Chapter 90: A Crushing Defeat

After the thunderous roar, the three cities fell into abrupt silence.

No dazzling lights streaked across the sky;

No earthquakes shook the land.

It was as if nothing had happened at all.

A dark magic Grand Magus, who had lded into the shadows, swung his sword like a scythe of death, severing a banshee's head. Suddenly sensing sothing amiss, he whirled around.

A wave of scorching heat surged toward him, forcing him out of the darkness.

When he looked back at the world beyond, his pupils constricted in horror.

What kind of world was this?

Was this the abyss itself?

Outside Twit Town, the land had transford into a viscous, dark-red sea of lava, sluggishly flowing across the earth, stretching crimson for miles!

The endless tide of undead had vanished without a trace.

Only a handful of high-level undead still struggled in the molten rock, their cracked, charred bones signaling their imminent demise.

A cold wind swept through, failing to extinguish the scorched earth but carrying with it a storm of white powder that coated the city walls, the soldiers, and the mages' shields.

Finally, it swept into the city like a sandstorm—

Disgusting, terrifying, yet strangely exhilarating.

Crack!

A crisp sound pierced the clamor of battle.

Countless eyes turned toward the source, only to witness the Titan Remains, which had nearly breached the city gates, suddenly fracture and collapse.

Bones as massive as celestial pillars crumbled like a collapsing sky, crashing down in chunks as if heralding a cataclysm—

A disaster atop disaster!

On the walls of Twit Town, countless people stood dumbstruck by the sight.

Including Dandell.

Beyond shock, he felt overwhelming gratitude—gratitude that he had not rejected the Internet God's teachings, for otherwise, this devastation might have befallen Willis.

Yet they were not the only ones struck with awe.

In Edga, a similar scene unfolded.

But unlike the bone dust suffocating Twit Town, the air above Edga was thick with the scent of cooked flesh.

Beyond the city walls, corpses lay in heaps, swallowed by the viscous lava.

It looked like at chunks sinking into a pot of red bean porridge in a microwave.

The aroma was nauseating, the sight abhorrent, the horror heart-stopping!

Beixi, the God of Magic, stared wide-eyed at the scene, her grip on the dragon bone staff trembling uncontrollably.

Because in this calamity, she sensed no jubilation of fire elents—this was no re magic.

This was divine power!

The power of the Internet God!

The God of War's Legion fared no better, and neither did those outside Harold.

The only difference was that, being soldiers of the God of Life, many survived the battlefield.

Yet sotis, survival was worse than death.

Taut writhed as the "boiling" liquid within him seared his flesh, the agony so unbearable he longed for death.

But the ceaseless flow of life force kept him clinging to life.

All he could do was scream, enduring this tornt.

Of course, he was not alone. Across the vast battlefield, anguished wails and pleas for death filled the air.

"Take ho, I beg you!"

Taut reached desperately toward the sky, where the aloof Life Priests hovered.

They were elves, the most beloved race of the God of Life.

The piercing cries echoed over Harold, wrenching people back from the brink of despair.

At this mont, terror struck deep into the souls of every living being.

"Long live the Internet God!"

At so point, soone on the walls of Keville began shouting.

Soon, cheers like roaring mountains and crashing waves echoed over the three great cities!

No one saw the Internet God, but everyone knew it must be him.

Because only he could perform such divine miracles!

And only he would protect the people of Keville!

"Internet God, that strike must have exhausted your Source Essence, didn’t it?"

A voice brimming with uncontrollable fury ca from outside Edga.

Thirty thousand helots and ten thousand regular soldiers—almost all of them—were annihilated in that single strike from the Internet God!

The loss was so painful it pierced the very soul of the God of War.

"You’re welco to test ."

A voice as calm as still water swept across the battlefield.

Inside the Divine Palace Ancient Castle in the deep sea of the Primary Domain of Azerai, Yu Sheng'an's face was frosty.

The God of War guessed correctly—that strike had consud nearly sixty percent of his Source Essence reserves!

In other words, it would be nearly impossible for him to unleash a second strike.

