Arthur had changed to a new form that won't be recognized by not just the other player's but also the NPCs.
After all, he didn't forget that he was no longer a human in this form.
'While they might not discriminate against Half-shadow elf or just half elves in general here, it would still be alarming for them to figure out that there is soone like that here.' Arthur thought to himself.
For the players, the appearance of any other race was an interesting event. Especially at a ti like this when the ga had just started.
Seeing Arthur would bring forth a wave of players that would want to see the unique race player that no one had seen before this.
As such it was important for Arthur to hide his appearance.
Thankfully, even for NPCs as long as he used the right kind of equipnt they wouldn't be able to see what race he was. This might be limited to a few NPCs as the stronger ones would be able to learn this regardless.
With that in mind, Arthur easily managed to avoid the looks of all those that gazed at him and reached the alley where the player nad Rain was waiting for him.
Arthur did not speak to the man right away, instead waiting for the right opportunity.
He let a few NPCs walk past Rain while the man seed to be busy using the Inspect skill to find out his opponent. Of course, the man had no idea that the person he was looking for all this ti was actually right behind him.
Once the ti felt right for Arthur he walked in, openly revealing his presence.
"For belonging to the Agate E-sports team, you lack quite a lot of knowledge." Arthur spoke into the ears of the man. "Or rather, as 'THE Rain' I can't help but find you a bit lacking." He added.
Arthur's words were heard by Rain and the man couldn't help but recoil. His instincts took over and he drew out his sword in resistance.
Of course, he knew that since soone had managed to get that close to him, he was already close to death.
It was just his luck that he had managed to live this ti.
"Who are you?" Rain questioned.
"I hoped that you would know the person you invited at least" Arthur spoke again, making Rain a bit unsettled.
The man's senses had failed him and Arthur was fully taking advantage of the Sneak Skill that he had obtained earlier.
"You…. Grey Watcher!" Rain finally realized.
"Indeed." Arthur nodded.
Now that Rain had identified who this person was, he beca even more surprised. There was no way he would now that soone could approach like this and whisper in his ears.
It was safe to say that Arthur's actions could potentially turn out offensive for a lot of the organizations. But with the Agate E-sports team, he knew that they weren't one's that minded this.
At this point in the ga, they would be wary and would take every interaction very seriously.
As such, Arthur's actions only made the pro player Rain rather nervous.
~SHUA~
Arthur dispelled the Sneak Skill and walked out into the open.
It allowed Rain to get a proper look at the man that was covered from his head to his feet. It was hard to perceive what Arthur looked like, though Rain was already prepared for it.
'None of the known players fit this description, as such he is truly a new player.' Rain thought to himself. 'Though his behavior does match the guide makers and Intel sellers that are common over the gas.'
Rain simply assud that Arthur was an experienced Intel Hunter. His personality that he was trying to see felt the sa and as such the man was basically convinced.
Of course, he had no idea that he had already fallen in Arthur's plan from hear on out,
"I would disagree." Rain finally spoken trying to save his face.
"And I would disagree on that. I've been watching you for a while." Arthur stated instead, trying to bring the man down a few more notches.
"And what do you disagree on?" Rain questioned, not knowing that Arthur was soone who had experienced it all.
"Of course, I'll gladly extrapolate on that." Arthur answered. "The first thing would be the fact that you do not pay attention on the people you encounter. Whether they be NPCs or player." He expanded.
"Huh… do you an to say I should check every person for a player?" The man couldn't help but ask.
"Of course not," Arthur shook his head. "But at the very least you should know the baseline of whether soone is a player or not depending on their levels." He finally said.
Hearing that, Rain grasped the fact that Arthur had actually been here for a long ti and had been waiting for the agreed ti.
"You were watching?" Rain questioned.
"If you have to ask that, I don't know what to say." Arthur chided the man further, bringing the man's mind down.
This was all intentional on Arthur's part as he wanted Rain to feel inferior too him. He knew that the player Rain was a rich person with a privileged lifestyle. The only way to make him respect himself would be to make him think of 'Grey Watcher' as soone great.
This seed to be working on a decent level, as Rain was lost in thought.
'How did soone manage to get this far ahead of my team and even other top companies?' Rain thought to himself.
He couldn't help but wonder if so other team had actually trained and prepared them for this. But all the evidence only brought them to the fact that the current information was quite wrong.
"I was here for a while and saw you waiting. You might already know the reason for this as well as why I did not react to you in the first place." Arthur finally said, wanting to continue the conversation.
"I get it." Rain did not deny it. "It was us that wanted to et you, and now that you have it is up to us to prove our value." Rain stated.
"Exactly." Arthur nodded to himself.
"Which brings to the offer that you talked about," Arthur stated in a cold voice.
The tone of the voice made the top player a bit unsure but the man finally spoke.
"So what is it that you exactly want from ?" Arthur questioned as 'Grey Watcher'.
~huu~
Rain took a deep breath and broke his character. This was unlike him for Arthur as he had known the man to be the epito of confidence and determination.
'Guess the man had his now changes in that ti.' Arthur reckoned but did not put down the changes of the man.
"What … what my company wishes from you is an exclusive contract for content and future guides." Rain finally revealed.
Arthur went silent after hearing that, though he knew very well that this was sothing that was the highest possible chance.
He didn't let it show on his face of course and instead chose to look away. His face hidden underneath the cowl along with his simple montum and cold deanor made Rain feel even more unnerved.
'Is he really soone else?' Rain wondered before trying to use the skill again.
>Inspect has failed!<
"Dammit!" Rain muttered under his breath knowing that this was basically sothing that could cause great issue with not just him but his team.
He had also not forgotten the earlier lesson that using the skill Willy-nilly could cause issues with the other NPCs.
And here he had gone using it on multiple people without knowing whether they were players or not.
Thankfully for Rain, he had been saved by the ga's default chanics and no one took it to heart.
But he also knew that in the future there would be a lot more people and players that would detect when he used the silk and as such be detected.
This only beca worse with the expression of the player nad Grey Watcher.
"You really need to do better." Arthur spoke. "But… I'll give you a little bit of liberty as a gift." He added much to the man's surprise.
"Liberty?" Rain questioned.
"Use the Inspect Skill again," Arthur asked.
"Are you sure?" Rain did not dare to use it directly again.
He already felt the repercussions of it and did not want to get them again.
"I am sure. This is also in my favor and you will trust more after this." Arthur replied to the man, making him act.

Seeing the incomplete status of the man in front of him, Rain was truly stunned in his mind. Each of the question marks that he saw was basically a great mystery waiting to be solved.
