874: Chapter 874: Hating the Extrely Clever the Most 874: Chapter 874: Hating the Extrely Clever the Most President Wan’s wicked gaze made Fang Rong feel utterly disgusted, yet she couldn’t lose her temper.

After all, he technically hadn’t done anything wrong, and his status was clearly not low, especially since even her boss Cheng Wanli was being so careful and polite to him.

Even so, Xiang Yu couldn’t care less about any of that.

All he cared about was whether the fruit here tasted good or not.

President Wan, on the other hand, was wondering whether this pretty little lady in front of him was perhaps arranged as his sexual companion.

Xiang Yu had just polished off all the fruit on the table when he casually looked over at Fang Rong and said, “Are you hungry?

Want to grab sothing to eat first?”

Fang Rong’s face turned purple, but she shook her head and replied, “I’m not hungry right now.

Let’s wait here for a bit.”

The truth was, Fang Rong was starving, but the fact that Cheng Wanli hadn’t ordered anything yet ant that not everyone had arrived; clearly, there was still so bigshot expected to show up.

“If you’re not hungry, then I’ll start eating.” Xiang Yu said and then yelled toward the outside, “Hey, waiter, co in here for a second!”

Cheng Wanli: “…”

A pretty young waitress walked in with a polite smile on her face, looking around the room to see who had called her.

Finally, she looked toward President Wan and asked, “Is there sothing I can help you with?”

President Wan was clearly starting to lose patience.

Throughout all his years in the business world, no one had dared to treat him so dismissively.

“This has nothing to do with you.

Leave.” President Wan waved her off dismissively.

Xiang Yu hurriedly shouted, “Hold on, it was who called you.”

The waitress, now a little embarrassed, stood there awkwardly before glancing over at Xiang Yu.

“Sir, how may I assist you?”

“What’s good to eat here?” Xiang Yu asked.

The waitress quickly recited the nu.

“Bring out all your signature dishes.

I’m starving.

When it’s ti to pay, charge it to this balding uncle here.” Xiang Yu said bluntly.

President Wan could no longer hold it in.

He slamd the table hard and stood up, pointing at Xiang Yu as he shouted, “Where on earth did this beggar co from?

Yelling and demanding around here!”

Xiang Yu didn’t even acknowledge him and instead waved to the waitress, “Hurry up and go prepare it.”

The waitress didn’t care about the drama in front of her.

Since a guest had ordered food, her job was simply to prepare the al; it hardly mattered to her who would pay the bill.

Once the waitress left, Xiang Yu finally turned his calm gaze toward President Wan and said, “Why are you getting so worked up?

It’s just a al.

No need to be so stingy.

If you can’t afford it, I’ll pay myself.”

President Wan was left utterly speechless by Xiang Yu’s remark.

Cheng Wanli quickly stepped in, helping President Wan back into his seat with a dry laugh.

“Co on, President Wan, don’t get angry, okay?

We’re all here because of President Sun.

President Sun hasn’t arrived yet, so let’s just wait until he gets here before discussing things.”

Cheng Wanli’s words were pointed: once Sun Bo arrived, it would beco clear what kind of relationship Xu Yu had with him.

If Xiang Yu had no connection to Sun Bo, then he’d be in serious trouble.

On the other hand, if the relationship was strong, then all these petty squabbles would be forgotten.

At this mont, Fang Rong couldn’t stay calm.

She forcefully tugged on Xiang Yu’s sleeve underneath the table and then got up to head outside.

Her intentions were clear: she hoped Xiang Yu would follow her out.

But after Fang Rong left the room, Xiang Yu didn’t budge.

He remained seated, staring directly at President Wan with an amused grin.

“What are you looking at?” President Wan growled, clearly irritated.

Xiang Yu’s gaze made him feel incredibly uncomfortable.

“I’m just wondering how your head could look so lopsided.

Every ti I see you, I feel like punching you.” Xiang Yu said with a helpless chuckle.

Earlier, Xiang Yu had already noticed President Wan’s lecherous eyes.

