And just then, his cell phone rang. He picked it up but found that it was an unknown number.

After thinking about the system's reply, he guessed that it was a call from the Arcanum Security Company.

So, he imdiately answered the call. A thick, manly voice ca from the other side.

"Hello, are you Mr. Rex Lee?"

"Yes, I am," he replied.

After hearing his reply, the other side imdiately beca two points more respectful and started talking.

"Hello, sir, my na is William Stanley. I am branch manager of the Arcanum Security Company, Los Angeles branch."

"Okay, what can I do for you?" Even though he had guessed it, he decided to play dumb.

"I just received instructions from headquarters that, from today, you have full control over the Los Angeles branch. Do you have ti to discuss it personally?" William replied cautiously.

After hearing his reply, Rex was confused for a mont.

Isn't it the ownership? Why did it suddenly beco just a branch?

"System, co out and explain yourself?"

Imdiately, the system's voice rang in his head.

[After scanning, it was found that the host isn't strong enough to take charge of the whole company, so the system decided to give him charge of the nearest branch so that the host can understand the process and learn it.]

After hearing a long explanation from the system, he finally understood.

The system was afraid that if he suddenly took charge of the whole company, he would screw up, so it decided to withhold the prize and just advance a portion.

After so thought, he found that it was a bit reasonable, as he doesn't have any managent experience.

If he suddenly got hold of a large company, he would 100% screw up—just like the saying, one can't beco fat in a single al.

Even though he understood, he still made a face as if he had suffered a great injustice.

"This is dictatorship—I will sue you!"

Hearing this, the system didn't even bother to reply and left.

On the other side, after not hearing his reply for such a long ti, William beca nervous. He patiently waited.

After seeing that the system was really gone, Rex rembered that he was still on the call.

So, he imdiately replied, "Okay, I am free right now. I am at 4 Phase Hotel; you can take your ti.

Let's et in the lobby, as I am going to have breakfast."

He checked the ti; it was already 11 o'clock. Well, it was almost lunchti.

"Okay, sir, no problem. I will be there on ti."

After hanging up, William wiped the sweat from his forehead; he was under great pressure during the whole call and was actually nervous.

He hadn't felt like this for a long ti since he was transferred here from headquarters.

He was also very surprised when he suddenly received the order, but after asking about it, it was confird that he would take charge of the branch.

And he honestly, didn't feel uncomfortable because in a field like this, loyalty and order are most important.

He knew that such a kid couldn't be a simple character.

So imdiately, he straightened his back and ordered his n to prepare with great majesty, completely unlike his previous self.

He still had great deterrence; otherwise, it wouldn't be his turn to take charge of this important branch.

And they imdiately prepared black, bulletproof Lincolns and left for the hotel, even though he told them to arrive slowly.

After hanging up, Rex imdiately called room service and ordered a complete set of casual clothes, including underwear.

After thinking about it, he decided to roll up the bedsheet to take them with him, as he had read in novels that girls usually take it with them, as he plans to give it to her.

After waiting for about 10 minutes, his doorbell rang, and he knew that it must be from room service.

As he looked through the peephole, sure enough, it was a short girl in professional attire standing outside with the clothes.

He opened the door to receive them. Just after opening, he found that she had beco nympho and was staring blankly at him.

Seeing her stunned look, he was satisfied with her reaction; and, noticing that she hadn't recovered, he couldn't help but cough, "Ahem! Ahem!"

But the hotel lady didn't seem to have heard and was still staring at him like a fool.

He coughed seriously this ti and said, "Ahem! Beautiful lady, have you watched enough? If so, can you please give my clothes?"

After hearing his voice, the hotel lady ca to her senses, and seeing him staring at her, her cheeks couldn't help but feel hot, and her face turned red from sha and shyness.

She hurriedly stuffed his clothes and ran away.

Seeing her running back, he couldn't help but laugh.

After wearing the clothes—a casual white shirt with blue jeans—and tidying himself up, he looked at his reflection in the mirror.

