Chapter 937: Chapter 937: Xiang Yu Actually Failed

ng Jianxin was a man who flaunted his talents and looked down on those around him. Because of this, even though he was highly capable, he wasn’t well-liked.

However, for so unknown reason, he greatly admired Fang Shichao, and would only listen to him.

ng Jianxin stood in front of Xiang Yu, sizing him up with a hint of disdain in his eyes, and said, “You’d better admit defeat now, so I won’t accidentally hurt you when things get out of hand later.”

“You’re a good prospect. Your talents are being wasted here. Co join the military; you’ll be able to fully unleash your potential there.” Looking at him, Xiang Yu couldn’t help but feel a sense of appreciation for talent.

ng Jianxin sneered coldly and said, “Without real rivals, it’s the sa anywhere.”

“Could you stop showing off already? With those basic moves of yours, forget about Brother Yu—even Xiao Xuan could beat you!” Tie Zhuzi, standing off to the side, couldn’t keep silent anymore. This kid was way too cocky.

Although Tie Zhuzi usually didn’t take Xiao Xuan seriously, deep down, he truly respected Xiao Xuan’s shooting skills.

ng Jianxin didn’t even spare Tie Zhuzi a glance and said to Xiang Yu, “Since you’re not backing down, let’s get started. Fists and feet have no rcy—don’t regret it later.”

Xiang Yu smiled helplessly. It seed the young man in front of him had grown up idolized as a prodigy, and this had shaped his current personality.

Sure, he might be the best among the ard police, but there’s always soone better. If Xiang Yu didn’t teach him a good lesson today, it wouldn’t do him any favors for his future growth.

“I’ll take you down within two minutes,” Xiang Yu said calmly.

ng Jianxin responded as if he’d heard the joke of the century, mimicking the tone, “Two minutes? Ha, I’ll do it in two minutes too.”

Xiang Yu didn’t want to argue, so he simply took a step forward. ng Jianxin imdiately sent out a kick aid directly at Xiang Yu.

Xiang Yu swiftly sidestepped to dodge, ng Jianxin’s first kick missed, but he followed up with another. His consecutive kicks were dazzlingly executed, prompting cheers from the surrounding ard police officers.

They were all relaxed because they were convinced ng Jianxin would win. Despite their usual strained relationships with him, the collective pride was on the line. They all hoped ng Jianxin would take down Xiang Yu.

Xiang Yu kept dodging without counterattacking, instead probing ng Jianxin’s reaction speed and the force behind his kicks.

While the moves were flashy, they weren’t particularly lethal.

Gao Mantang, watching from the sidelines, was also unsettled. What was going on? Xiang Yu hadn’t counterattacked at all!

Seeing this, Gao Mantang had already planned his next steps. If Xiang Yu lost, he’d imdiately take him away, along with Fang Shichao. Fang Shichao had dared to bet on such a risky match—it was practically gambling.

Among all those watching, only Xiao Xuan and Tie Zhuzi remained calm. anwhile, Gao Zhitao was nervously fixated on the scene, afraid Xiang Yu might get hurt.

“Your movents aren’t fast enough, your force is too weak—are you just scratching for fun?” Xiang Yu retorted as he dodged.

Initially testing Xiang Yu, ng Jianxin gradually realized that every ti he sped up his moves, Xiang Yu’s evasion also beca faster. No matter what he did, he couldn’t land a hit, although it was always narrowly close.

But this small gap was driving ng Jianxin to the brink of frustration. In the end, he had to go all out to try and attack Xiang Yu.

“Do you only know how to dodge? Aren’t you brave enough to confront directly?” ng Jianxin exclaid in agitation.

“The two minutes aren’t up yet, no need to rush,” Xiang Yu replied coolly, grinning.

At the one-and-a-half-minute mark, Xiang Yu finally stepped back half a pace, creating so distance.

For Xiang Yu, ng Jianxin did have a modicum of skill, but thinking these moves could touch him? That was laughable.

“Ti for to strike,” Xiang Yu said with a calm smile before planting his foot firmly and charging toward ng Jianxin.

His movent was swift. By the ti he arrived before ng Jianxin, it took the latter a mont to react.

Xiang Yu threw a punch, and ng Jianxin wanted to dodge but found it was already too late, so he could only raise both hands to block.

Since Xiang Yu had made up his mind to act, he didn’t hold back. This punch contained his full strength.

Though the punch didn’t make an explosive sound hitting ng Jianxin’s arms, it sent him stumbling back five steps. His hands trembled uncontrollably, and while to outsiders it might not look like much, ng Jianxin knew that his arms probably wouldn’t regain full functionality for at least a week.

Moreover, he could faintly feel the power from the punch traveling from his arms into his body, numbing his entire upper torso.

Xiang Yu didn’t stop with the punch. Chasing forward, he leapt up and aid a kick at ng Jianxin’s chest.

As a sniper, ng Jianxin had honed his reflexes. Backpedaling, he prepared himself for Xiang Yu’s next attack.

When he saw the kick nearing him, ng Jianxin quickly dodged backward again. Simultaneously, Xiang Yu retracted the leg, and his other leg struck out in a sweeping motion.

It turned out the previous ferocious kick was just a feint—this “Sweep Thousands of Troops” was his real intention.

This ti, ng Jianxin failed to evade. The sweeping kick struck his head directly. He felt a heavy blow slam into him, causing him to lose his balance and fly outward.

As he soared mid-air, blood surged up his throat, and he spat out a mouthful of blood. In that instant, he reflected on many things: his revered image among the ard police, his arrogance in front of others.

ng Jianxin had once seen himself as invincible, feeling lonely at the top and dismissive of his colleagues. Yet unexpectedly, the military casually produced soone with such overwhelming strength, and judging by Xiang Yu’s effortless deanor, it seed he hadn’t even tried hard. Was ng Jianxin truly a frog at the bottom of a well?

ng Jianxin landed on the ground and slid quite far. He lay there silently without getting up, the atmosphere around growing eerily still.

The previously lively scene had quieted down entirely. Everyone, including Zhang Dacheng from the military headquarters, stood dumbfounded with open mouths, unable to believe what had just happened.

Xiang Yu’s moves had seed ordinary on the surface, yet ng Jianxin hadn’t managed to avoid any of them. Zhang Dacheng knew it wasn’t that ng Jianxin didn’t want to dodge—he simply couldn’t.

“Ahem, Brother Yu, I think you failed,” Tie Zhuzi suddenly stepped forward and yelled loudly.

The crowd snapped out of their daze, and their gazes toward Xiang Yu turned more complex.

What puzzled them most was Tie Zhuzi—clearly Xiang Yu had won, so why was he claiming Xiang Yu failed?

Xiang Yu knew the kid was trying to stir up trouble again, so he ignored him and walked back calmly.

Tie Zhuzi coughed exaggeratedly, lifted his head to survey the crowd, and shouted, “I’m saying Brother Yu failed because he said he’d take down that useless sniper within two minutes, but he ended up taking two minutes and one second—an overestimate in timing!”

As Tie Zhuzi spoke, he sighed theatrically, shaking his head smugly before strutting back. Just then, a figure darted swiftly into the ard police unit, grabbing a sniper rifle at lightning speed.

When the man holding the rifle reached the center, the ard police finally reacted, aiming their guns at him…