In Xiang Yu’s eyes, Fang Rong was like a sister to him—soone he would never permit to be disrespected or defiled, not even with a single lascivious glance.

President Wan balled his fists in fury.

If this weren’t the current setting, he would’ve already called soone to deal with Xiang Yu.

“You’d better behave yourself while you’re sitting here.

Otherwise, you won’t even know how you ended up dead.” President Wan finally snapped, issuing his threat.

Cheng Wanli noticed the tension in President Wan’s voice and quickly gave Xiang Yu a look, silently urging him to stop speaking.

After all, Xiang Yu was Fang Rong’s acquaintance, and Cheng Wanli didn’t want anything bad to happen to him.

But Xiang Yu simply smiled nonchalantly and said, “I am very well-behaved normally.

It’s just that bald people make my blood boil.

They’re too smart for their own good—they must have an extraordinarily ‘bright’ mind.”

President Wan could no longer hold himself back.

He slamd the table again and stood up, lunging toward Xiang Yu in anger.

Cheng Wanli, seated between the two n, quickly got up and restrained President Wan.

He was fully aware that Sun Bo hadn’t arrived yet, and if Sun Bo found out soone had physically assaulted his associate’s friend, the bla would fall squarely on him.

Hearing the commotion in the room, Fang Rong re-entered.

When she saw that President Wan was fuming, she imdiately rushed over to pull Xiang Yu up from his seat.

“Xiang Yu, let’s just leave,” Fang Rong pleaded with him.

At this point, she’d realized that as long as Xiang Yu stayed, there was no way the al would proceed peacefully.

But Xiang Yu grabbed Fang Rong and led her to sit back down.

“We haven’t even eaten yet.

Why should we leave?

If anyone’s leaving, it’s them.”

Fang Rong was baffled by Xiang Yu’s sudden stubbornness.

To her, Xiang Yu had once embodied the image of a charming and capable hero—handso and tough.

But now he seed nothing short of a scoundrel—an outright rogue.

She felt disheartened.

If Xiang Yu were soone successful, a big-shot businessman, then his cocky behavior could be seen as a display of confidence and personality.

But the current Xiang Yu had nothing to his na, yet he insisted on picking fights with people.

It made him co off as just a low-life hooligan.

And based on the food Xiang Yu had just ordered, she doubted he could even afford the bill.

If the others really left, then who would pay?

Cheng Wanli hadn’t anticipated the situation would turn out like this.

He was well aware that President Wan was a friend of Sun Bo.

Now that Xiang Yu had made an enemy out of President Wan, even if Xiang Yu were a childhood friend of Sun Bo, it was unlikely Sun Bo would stick out his neck for him.

“Fang Rong, you’d better hurry up and take your friend out of here,” Cheng Wanli warned.

As a middleman invited to this dinner, Cheng Wanli had only co to sponge off a free al, bringing Fang Rong along for company.

He hadn’t expected to end up inviting along such a troublemaker.

They hadn’t even started eating yet, and already, so much trouble had been stirred up.

Fang Rong tried to pull Xiang Yu away, but his strength far exceeded hers.

In the end, she found herself yanked back to her seat.

Xiang Yu remained composed, sitting there like nothing was happening, watching President Wan lose his temper as if enjoying a cody show.

Occasionally, he even chuckled under his breath.

Realizing that Cheng Wanli’s presence would prevent him from laying a hand on Xiang Yu, President Wan instead reached for his phone and made a call.

“You two, co in here,” he barked, hanging up imdiately after.

Seeing this, Cheng Wanli hurriedly signaled at Xiang Yu with anxious eyes, imploring him to leave quickly before it was too late.

President Wan smirked coldly, glaring at Xiang Yu.

“Didn’t you say you weren’t leaving?

Fine.

In a mont, soone’s going to carry you out.”

Fang Rong felt as if her heart were breaking at how far things had escalated.

She knew Xiang Yu could hold his own in a fight, but ending up in this situation was embarrassing, no matter how it turned out…
