Chapter 939: Chapter 939: Gao Zhitao Arranges a Transfer to Another Hospital

“Shenghui, don’t scare . How are you feeling?” Gao Mantang was so nervous his whole body was trembling. After all, Kong Shenghui was one of his oldest subordinates, and there was genuine affection between them.

Kong Shenghui, however, wore a pained expression and, with sowhat dazed eyes, looked at Gao Mantang and said, “Old chief, let’s just drop it. Let this matter end here.”

After saying that, Kong Shenghui coughed, looking as if he was at death’s door.

Realizing he might have gone too far, Gao Mantang nodded and said, “Alright, as long as you’re okay, we’ll leave this matter at that.”

Just then, Xiang Yu walked over. He glanced at Kong Shenghui and said, exasperated, “It was just a shot to the butt; there’s no need to be so dramatic.”

Upon hearing this, Gao Mantang checked Kong Shenghui’s backside, and sure enough, it was a bright, vivid red.

“Dammit!” Gao Mantang muttered and promptly let go of Kong Shenghui.

Kong Shenghui dropped to the ground, clutching his sore butt and crying out in pain, groaning, “Even if it’s my butt, it still hurts like hell, Old Chief. Let’s just call it even.”

Ignoring Kong Shenghui, Gao Mantang turned his focus to the soldiers and ordered them to take Huang Yi and Fang Shichao back.

“Hey, old man, why are you arresting ? What did I even do wrong?” Fang Shichao protested, struggling hard.

“Whether you’re guilty or not will be clear after the investigation. Take them away!” Gao Mantang bellowed.

“Captain Fang!”

At that mont, soone suddenly shouted. Everyone turned, only to see ng Jianxin sitting on the ground, looking at Fang Shichao with disappointnt in his eyes.

“I’ve decided to enlist in the military,” ng Jianxin said, glancing at Xiang Yu and then at Xiao Xuan beside him.

Only now did he realize what it ant to have giants in the field. He used to think he was undefeatable in every way, but now he understood he’d been living in a well all along.

“ng Jianxin, you ungrateful piece of trash! Joining the army won’t change the fact that you’re a ****!” Fang Shichao exploded in fury.

ng Jianxin paid him no mind, got up silently, and walked away.

Xiang Yu stood behind and watched his retreating figure with a sense of satisfaction. This was good material—if guided well, he would surely beco a pillar of national strength in the future.

Gao Mantang stood there feeling proud and began organizing his troops to leave.

He approached Gao Zhitao and said seriously, “You should go to the military hospital. There are people there to watch over you so you won’t wander off.”

Upon hearing this, Gao Zhitao imdiately shook his head. “I’m not going! It’s like being imprisoned there. Just kill instead!”

“It’s not like being imprisoned. I’ll arrange a few people to keep you company,” Gao Mantang replied.

“Forget it. The ones you’d arrange are like blocks of wood, totally expressionless. All they know is training, training, training. I’m not going—kill if you must!” Gao Zhitao protested.

Gao Mantang could only sigh. His grandson had grown up and developed his own way of thinking, so it was natural he wouldn’t follow orders easily anymore.

At that mont, Xiang Yu walked over and said to Gao Mantang, “I know the director of a hospital. Let’s send him there. I’ll make sure he doesn’t run off.”

Gao Mantang looked at Xiang Yu and, recalling his skill earlier, finally nodded and said, “I’ll leave this to you.”

Xiang Yu quickly shook his head and replied, “It’s nothing, just a small favor.”

Knowing that Xiang Yu would be making arrangents, Gao Zhitao finally sat quietly without further protest. He had heard from Tie Zhuzi that Tianyu Hospital, under the Yuran Group, was full of beautiful nurses who provided exceptional care. Thinking about this, he couldn’t help feeling excited.

While the group discussed, Kong Shenghui, supported by soone, walked over and asked Gao Mantang, “Old Chief, how do you plan to deal with them?”

Gao Mantang looked at Kong Shenghui with visible annoyance and asked, “Your butt is fine now, right?”

Kong Shenghui, knowing the Old Chief was still upset, offered him an apologetic smile and said, “It really hurt earlier; I didn’t realize the injury was to my butt. I thought I was dying.”

“Oh, give a break,” Gao Mantang said before turning away and climbing into an armored vehicle to leave with his troops.

Once they left, the deputy captains among the ard police approached Kong Shenghui to inquire about orders, and Kong Shenghui instructed them to withdraw as well.

Gao Zhitao, sitting there eager and impatient, looked at Xiang Yu and said, “Let’s hurry to the hospital. I feel like my condition is worsening.”

“What condition is worsening? Your JJ? Is that what’s getting worse?” Tie Zhuzi snapped from the side.

Gao Zhitao cleared his throat without saying anything further; with so many police around, being the bureau chief himself, saying too much wouldn’t be appropriate.

Xiang Yu could only shake his head helplessly. This chief was far too young.

Xiao Xuan and Tie Zhuzi helped Gao Zhitao into the car and then headed toward the hospital.

For Xiang Yu, Gao Zhitao’s current situation was indeed perilous. No way would the Falcon Organization let him off.

Bringing him to his own hospital was practically setting up a ticking ti bomb for himself.

But all his people were there, so managing it would be much easier. Besides, this allowed him to better prepare against potential attacks.

At the hospital, Liu Yuhang had already arranged a room.

“Brother Yu, is your injury alright?” Liu Yuhang asked worriedly as he stood in the room.

Xiang Yu smiled and nodded. “Don’t worry. I’m fine.”

Gao Zhitao, lying in bed, looked at Liu Yuhang suspiciously and asked, “You gotta be joking. So young, and you’re already the director here?”

“You’re pretty young and already a bureau chief yourself,” Liu Yuhang grinned and replied.

Thinking about it, Gao Zhitao waved it off. “I’m feeling a bit unwell. Hurry up and find soone to take care of .”

All he could think about was the beautiful nurses Tie Zhuzi had ntioned; he couldn’t wait to see them. He was itching to find out what kind of “beauties” Tie Zhuzi had talked about.

Liu Yuhang shook his head with a mix of resignation and amusent. He’d seen Gao Zhitao on TV before in his role, but this guy’s personality was unexpectedly ridiculous, perhaps explaining why he got along so well with Xiang Yu.

“Brother Yu, I have so matters to deal with. I’m heading out now,” Liu Yuhang said with a nod before leaving.

No sooner had he stepped out than a tall, professionally dressed woman walked briskly toward him—Long Wu.

Ever since Long Wu started working at the Group, her allure had only increased. Her stunning figure, exquisite features, and extraordinary charisma were undeniably captivating.

“Brother Yu, which room are they in?” Liu Yuhang acknowledged her presence with a polite smile before pointing her in the right direction.

“Thanks,” Long Wu replied, quickly making her way over. Having heard Xiang Yu was injured, she’d taken ti off to check on him.

anwhile, Gao Zhitao was venting to Tie Zhuzi nearby.

“You told this place is full of beautiful won—where are they? Where are they? I haven’t seen a single one! Are you pulling my leg?” Gao Zhitao complained.

Tie Zhuzi chuckled awkwardly and said, “Don’t be impatient. The nurses haven’t started their shift yet.”

“What nonsense is that? It’s already so late, and they’re not on duty yet?”
