~CHINK~

A chanical sound was heard when Arthur inserted the card into the side of the box.

He then did as Caleb had asked and placed his hand on top of the box. It had an imprint drawn on its top that looked like a hand.

~HUMM~

As soon as Arthur placed his hand, the box glowed and runes appeared on its surface. Waves of magical energy could be felt coming from the box as a magic circle ford around Arthur's hand and the place where the identity card was inserted.

'I can read these runes at least…' Arthur identified the runes easily.

These were the normal runes that most magicians used and weren't the unknown ones that were present in the Tomb of Kestrel. The process lasted for a few seconds before the magic circles disappeared.

"And it's done." Caleb stated, prompting Arthur to lift his hand.

He took out the card and felt a link between him and the card.

"Now you won't lose the card." Caleb said. "Though I'm surprised you chose to do this. Getting a replacent card would only cost two silvers."

"I know… but it would be a pain if I'm caught without a card." Arthur said recalling several troubleso situations that could happen. 'I need to be cautious with the adventurous identity card… players don't know the authority it provides yet, but once it does… it'll beco an issue.' He thought to himself.

While players couldn't exactly use other's adventure identity cards directly, if they had an illusion or disguise skill, it could actually work!

This was sothing that would beco a great issue later in the future, especially when the thief class players would learn about their true potential. Adventurer identity cards weren't that difficult to steal, but many wouldn't target them at first since they couldn't be sold.

Only later, when the other players learned about disguise and illusion skills, would it beco a problem.

Stolen adventurer's identity cards would beco a massive black market item and would sell for a lot. After all, with it, one could cause a lot of trouble while putting sothing else as a target.

But that wasn't the only issue.

Arthur knew of players that got trapped outside of towns or other settlents because they couldn't prove their identity. Once players left the newbie villages, they needed the ID or they would be considered suspicious.

After all, there was a reason why the Village head had to make a Writ of Entrance for Arthur. The guards wouldn't have allowed him in without it. But this was only for Roran town.

For entry to other settlent, having the adventurer's identity card was needed.

If a player lost it out of the settlent, they would have to pay a fine to get back in. But this was only if they had been to the settlent before and had records of being there.

If they were visiting an entirely new settlent, entering it without an adventurer's ID would be almost impossible.

Things beca particularly difficult if a player lost their ID card during a long journey before reaching a new settlent. One wouldn't be able to enter and they might not even be able to return to their previous settlent if they didn't have the needed resources and supplies.

Many players had gotten stuck like this before and had to be bailed out by other players.

There was in fact an entire economy around such stranded players too.

Other players would sell them supplies at a higher cost while so would act as escort guards for them so that they could return to their previous settlent.

Rembering all that almost made Arthur shiver.

'I don't wanna get stuck again like that…' Arthur recalled the tis when it had happened to him.

It was a very frustrating ti and he didn't want to take any chances at all. And since he had the needed funds, there was no need for him to hesitate.

'And since I'm dealing with bandits, it's better to be even more cautious. They always have thieves among them.' Arthur was also wary due to this.

"You should head to the Guard Captain. You can co back later if you wish to take on so quests… we got quite a few left for the taking." Caleb stated.

"Sure," Arthur said before heading towards the tavern.

There he saw the pair of Father and son porters who were having so refreshnts.

"Ah! Arzhur, got your registration done?" Aaron called out.

"Yeah, it's done." Arthur nodded his head.

"We're done too." Geran said before placing his empty tankard down. "I'll show you the place to sell your goods as promised." He spoke.

"Thank you." Arthur replied.

"Hang on!" Aaron said before chugging the rest of his tankard

~gulp~

~thud~

"Ahh~ now we can go!" Aaron put down his tankard and stood up.

The trio left the building, and Geran led them to a shop near it. The shop was rather big and had a lot of items on display. The items were varied too, from weapons all the way to raw materials and beast skeletons. A signboard also hung on top of it, showing its na.

'lcher's Supplies'

"Here we are." Geran said before waving his hand. "Hey, lcher!"

He beckoned to a man who was arranging so things inside the man.

"You're back Geran. Got anything to sell?" lcher questioned.

Arthur looked at the man, who seed to be covered in a lot of scars. He was nearly seven feet tall and was heavily built. Even with the clothes that he was wearing, his muscles couldn't be hidden easily.

Feeling curious about the man, Arthur used his skill.

Looking at the man's information, Arthur was sure that Roran town was not a simple beginner's town at all.

'Another NPC that is strong enough to be in a city…' Arthur thought.