He still had a hard ti believing that he had crossed over, that he had a system, and that he now had this handso body.

After admiring his looks and feeling narcissistic, he left the room and leisurely walked toward the lobby.

Just as he opened the door, the door on the other side of the room also opened almost at the sa ti.

And a tall, blond girl appeared.

He casually glanced and saw that it was a tall white girl, wrapped from head to toe.

She looked effortlessly chic in a yellow, floral sundress. The cotton fabric was perfect for the sumr heat; the midi-length skirt swirled around her legs.

Ruffles at the bodice added a feminine touch.

She had paired the dress with simple sandals and a straw hat, and the oversized sunglasses gave her a touch of mystery.

And, honestly, he was stunned by her beauty, even though he hadn't even seen her face.

How did he know that? Well, just like won's sixth sense, n also have this special ability to tell from a glance whether she's beautiful or not.

She had an extrely hot body even though she completely covered herself. She was convex where she should be, and concave where it should have been.

And all he could see were those seductive and moist red lips.

Judging by how tightly she was wrapped, he was basically certain that she was a celebrity; otherwise, no sane person would wrap herself this tightly in such hot weather.

And his interest diminished in a mont.

He didn't have a good impression of people from the entertainnt industry, due to all the filth exposed by the news and mories of his previous self.

Even though his parents were part of the entertainnt industry too, they kept him out of the dye vat of that industry, as they knew all the filth inside and he was still too young for that.

They planned to gradually involve him when he had graduated and was a bit older, but fate had other plans.

So, he just glanced at her and retracted his gaze.

The other party also seed to notice his gaze all over her body and felt uncomfortable for a mont, but when she saw that he retracted his gaze imdiately, she inexplicably developed a favorable impression.

Even though she regularly had contact with many handso n, she had never seen soone as handso as him—especially with his carefree aura, as if he didn't care about anything in this world.

But she soon cald herself down, as she had to maintain her image, even though he couldn't guess who she was.

So, she subconsciously straightened herself up and calmly looked toward him. Their eyes t and ti seed to stop for a second.

Rex just glanced at her for a mont and walked toward the elevator without even nodding.

He couldn't be bothered by what the other party was thinking.

When she saw him walking toward the elevator, she didn't know why she couldn't help but catch up.

And Rex calmly reached the elevator door and pressed the lobby button. While he was waiting for the elevator, she also caught up to him.

Now, they were both standing side-by-side; Rex kept silent and wasn't interested in knowing her.

He had yet to familiarize himself with this world because, according to his mories, many things were different here compared to the Earth he was from—especially in the entertainnt and cultural industry, where there had been huge changes.

He hadn't seen many familiar celebrities in his mories, and there were lots of new faces, too.

But to what extent he didn't know yet—that's why he ignored her. So, what if she is a famous celebrity? What does that have to do with him? And he wasn't so pauper; he wouldn't be short of celebrities in the future.

You have to know that capital is at the top of the food chain in the entertainnt industry, just like in any other industry. So, what does he have to worry about?

Well, he could confirm that he had swollen a bit, but who wouldn't swell when they had a system? And he should at least have this level of confidence—or, you could say, arrogance—as a system host.

Just as he was swollen up, he seed to hear a ding.

Ding!

[Congratulations to the host for unlocking the system missions.]

And with another ding, the system's holographic interface appeared in front of him, and the previously grayed mission tab shone with golden light before returning to normal.

He was a bit confused and happy because of the sudden launch of the mission tab.

Previously, he had been a bit worried about how to unlock it, but he didn't expect that he would unlock it so soon. So, it was a pleasant surprise.

On the other hand, seeing him stunned and staring blankly at the elevator door, she was confused: what was so stunning about the door that he looked at it with such a dumbfounded expression—an expression he hadn't even shown while seeing her?

She looked carefully at the door but couldn't find anything noteworthy. She couldn't help thinking of people with ntal issues, as they usually have expressions just like this.
