Dexter had to let the wolves go far as he saw that it was a familiar face. He saw a circular stone in Rases’ hand and took it, observing the item.
[Moonstone: An ancient heirloom of the werewolves, which grants them full control over their instincts. Has great magic healing capabilities.]
"How did you acquire this?" Dexter asked, looking at the peculiar jewel in his palm.
Who could’ve known that the item causing the witches and the wolves to go to war was with a re human?
Rases, on the other hand, seed surprised as Dexter dodged his attack easily and was behaving nonchalantly about it.
’I have to get the stone and leave. Now that the sun is out.’ Rases thought, struggling to stand up with the support of the spear in his hand.
"I just took it from the witches. Please, hand it over to ," Rases pleaded, panting as he tried to recover a bit of spirit energy.
"This stone could end the war between them. What do you need it for?" Dexter asked, his eyes glowing a bright red.
"I–" The black man before him gritted his teeth. He was feeling the urge to confess, but he knew it was compulsion.
"I... I need it to save my sister!"
Dexter raised his brow in surprise, taken aback by Rases’ confession. It was then that he rembered the condition of this one’s sister, and he looked at Rases in silence.
"I admire your spirit. I’ll give you a chance," Dexter said, stretching his hand toward Rases.
A blue energy-like aura ca out of Dexter and went toward Rases. In that mont, Rases could feel his spirit energy being charged, and he frowned as he looked at Dexter.
"If I join a side, I’ll win. To give both sides a chance, you’ll have to fight for what you want. That is, if the witches aren’t involved," Dexter said, smiling at Rases before tossing the stone back to him.
A black smoke surrounded the vampire, and he turned into a bat, flying away to a tree. Rases, on the other hand, stood there, stunned by Dexter’s words.
Whoosh!
Rases felt a sudden change in the air and turned around to see a large white werewolf pouncing at him with claws out.
Clank!

The claws clashed against his spear, and the ground caved in as he held on. A claw ca from below, and he spun the spear, blocking the claw from below and stabbing it mildly.
He landed on the ground not far away and lifted his head up to look at the white wolf in front of him.
It was more man than wolf, having a tall and aesthetic body with fur crawling down from his neck to his arms and long claws.
Its red eyes stared intently at Rases, and the half-moon symbol on its head glowed as well.
The wolf stretched its hand forward, silently demanding the moonstone in Rases’ possession.
Rases closed his eyes as he knew what the wolves wanted. But he couldn’t give it up now—he had already co so far.
"I’m sorry, but I can’t give it to you," he replied, putting on a serious expression as he waved the spear in a circle.
The wolf frowned, and then dozens of wolves erged from the forest and the trees behind him, all ready to face the human before them.
Rases drew a line on the ground with the spear, and Tarzon, the white wolf, instantly jumped back as he felt a large amount of spirit energy directed toward him.
A beam of light struck the position he had been standing in a mont ago. Enraged by the attack, the wolves jumped at him from all directions.
Rases suddenly turned into a white light and sped off in one direction, and Tarzon caught this.
He sped toward the light, turning into a red blur behind Rases. Rases was surprised that the wolf was able to keep up with his light speed. They clashed, causing multiple trees to shatter due to the shockwaves.
Another blue light t Rases, and they both pushed him in a single direction. Rases fell, crashing through multiple trees in his path.
The forest was in ruins from this small chase. Two individuals appeared before Rases, both glaring down at him.
Tarzon wasn’t patient at all and grabbed Rases by the neck.
"Give the stone now," he demanded.
Rases couldn’t struggle against his bare strength, so he pulled it out of his pocket.
"If I can’t have it, no one will," he said, throwing the stone up into the air.
Tarzon left the human and watched the stone fall back down, but then a golden spear flew toward it with great speed, and his eyes widened.
He leapt into the air, followed by Trisha. Alas, they weren’t able to reach the spear in ti, and it hit the moonstone, shattering it mid-air.
Tarzon’s eyes widened as he saw this, and even Trisha, who was always cheerful, had a look of annoyance on her face.
A golden light flashed past, reaching the ground before both of them.
Dexter’s black wings glistened as sunlight hit them, and with the frown on his face, it was obvious that he was also not happy with what had just happened.
"What the fuck is wrong with you?" Dexter asked as he observed the shattered stone.
"Hahahahaaaa..." Rases could only laugh as he watched the scene unfold.
Dexter spotted multiple presences. He saw more wolves along with Teach erge from the forest. Taking a glance at Rases, he moved to the side.
Rases’ eye was filled with fear as Tarzon walked past Dexter and strode toward him.
He leapt into the air, punching the human as he ca down.
Bang!
"Argh..." Rases could feel blood rise up his throat from that first blow, and the ground beneath him was crumbling.
Bang! Bang! Bang!...
It was an endless, non-lethal assault against Rases. There was nothing he could do. It was clear that Tarzon didn’t want to kill him—at least not yet.
Rases’ vision was already beginning to fade when he saw Tarzon’s claws extend.
"Enough of these gas. You’ve had your fun," Tarzon smirked, and Rases smirked along with him.
"I’m not going down alone."
Tarzon frowned at those words. Then, he heard a tallic humming from above and looked up to see the spear directly in front of his eyeball.
There was no way to deflect or catch it now—he was done for.
The spear suddenly stopped its descent at that mont. In mid-air, Dexter held it with one hand, stopping it from moving downward.
"What?" Rases furrowed his brows as he saw Dexter holding the golden spear. That was the last thing he saw before his vision blacked out completely.