If he forced it, exhausting his Source Essence would leave him in extre danger!

But Yu Sheng'an had no choice. This was both a rescue and a tactic of intimidation.

Now, both sides were gambling on sheer nerve!

It all ca down to who dared to take the risk!

Yu Sheng'an didn’t dare gamble, so he prepared a contingency.

Just as silence fell over the battlefield, massive scrolls unfurled in the skies above the three cities.

The scrolls depicted puppets storming into villages, slaughtering indiscriminately.

Blazing fires erupted from thatched huts and granaries, sending plus of black smoke and ash into the sky.

Countless civilians fled in terror, only to stumble into bottomless pits the mont they escaped their villages—pits lined with sharp wooden spikes.

So even hid in night-soil carts, sneaking into cities to commit atrocities.

High-level players, now free of any concerns, had their violent instincts fully awakened by the videos Yu Sheng'an played.

The sounds echoing in their ears made them hallucinate, mistaking everything before them for a ga.

When slaughter becos a ga, is there anything more terrifying?

The scenes playing in the skies above the cities shattered the morale of the God of Death’s and even the God of Life’s armies completely!

"No—"

In the rear camps of the God of Death and the God of Life, countless soldiers grew restless.

So recognized their own cities and villages in the footage.

Others even saw their own loved ones being slaughtered—just as they had slaughtered the people of Keville.

The Internet God’s Heavenly Punishnt had already crushed their morale, and now, witnessing the devastation of their holands, panic consud them entirely.

"I want to go ho!"

"God, please, let return—my wife is heavy with child!"

Countless soldiers begged, their ranks teetering on the edge of mutiny.

At this mont, the morale of the God of Death and the God of Life collapsed entirely.

"Woo—"

The sound of retreat horns rang out beyond the walls of Twit Town and Harod.

Massive portals silently rose into existence.

Faced with utterly broken morale, the God of Death and the God of Life decisively chose to withdraw!

In truth, the mont their soldiers saw the portals, they lost all discipline, surging toward them in a frenzy.

"Don’t let them escape! Kill them!"

"Revenge! Revenge!"

"For Keville!"

"For the Internet God!"

At this mont, the Keville soldiers and mages erupted with astonishing morale, countless surging out of the city.

Across the dark red lava, stone bridges erged—crafted by Earth Magic.

The high-level mages eagerly unleashed long-range spells!

An ice spear shrieked like a vengeful wraith, tearing through the air with pinpoint accuracy to pierce Taut’s skull from behind, its tip bursting out through his left eye socket.

Taut, who had just barely cald the boiling fluids in his body, widened his remaining right eye in shock. Facing the portal, he collapsed to his knees, rigid.

"Taut!"

His comrade lunged forward in horror and desperation, trying to save him.

But Taut knew it was futile.

He could feel the God of Life’s blessing, the endless surge of life force!

Yet inside his skull, it was as if a gluttonous monster had taken root, ravenously devouring his vitality, leaving him unable to keep up.

Taut seized his comrade’s arm, his lone right eye locking onto him. "Go ho for ... Tell Belinda... I’m sorry, I—"

Before he could finish, Taut shuddered violently. His grip slackened, and his hand fell.

Endless magical projectiles rained down like a cleansing tide.

Taut’s comrade could no longer spare a thought for his body. Scrambling frantically, he dove into the portal.

This day would beco an eternal nightmare in his life!

The God of Death and the God of Life had withdrawn.

But the God of War remained unmoved.

"Courage!"

A roar tore through the sky.

The remaining thirty thousand helots and thirty thousand regular soldiers marched in perfect unison, advancing toward the lava fields still reeking of the scent of cooked flesh.

An undying Battle Spirit coalesced, transforming into rolling yellow earth that paved the warriors’ path forward.

Yu Sheng’an, observing the entire battlefield through the Divine Perspective, felt his pupils constrict violently.

His heart seed clenched in the God of War’s rciless grip, nearly suffocating him.

Why was the Heart-Piercing Sche ineffective against the God of War’s Legion?
