272 Decision Of Valkyria.

Valerian’s use of light magic caused the flash of light, followed by the earth spears that triggered the screams of the soldiers running at him eagerly. The young prince did not spare anyone. Every soldier within the range of his spell was injured.

On the other side, Morgana and the other two were reaping lives too. They had been going at it tirelessly. But, looking at their actions, the old n discussed, “What are they trying to do?”

The old Magnus Magister said, “I think it must be sothing related to the legend that Her Excellency ntioned earlier. What do you think, Master Alex.”

Master Alex was the strongest grandmaster in this camp, and hearing the question. He replied, “I was also thinking about what you said ntioned. However, my knowledge of old legends is not so good.”

The old archmage sighed and said, “After Her Excellency ntioned that legend, I tried recalling if there was a link to all this. And I recalled a record that states if the monarchs of all the nations go on a conquest against one of them, they might be able to lure the patron magical beast of that nation.”

This statent was akin to a bomb in the minds of both Master Alex and Magum Magister Eloy. They looked at the old archmage with wide-open eyes while the latter asked, “What record are you talking about, old airhead.”

The old archmage was called airhead because of his goofy persona, and after hearing the question, the old man scratched his head and said, “If I rember correctly, it should be called the Journal of the magical patrons. It recorded the statents written by the first humans who learned literary skills under their guidance. Master Alex, what do you think? Magical creatures, fascinating, taught humans, isn’t it?”

Master Alex did not bother with the airhead and looked at Eloy, who was rummaging sothing from his magical pouch, and soon he retrieved the book ntioned by the Archmage.

The two people exchanged glances and started skimming the book.

.....

While the two people were reading the book, the massacre was getting bigger and bigger. Valerian had started using magical spells but did not use his battle aura to augnt his physique. As a result, the Valkyrians approaching him were now revealing hints of fear in their eyes.

They could not understand this guy’s thods as he avoided all their attacks, and even if they managed to land one, it fell on the soft armor on his body. This sort of repetition was unbearable for them.

However, Valerian had trained his mind to do repetitive actions for six months. As a result, his mind was calm, and he suffered greatly during those months. The repetition of exercises annoyed him. One day, when he was about to question the maiden, she told him, ‘Repetition will help him develop a state of mind where he will be able to stay calm and assess the situation perfectly.’

This made Valerian stick to it, and he could show the results today in the battle. He fought non-stop and found the best path to escape the incoming attacks.

They had started fighting at noon, and now the sun had co down from the sky. The soldiers and the old n were shocked to see the display of the fighting prowess of these four young people.

The corpses they had left behind could now pile up into a small hill. A few Valkyrian elders stepped into the battle, but all died brutally.

Fortuna looked down from the window and said, “About to co out.”

Boo-too nodded and said, “That guy will not be happy about it.”

Fortuna scoffed and said, “The intention is not to make him feel happy. On the contrary, he endangered the balance of the world. If the Dragon God took action, you know what would happen?”

Boo-too said, “The dragon god has not acted in a few hundred years. So I doubt if he will be affected by this.”

Fortuna gazed at the bloom kin and said, “You know this statent can land you in serious trouble? He is always hearing and always watching everything that happens on Vita.”

Boo-too shook her head and said, “I do not believe in the goddess of Bloom-kins. Do you think I will believe in soone else? Yes, he may be able to see and watch things, but what action has he taken in our world? You preach for him because he is your god, but the blessings bestowed by him are why the world is in this chaos. You know what I said is a fact, so do not bother. The main topic today is the upcoming battle.”

Fortuna sensed a twitch at the corner of her eye but stayed silent as she watched Valerian fighting on the ground. Ti passed away quickly, and the moons of Vita had taken over the duty to illuminate the world.

The Valkyrians had decided to withdraw, but Valerian and the rest were still going after them. Ashlyn was injured, and so was Lyon. They took quick healing dicines and recovered. Morgana had also suffered a few wounds but nothing significant.

On the other hand, Valerian had the most wounds on his body. The cycle of fighting with the Grandmasters from Valkyria took a toll on him. The young man was having trouble with his output now. The battle aura in his body was exhausted.

At this mont, the opponent in front of him asked while holding his left shoulder. Valerian had just finished slicing his hand away, “Why are you doing this? Are you going to violate the rules of the triumph et?”

Valerian looked coldly at the man, saying, “The triumph et ended. Look over there.”

Then he raised his sword and pointed behind him. Titan was delivered to the ground during the battle, and now Lyon was dragging the person behind him. The grandmaster shivered and then wailed, “Nooo, what have you done, you bastards.”

Valerian did not bother to console him and said, “We defeated him and his army. Now, you have two choices: to fight to the death or call forth your patron, the god of wolves.”

The grandmaster was shocked to hear this, and then he said, “You will be acknowledged by defeating our ruler with higher numbers. You are unworthy.”

Valerian shook his head and said, “I defeated him alone. It was a fair duel. You can contact anyone from his delegation, and they will prove it.”

The grandmaster hesitated, they were unruly, but they still had so rules that must be followed regardless of the win and the loss. Finally, he said, “Give a few minutes. I need to discuss this with my clan elders.”

Valerian nodded and said, “You have one hour. After that, it will be war.”

The grandmaster rushed back to the lines to contact the elders. The Valkyrian elders were all superb warriors who would travel along the army to sacrifice themselves for their ruler if needed.

While the Valkyrians were discussing the matter, Valerian was healing and talking to the other three. Then, he said, “After they decide to summon the god of the wolves, you all are to step back.”

Ashlyn frowned and said, “Are you not being too curt now? We were just fighting together.”

Valerian looked at her coldly and said, “Your Excellency, do you know that your participation will violate my effort for this trial of acknowledgnt? Do you know what will happen if I do not pass this trial? I will beco a mindless monster capable of eradicating everything and anything for no apparent reason.”

Ashlyn scoffed, saying, “What sort of la excuse is this?”

Morgana said, “No, he is speaking the truth. He inherited the power of decay and the rage inside the departed soul of the Forr Queen of Dragons.”

The two people were surprised to hear this. Valerian did not comnt but sat on the ground to heal his condition.

Lyon asked, “Did you not tell that the berserkers had a special condition where they would enter the state that gives them double power and speed and also rage where they might kill even their clansn? Why did I not see anything like that in the battle today?”

Morgana replied, “We acted on our own to prevent this. We are four children who they thought could be taken down with ease. They still did not raise their guard. This is the thod to diffuse their threat perception.

While the three chatted, ti passed away, and after an hour, the grandmaster from the berserk camp returned. Morgana notified Valerian, who stood up to et the group of old Valkyrians.

The old n said, “We will summon our god, but what happens next is up to you and your strength.”

Valerian nodded and said, “Go on.”

The old n saw that Valerian had a strong resolve so they nodded to each other and instructed a few young n to draw a magic circle on the ground and they began to chant so weird spell under their breaths to summon the wolf god.
