But Monday...
Monday would be the day everything changed.
After dinner, it was already quite late, and Rex didn’t stay for long.
So, he said goodbye with a promise to et early on Monday, the fateful day.
Adrian didn’t say much; he also needed so ti alone to process and contemplate everything.
Heading back to the university, he got into his car. Driving through the parking lot, he happened to see his old car gathering dust. "Seems like I have to take it soti tomorrow and bring it back ho."
Driving the car, he soon reached ho.
Carelessly tossing things aside, he threw himself on the couch in the living room.
Today had been an incredibly hectic day for him. Even though he was the one who decided to do this, he couldn’t help feeling tired. Rubbing his face on the sofa, he muttered,
"How the heck did I get into this situation? I just wanted a quiet and normal... well, better than normal life. But anyway, I’m so tired."
Taking a look at the ti, it was already 10:40 PM.
Lifting his tired body, he headed for the washroom to take a warm, cozy bath.
Laying in the bathtub, he played so random classical music and closed his eyes.
He felt the whole day’s tiredness leave his body as he enjoyed the mont of peace and tranquility.
After soaking for about half an hour, he finally got up, feeling refreshed.
After drying, brushing, and changing into pajamas, he returned to his room.
Laying flat on his bed, he thought about how he should spend his Sunday while aimlessly scrolling through his phone.
He didn’t have any friends close enough to spend the day with—at least not yet. He could et up with previous Rex’s friends, but honestly, he felt a bit awkward. Maybe he needed so more ti to adjust.
As he aimlessly scrolled through the internet, the clock finally struck 12 AM, and the system interface appeared in front of him.
Ding!
With a soft chi, the screen flickered.
[Your daily sign-in has arrived.]
[Claim it]
Of course, he would claim it, but he wasn’t feeling particularly excited. Anyway, it’s not like he would receive sothing good every day. Previous rewards were still gathering dust in the system warehouse.
With a click, a burst of vibrant confetti exploded across the screen, accompanied by a cheerful tune and excited music playing in the background.
[Congratulations to the host for getting $100k.
Note: It will be sent to your account shortly.]
Rex blinked at the screen, montarily dazed.
$100,000.
He honestly didn’t know what to feel. Even though he already had $100 million, he hadn’t even touched or seen it personally... So, the impact wasn’t great.
On the other hand, he was almost broke in his previous life, and $100k was an amount he couldn’t even get after working his ass off for 3-4 years.
Just saving a few hundred bucks ant sacrificing his comfort and sleep. And now... he got it so easily, it felt so surreal.
Just then, his phone buzzed, and a ssage arrived on his phone.

Seeing the ssage, he was instantly overjoyed, and a grin slowly spread across his face as he involuntarily tightened his grip on the phone.
Even though he had previous Rex’s money, he didn’t know why he felt a bit awkward using it.
But now, this was his money. Earned through his own system. Not inherited, not borrowed, not a hand--down from the original Rex. This was personal. Sothing that truly belonged to him.
And he could splurge it the way he wanted.
Thinking about spending all this money, he couldn’t help feeling excited.
He clenched his fist, excitent pulsing through him. Taking deep breaths, he cald his restless mood and thought about how to spend this money.
Exiting the system interface, he laid on his bed, thinking about how to spend this money.
"Maybe I should buy an expensive suit, or maybe a good watch, or should I go to so top restaurants..."
And just like that, he didn’t know when he fell asleep.
The adrenaline from the day slowly vanished, and a deep sleep slowly enveloped him.

Next day,
Sunday dawned on the city that sparkled with promises...
At 6 AM, Rex naturally woke up feeling refreshed.
Suddenly rembering about last night’s reward, he hurriedly checked his phone,
[You’ve received $100,000.00 in your account.

Seeing that the ssage was still there, which ant it wasn’t his dream, he grabbed the phone tightly.
Getting up from his bed, he opened the curtains and took a deep breath as the golden sunlight spilled inside.
The classic LA view appeared in front of him, with blue skies, swaying palm trees, and an entire world waiting for him to explore and enjoy.
After savoring the mont for a while, he stretched a bit and wore his running gear.
As he jogged through the morning haze, his thoughts raced, thinking about how he should spend this money.
Should he just keep it in his bank or invest it sowhere... maybe buy so stock or things like that...
But thinking about $100 million, he quickly threw these ideas aside. He already had over $100 million—what’s $100k compared to that? Instead of hoarding the money, shouldn’t he spend it a bit?
It had already been so days since he got here, and despite having over $100 million, he hadn’t truly felt it. Like, shouldn’t he splurge so money and, for once, feel the world of the rich?
He wasn’t going to be reckless, but instead, he was going to enjoy himself.
And this wasn’t just about spending; it was about truly breaking free from his past life of constant pressure to save, struggle, and scrape by.
Okay, let’s make this day count. Having made up his mind, he sped up his morning routine and soon returned ho.feeling a rush of excitent.
But just as he reached his front door, his phone buzzed again with an unexpected ssage...
