by Iris once more until his entire body fell apart into pieces, although he wasn't "dead" yet, as he kept groaning and screaming, telling Noah to stop this unholy act.
Noah ignored the mad skeleton as Excalibur was not able to fight back any longer, the darkness and crimson red energies began to engulf the entire blade, as its radiant golden splendor started to turn completely black and red.
