Valerian turned around to look at the girl in front of him. The girl was two heads taller than him, seemingly a late teenager. She had golden brown hair and her eyes were shining as if sapphire. She looked very valiant dressed in a white shirt and knee-length erald skirt. Her shoulders were covered with a matching erald tunic, and the final touch was her knee-high boots.

She really gave off the vibe of a rich and noble princess. Valerian was dressed in a black shirt and pants, with shin-high brown boots and a silver tunic on his shoulders. Despite the lack of color on his person, he was strikingly handso. Ashlyn was shocked for a minute when she saw him.

However, before she could adjust her stance, the boy said, “Lady Conixia, you can go back to your dwellings and tend to your own work.”

The lady nodded, and after a slight bow, she left the place in a hurry. She did not wish to be implicated in whatever was about to co next.

Ashlyn found this absurd, after all, she was still talking to the lady in front of her, yet this boy dared to dismiss her. She said, “Can you not see that I am not done talking to her?”

His tone was calm, as if a breeze, but he was walking away slightly faster. His blood was boiling and he was going to vent. The cat on his shoulder raised her head and slightly cast a look at the princess, who was gazing at Conixia.

Conixia sighed and said, “I beg your pardon, Your Highness. When I first t the Prince, he was a commoner, practicing his skills in the forest, and he saved the lives of my group from a Magical beast. However. I doubted so of his actions and insulted his parents.

Valerian’s heart skipped a bit and his gaze focused on the point between Fallax’s brows. This was a trick to avoid eye contact, but sadly, he was seen through. The old man said, “You think you can avoid the question with the trick I taught you?”

This was enough to tell Valerian that no matter what lies he ca up with, Fallax will be able to see through it. He could only clench his fist and say, “I do not trust you enough to tell you the truth.”

The old man was surprised, but he nodded and said, “Fair Enough. However, I already know the truth.”

Valerian looked him in the eyes, while his brain was already thinking, that if the old man tried to take away Fortuna, he will kill this guy and then run away from the place, then even leave the country.
