Jaehyun’s POV
I stand there listening to the footsteps of the oga I am supposed to protect disappear down the hall and clench my fist.
My alpha is clawing restlessly in for him to return to us.
’We need to bring him back. Now’ my alpha growls and I take deep hard breaths to ease so of the tension in my body, moving around and putting on my clothes to maintain level of control.
I know sothing is about to go wrong and I should do sothing about it, but I also know one wrong from will make it worse.
Losing control here will make lose control over everything else.
I am willing to be sensible but if my Yujun doesn’t return to soon...control won’t be the only thing that will be lost.
The door squeaks open and I pause my movent.
"Oppa" a soft feminine voice call.
Fuck.
Choi Yunah.
My eyes et hers and her mouth drops open as she stands frozen at the door.
"Fuck" I curse, breaking the silence, "I knew it" she says instead of screaming the way I expect her to.
Is she a good Choi?
"Hey, kid don’t tell..." I say and she shuts the door before walking over to with a frown on her face.
"Are you playing with my Oppa’s heart?" she asks .
"Excuse ?" I ask and she kicks my leg, "are you playing with my Oppa’s heart?" she repeats and I see tears glimring in her eyes as she kicks again.
"My Oppa has never fallen in love with anyone before, don’t hurt him, you anie" she says and kicks my leg again, fully sobbing now.
"Yunah, wait, what are you talking about?" I ask, and hold my hand out over her shoulder, not wanting to touch her without her consent.
"Why do you have a fiancé without telling him? Why...tell why?" she breaks down into tears and my hand hover, my brain calculating what she can possibly be talking about.
"Yunah...I only engaged you because your father was willing to give you over to danger" I explain and she sobs.
"I love Jaehyun" I say and she looks up at , "I’m not talking about , I know you have no intentions for ...you never called even once" she says and sniffles.
And I let out a sigh of relief.
This child...she has to be a good one. I see why Yujun was hell bent on protecting her that day in the bathroom.
"Since you’re not talking about that, what then do you an?" I tilt my head, wondering just how far those clan elders has taken their dreams of making that crazed woman my luna.
"Sehwa unnie" Yunah sniffles.
Unnie?
"Unnie?" I ask.
"She...she is my mate" she adds and a fresh streak of tears slide down her flushed cheeks.
What the fuck has Sehwa done?
"Yunah...Sehwa is an oga" I say and she shakes her head, long brown hair flying around with the force of her refusal.
"I have our mark" she says and pulls down her pajamas collar, and I see there is a healed mating mark on her neck. A real one.
Yoon Sehwa...you psycho, what have you done?
"Even Yujun Oppa doesn’t believe and it hurts" the young woman says as she covers up the mark.
I believe her, I have also been on the receiving end of Sehwa’s attack and know how well she knows how to tangle people in her plots. Thirsty to rip Sehwa to shreds, my alpha howls at the pain in Yunah’s voice and expression and I squeeze my eyes shut.
Rembering how I had to beg for the trust of those who believed that it was my fault Sehwa went missing.
"I believe you, Yunah...you have to tell everything" I say and her shoulders drop.
"Sehwa Unnie ca to my college just after my engagent to you" Yunah starts, she has a sad look in her eyes, she really is in love with that monster.
Yunah wiped her face with back of her hand and continues, "she got close to , and she said she was a mber of your clan...we have t thrice when she arrives slling like you".
"Slling like ?" I question.
"Yes, always fresh and new...saying good things about you, she knew I didn’t want our engagent...she consoled and courted for a while" she explains and I stay quiet, analyzing a million things at a ti.
Sehwa went for Yunah after the engagent, which ans she wanted to make sure Yunah wasn’t a threat.
Sehwa also had my scent, fresh and new...which ans she has access to my used things...which also an...she has an insider.
Fuck. The number count of those I plan to murder just went up.
"She said she loved ...I trusted her" Yunah’s weak voice brings back, "can I...?" I ask and the oga rushes into my arms for a hug.
I rub her back gently as she sobs.
"Why did you choose her of all people..." she says into my chest, staining my shirt with snot but I don’t mind, she’s a hurting child who needs comfort just like I did back then.
"Yunah, I didn’t choose Sehwa and I never will" I say and she looks back to look in the eyes.
"Then what is going on Jaehyun-ssi?...I’m confused" she says.
"I have known her since we were kids and I loved her then...but listen to , Yoon Sehwa is not what she seems" I say and Yunah nods, her eyes getting wet with new batch of tears.
"Then what do I do...what is this mark on ?" she asks, fear evident in her voice, everyone knows that a mating bond mark is forever.
Sehwa has gone too far no matter how she did it...is she an alpha pretending to be an oga? Is she an oga? Then how did she get the mark on Yunah?
None of the answers to these questions will matter when I eventually get hold of her...
"I’m scared" Yunah says and I growl deeply in my chest, anger filling with the hurt and broken tone of the young oga girl.
"Will you trust , Yunah-yah?" I ask and pull her back to look her in the eyes.
"Yes" she responds tiredly, like soone who has cried too much and is giving in to whatever and I clench my jaw in anger.
"I will call you and we will figure whatever Sehwa’s ga is, okay?" I say and she nods.
"I promised your brother that I will do anything for him" I say and I see the flicker of hope in her eyes, oh she loves her brother so much.
"I trust you, Jaehyun-ssi" she says and I nod.
"There is a gate you can pass through, and no one will see you" she says, turning to the window to give the direction while I stand behind her.
Plotting the demise of Sehwa.
She will regret everything.
’I will make sure of it’ my alpha adds.
