Professor Clent's sharp gaze locked onto Rex.
Rex t his stare calmly, his expression unwavering.
Seeing this, the crowd gulped, eagerly anticipating the final showdown.
The room was so silent that the faint hum of the overhead lights seed deafening.
But strangely, after waiting for a while, there was no sound—the expected outburst from the professor never ca.
Instead, the professor simply adjusted his glasses, his sharp eyes sweeping across the room. His gaze montarily settled on Logan, who lay out cold on the floor, before flicking to Rex, standing tall with an expression of utter indifference.
Everyone looked at the scene, confusion visible in their eyes.
The entire dining hall felt like it was holding its breath.
Finally, it was Professor Clent who broke the silence.
"You! And you!" He pointed at Andrew and his lackeys. "What are you gawking at like idiots? Can't you see he's injured? Hurry up and take him to the university infirmary! Heck, take him straight to the hospital!"
Hearing this, Andrew and his lackeys visibly flinched, before rushing toward the unconscious Logan.
Straightening his posture and assuming his usual refined appearance, he narrowed his eyes at Rex.
"As for you—injuring a fellow student is a serious offense. What do you have to say in your defense?"
"He insulted , and I tolerated it." Rex paused for a mont. "But then he dared to insult my deceased parents. That, I absolutely cannot tolerate."
His face absolutely calm and resolute.
Hearing his awe-inspiring words, the students around him looked at him admiringly. So even cheered out loud.
"Yeah, right!"
"You can insult , but never insult my parents!"
"Well said!"
"Aagh! He's so handso!"
"I want to give him monkeys."
"REX! MARRY !"
The cafeteria turned into chaos, especially among the female students. But when Rex heard the part about giving him monkeys, he nearly choked.
Curious, he turned toward the voice that had yelled, "Marry !"—and imdiately regretted it.
Damn.
It was a 120kg muscular man dressed in cute clothes.
Seeing the man looking at him with an "affectionate" expression, Rex imdiately shuddered and almost vomited up his lunch.
Seeing that there was a tendency for the noise to continue growing.
Professor Clent lost his temper again and bellowed at the top of his lungs,
"SHUT UP!"
The cafeteria imdiately fell into dead silence.
"Can't you see we're resolving an important matter? Whoever speaks again, be prepared for punishnt!"
Hearing this, the crowd wisely chose to remain silent.
Now that the commotion had died down, Professor Clent randomly pointed at a frail-looking girl and said,
"You, student. Tell what happened here. Is what he said true?"
The girl trembled under his stern gaze but, gathering her courage, stepped forward.
"H-he, he, he, he..."
"What 'he'?! Speak properly!" Professor Clent snapped.
The girl trembled even more, her eyes brimming with tears.
Rex, unable to watch her pitiful state, spoke gently,
"Classmate, calm down. Take a deep breath."
The girl followed his guidance, inhaling deeply. After steadying herself, she nodded.
"Yeah, just like that. There's no need to be afraid of anyone. Just speak the truth."
Encouraged, she composed herself and said,
"Yes, Professor. I was here the whole ti. Rex was eating calmly when Logan ca over and insulted him. Rex ignored it, but just as he was about to leave, Logan started insulting his parents."
"Yeah, I heard it too."
"I can testify as well."
Other students nodded and chid in, confirming the story.
Rex simply smiled and turned toward the professor, waiting to see how he would handle the situation.
Professor Clent's expression darkened further. He had already guessed that his nephew was at fault—it wasn't the first ti Logan had bullied others. Normally, it wouldn't be a big deal. As he could always cover for him.
But this ti, he had finally kicked an iron plate.
Even if the other students didn't know about Rex's connection to the Vice-Chancellor, as a professor, he certainly did.
His connection to the Vice-Chancellor wasn't sothing he could afford to ignore.
The Vice-Chancellor wasn't just a figurehead; he wielded real power and could influence the entire university with ease.
And though their family had so connections with higher-ups, their ties weren't as strong as students had imagined. It was rely a transactional relationship—a give-and-take.
Now, he was in a pinch.
On one hand, he wanted to teach this smirking bastard a lesson.
On the other hand, he was afraid of retaliation from the Vice-Chancellor.
A retaliation he absolutely couldn't afford.
His mind raced for a solution.
"Okay, okay," he finally said. "I've heard everyone's testimony. But we'll wait for Logan to wake up and hear his side before making a decision."
In the end, he decided to prevaricate and delay the matter as long as possible.
No matter how powerful he was, could he really punish the nephew of the Vice-Chancellor?
Right?
At least, not within the university.
As for what happened outside of school—that was a different story.
He still wanted to keep his job, after all.
The students were stunned. They exchanged knowing glances.
They could hear the professor's perfunctory tone and knew that nothing would happen to Rex.
But this wasn't like Professor Clent at all—especially when his own nephew was involved.
But why wasn't he punishing Rex?
Was there sothing special about him?
Speculation spread among the students. So even guessed correctly—yeah, Rex had money and connections.
And damn, it felt good to have them.
Now, Rex could personally attest to the power of connections, it was also his first ti in two lifetis to experience the sweetness of connections.
What was that saying?
If you're powerless, even breathing is a cri.
But if you are rich and powerful, even after killing thousands, you'll be fine.
Of course, that was just an extre analogy.
Reality was far more complicated.
Anyway, back to the topic.
Even though they were confused, they had no choice but to accept it—especially the girls, who were ecstatic that their "male god" was safe.
Even so of the guys looked at him with newfound respect.
Professor Clent, unwilling to linger any longer.
Seeing Andrew and his lackeys still standing around Logan's body, He snapped,
"Haven't you heard what I said before? Hurry up and take him to the infirmary! And then call an ambulance!"
After giving the order, he turned and left with them.
The mont he disappeared from their vision, the entire cafeteria erupted into cheers.
They felt as if they had won a great victory against an oppressive tyrant.
Seeing Logan get punched in the face had been imnsely satisfying—especially for those who had been bullied by him before.
Many had dread of punching him themselves, but they never dared, fearing the consequences.
They had worked so hard to get into this top university.
They wouldn't ruin their futures over a single impulse.
But now—finally—soone had done it.
So, of course, they were ecstatic.
Even Rex let out a quiet sigh of relief.
Despite his confidence, he had been a little nervous about causing trouble—especially since he still didn't fully understand this world.
But his worry vanished as students surrounded him, cheering and celebrating.
For the first ti, he felt like he was truly becoming a part of this world.
These were his monts.
His mories.
Not just those inherited from his past self.
But then—
The girls got more and more enthusiastic, their actions becoming more and more excessive.
So even took advantage of the chaos and started touching him all over.
And So even kissed him on the face!
Panic surged through him.
He hurriedly made an excuse and prepared to run away.
And after what felt like an eternity, he finally managed to escape the cafeteria in 'one piece'.
Seeing the bright sunlight and cool breeze hitting his body, he felt alive again.
He was really afraid for a mont whether he could see the sky again.
"Damn! Dealing with these girls was much more difficult than dealing with Logan or Professor Clent." He couldn't help muttering tiredly.
