Yeon’s POV
The young couple look at with mouths hanging open.
"Hurry, the guards will be here to check on Jaehyun soon" I say and clap my hands again, the both of them sit up slowly and I wince at the fresh bite marks on their necks, it would heal in no ti but it will still hurt.
"Mom, that’s reckless...what if..." Jaehyun starts and I interrupt him.
"What if what?" I ask and tilt my head, and my son looks at like I have gone crazy.
"Whatever will happen will still happen Hyun-ah, the elders will still be mad, the world will still end, and everything will be over soday" I say.
My son’s shoulders falls while Yujun’s beautiful brown eyes go round from my words.
"But the days when you’re freshly marked to a mate you love and you have a pup growing, that day only cos once" I say.
My scent turns a bitter note as I rember my husband and I, we marked each other in a hurry and were separated from each other for weeks, the pack elders hated that we loved each other.
"Thank you...mom" Yujun says and I smile at him.
"You scored an angel" I say to Jaehyun who beams back at , I throw the bag of extra cloth I brought for them and turn my back to give them privacy and to let them change.
I hear their muffled muttering, sll the spike in their pheromones from embarrassnt and hear the rustling of clothes as they dress.
I check the ti on my stopwatch, we still have less than thirty minutes to get out of here.
I already planned it all the mont I knew Jaehyun and Yujun would take the step at bonding, Doctor will drive them to my secluded ho by the sea, a small cottage and they will have at least three days to themselves.
Newly bonded couples need ti alone with each other to figure out the rging emotions...Yujun and Jaehyun need it more than anyone I know, they’ve had too many ups and down and too little tis spent together.
Life will go on when they return and I will hold the elders back as much as I can, it won’t be the first ti the luna of Hwang clan will be doing sothing dangerous.
They get out of bed fully dressed with sar of blood on their necks.
"Just stay close to , everyone is asleep, I slipped sothing special into the al tonight" I say and Jaehyun shakes his head, "mom, seriously" he says, holding on to his mate.
We walked out the cell quietly and into the night.
We don’t have to hide or be too quiet, but we do until we get to the car that is waiting, and doctor unlocks the door.
"Three days and I will co get you" I say as they get in.
Yujun looks like he would cry any minute, so I beckon for him to co closer, the male oga scoots to the window and I hold the back of his neck.
"Don’t worry about anything that isn’t your pup or yourself, do you understand ?" I say and he nods.
"The bond with you and Jaehyun is strong help for your pup, but you also have to help by resting" I advise him softly.
"Yes, mom" he says and I rub our noses together with my eyes shut.
They are just going away for three days, and they are just going to a place that is just one-hour drive away, still it feels heavy on my heart to let them go...I hope nothing goes wrong, I really do.
I choose to swallow down the promptings in my heart...please, please just let these children have a good life, I beg you moon goddess.
"Mom" Jaehyun calls and I let Yujun go briefly.
"You better take care of him" I order and he nod.
I step back from the car and doctor drives off with the newly mated couple and I return to my room.
As soon as I open the door, I find my husband lying on the bed with his hand over his face, I can tell he is not asleep with the slow and steady rise and fall of his chest.
Noiselessly, I take off my outside cloth and slip back on my loose shirt, a very old but comfortable one before sliding into bed with my Lord.
The second I hit the bed, his arms snaking around to pull into him, and I let him hold .
"Where were you?" he asks, voice rough with sleep, "outside" I say and he huffs, the habit that I have stolen from him, and our son has stolen from .
"I can sll the baby milk of our grandchild on you" he says.
"Do you want to sleep on the couch tonight?" I ask him and he chuckles, he sounds tired tonight, and he lets out a sigh against my neck, right next to his bite.
"Yujun and Jaehyun got marked this night" I announce and he pulls back with surprise written on his face, beard scratching my skin lightly.
"Really?" he asks and I nod, pulling him back into , pressing his face into my scent gland.
It’s almost like reliving the early days, when we had to fight for each other, when we only had each other and nothing else.
"I sinned against you, my Lord" I say and he hums, "how many days will they be gone?" he asks and I smile against his hair, he slls perfect.
"How do you know they left?" I ask and his shoulders shake in response, "you are my husband, my love, of course I knew what you’ll do" he says and kisses my neck.
My scent cos out soft, surrounding us like a warm blanket, he kisses that spot again and my body shakes in response.
"Ah, we have the house to ourselves, right?" he asks softly and I shake my head in disagreent.
"We have two more kids"
"Oh right" he says and groans playfully, a part of the Hwang Lord that only I get to see, we stay silent for a few seconds before he asks, "how can I get Yunah to stop calling teddy bear?"
"I don’t know, ask her, hold " I say and let my eyes slip shut.
My children will be fine; my granddaughter will be even perfect...even if sothing tells I’m lying to myself.
