Chapter 882: Chapter 882: Turns Out to Be the Junior Liaison Officer
The four of them fought in silence, and from Wang Ze’s perspective, it was more like watching a silent movie.
Wang Ze had initially intended to jump in, but then he felt that ganging up on soone went against the code of honor in the underworld, so he stood there without taking action.
If it had been Tie Zhuzi, he would’ve jumped in long ago, not giving a damn about any so-called code of honor. Spending so much ti with Xiang Yu had influenced him a lot. In Xiang Yu’s perspective, rules were aningless.
His principle was simple: no matter the thod, never end up at a disadvantage, and never let his brothers suffer grievances.
Tie Zhuzi was thoroughly enjoying the fight. In the heat of the mont, he took off his jacket and, with wide eyes, charged at the guy in front of him.
His opponent was secretly alard, realizing that this big brute was just a musclehead, completely clueless about martial arts and relying solely on brute strength.
Over on Xiaoxuan’s side, the two fighters moved with flair. It was clear both had been trained, and for the mont, it was hard to determine who was superior.
anwhile, Xiang Yu sat calmly, sipping water. The man across from him, however, was visibly tense, watching the four fight with a mix of anxiety and unease.
After all, it was his side that had started the fight. If they lost, it would be utterly humiliating. Moreover, Xiang Yu’s look of calm confidence only made him feel more uneasy—it was obvious Xiang Yu had complete faith in his people.
But Xiang Yu’s thoughts were entirely different. Win or lose, it didn’t matter. Victories and defeats were routine in battles. Besides, this was his turf. If they really did lose, if his people got the short end of the stick, he could just have Wang Ze join in and teach the other side a lesson—that would solve things easily.
To him, all this talk about the underworld code of honor was just nonsense.
“Stop! Everyone stop fighting!” The man across from Xiang Yu beca flustered and gave the order.
As soon as he spoke, his two n imdiately halted. Seeing the other side stop, Xiaoxuan also ceased fighting, staying on guard.
But Tie Zhuzi had no intention of stopping. He drove a punch right into his opponent’s face, sending the guy flying two ters away and crashing to the ground.
Still not done, Tie Zhuzi took two steps forward, ready to continue pumling the guy.
“I told you to stop! Didn’t you hear ?” The man sitting across from Xiang Yu shouted, visibly unsettled.
“Screw you! Who the hell do you think you are? You say fight, we fight. You say stop, we stop? Get lost!” Tie Zhuzi ignored the man entirely and kicked the guy on the ground again.
The other side’s leader finally snapped, slamming his palm onto the table as he got up.
But before he could act, Xiang Yu picked up his cup and threw it fiercely at the guy’s face. In that instant, all the strength in his body seed to concentrate into his hand.
The man sensed sothing coming at him and instinctively raised his hand to block his face.
The cup smashed into his hand with such force that it drove his hand into his own face, producing a sharp ‘smack’ sound. The cup shattered on impact due to the overwhelming force.
Everyone in the room was dumbfounded, staring at Xiang Yu with astonished expressions.
The leader was especially stunned, standing there for a long mont, entirely unresponsive. His hand trembled uncontrollably, completely numb from the impact.
The force from earlier was so intense that he even started questioning whether Xiang Yu had thrown an ordinary cup—it felt more like a rock.
“Sit down. Don’t move.” Xiang Yu, equally surprised by his strength, maintained a façade of calmness, glancing at the man with a look of serene authority—like a monk who had attained enlightennt. He acted as if being this strong was perfectly natural for him.
Without hesitation, the man sat back down. At this mont, Xiang Yu appeared even more mysterious to him. He couldn’t help but think, *”Is this guy even human? How could a simple throw carry so much force?”*
After kicking the guy on the ground one last ti, Tie Zhuzi moved to stand behind Xiang Yu, now extra cautious and guarding against any further surprise attacks.
“Can we talk now?” Xiang Yu asked, looking at the man across from him.
After a mont of silence, the man collected himself, regaining his composure to appear calm again.
“You’ve heard of Wolf Fang, haven’t you?” The man smirked as he looked at Xiang Yu.
Wolf Fang was an international rcenary organization, unaffiliated with any nation and operating independently. As long as soone paid them, they would send their forces to take out the target.
On an international scale, Wolf Fang was notorious. Their rcenaries were not only individually exceptional but also unparalleled in coordinated operations.
Years ago, during a civil war in a small nation, one faction spent a fortune to hire Wolf Fang.
With just over a hundred operatives, Wolf Fang quickly settled the conflict, making a na for themselves overnight.
Now, no country welcod the presence of Wolf Fang operatives. But more often than not, governnts turned a blind eye as long as they didn’t stir up trouble dostically—nobody wanted to ss with them unless absolutely necessary.
Ordinary office workers might not have heard of the na Wolf Fang, but soone like Xiang Yu certainly understood the weight and power the na carried.
Xiang Yu paused montarily with the cup of water in his hand, then tilted his head back and drained it. He placed the cup down casually and smiled faintly at the man across from him.
“Don’t tell you’re one of Wolf Fang’s people,” Xiang Yu said calmly, his expression a picture of composure.
“You guessed it.” The man grinned proudly. “I’m Han Xiaodong, East Asia Division Liaison for the Wolf Fang Special Operations Unit, assigned to the second-tier city branch in Huaxia.”
“Pfft…” Tie Zhuzi couldn’t hold back and burst out laughing from behind. Looking over at Xiaoxuan, he said, “I seriously thought he was so big shot—turns out he’s just a puny liaison officer.”
Xiaoxuan’s face remained calm. He didn’t acknowledge Tie Zhuzi, keeping his vigilance fixed on the situation.
Seeing no reaction from Xiaoxuan, Tie Zhuzi straightened up again and stood properly.
“I have no dealings with Wolf Fang, nor do I plan to. What are you here for today?” Xiang Yu asked with a serious expression.
Though the man before him was just a liaison, the fact that he was connected to Wolf Fang was enough reason to tread carefully. If Wolf Fang decided to co after him, countless forces would jump at the opportunity to take him down for them.
“You know Lin Chong, right?” Han Xiaodong squinted as he looked at Xiang Yu.
Xiang Yu quickly nodded, “Yeah, pretty familiar.”
“Good, then that makes things easier. That’s the reason I’m here today,” Han Xiaodong replied.
“What ‘this and that’? Isn’t Lin Chong so character from *Water Margin*? What’s that got to do with you or ?” Xiang Yu asked, feigning confusion.
“Pfft…” Han Xiaodong had just lifted his cup to drink when he almost spat it out hearing this.
Talking with Xiang Yu required constant vigilance to avoid getting caught off guard by his ridiculous remarks.
“I’m not talking about *that* Lin Chong,” Han Xiaodong snapped, half irritated, half flustered.
“Then which Lin Chong? Are you talking about an actor? What does an actor have to do with us? Could it be—you fancy him?” Xiang Yu asked, feigning shock.
Han Xiaodong nearly coughed up blood. Furious, he wanted to leap up and curse Xiang Yu out, but he composed himself, glaring and huffing angrily. “I’m talking about Lin Chong, the leader of Wolf Eye.”
Han Xiaodong had originally planned to withhold the na “Wolf Eye,” but seeing Xiang Yu’s infuriatingly nonchalant attitude, he realized he had no choice but to say it outright…
