826: Chapter 826: Destined to Be an Epic Battle 826: Chapter 826: Destined to Be an Epic Battle Wu Yue wasn’t too happy about Xiang Yu getting only one room.

After all, she and Feng Lan were both girls, which made things sowhat inconvenient.

Moreover, the inn was very small, and the rooms were cramped.

Stuffing five people into such a tiny space—how were they supposed to live like that?

“Xiang Yu, what exactly is your plan?” Wu Yue asked irritably, sitting in the cramped room.

“Just bear with it, alright?

Isn’t the whole country promoting thriftiness now?

Saving starts with you and , you see,” Xiang Yu replied, playfully spouting nonsense.

Feng Lan covered her mouth and laughed.

Xiang Yu was finally acting like himself again—this was the real him.

“Cut the crap!

You’re filthy rich; as if you’re bothered about saving a few bucks,” Wu Yue snapped angrily.

“I’m just worried about you two girls.

It’s not safe—this is a remote area, and who knows what kind of people are lurking around, especially at night,” Xiang Yu continued to spew nonsense.

Frankly, with Wu Yue and Feng Lan’s skills, it’d be lucky if they weren’t the ones robbing others.

At that mont, there was a sudden knock on the door, and the innkeeper’s wife walked in carrying tea.

She wasn’t even forty yet, though you could tell from the fine wrinkles near the corners of her eyes upon closer inspection.

But her face was smooth and rosy, clearly well-maintained.

She looked to be about thirty years old.

“I prepared so tea for you.

It’s top-grade Maojian.

Years back, my late husband brought it back from out of town,” the innkeeper’s wife said warmly, brimming with chatter.

They hurriedly thanked her.

They thought she’d leave after serving the tea, but to their surprise, she started talking.

“Ah, it’s just a pity my husband passed away early.

He died in a car accident three years ago…” As the innkeeper’s wife spoke, she kept sneaking glances at Tie Zhuzi out of the corner of her eye.

The group naturally understood her aning.

Her husband had passed, and now she was at that “hungry tigress” stage of life, so…

Seeing that the innkeeper’s wife wasn’t planning to leave, Xiang Yu chuckled mischievously and said, “Madam, don’t be sad.

My good buddy Zhuzi here is exceptionally considerate.

In a bit, I’ll have him keep you company for a nice chat.”

The innkeeper’s wife imdiately brightened up at his words and nodded in delight.

“I can tell this young man is indeed very thoughtful.

Why don’t you all co over to my place and sit for a while?”

“You head back first, we’ll send my buddy over later,” Xiang Yu said with a cheeky grin.

“Alright then, you carry on with your business.

I’ll go check on the other guests,” the innkeeper’s wife replied.

As she left in a hurry, she couldn’t resist sneaking one last eager glance at Tie Zhuzi before closing the door.

Tie Zhuzi shivered involuntarily, his face full of distress as he turned to Xiang Yu and said, “Brother Yu, she’s a bit on the older side.”

There was a loud “bang” as Wu Yue slamd a teacup onto the table and grumbled, “Not a single one of you is decent!”

Ti flew by, and by eight in the evening, the innkeeper’s wife returned—it seed she couldn’t wait any longer.

Xiang Yu stepped forward, pulled her aside, and whispered sothing to her.

The innkeeper’s wife nodded happily before heading out again.

Tie Zhuzi couldn’t hold back his curiosity and asked Xiang Yu, “Brother Yu, what did you say to her?”

“I told her you’d go over in a bit to… ‘handle things,'” Xiang Yu said plainly.

The group: “…”

Around nine in the evening, Xiang Yu finally chuckled wickedly and tugged at Tie Zhuzi.

“Zhuzi, let’s go.

Ti to take a stroll outside.”

Tie Zhuzi grinned slyly and jumped to his feet.

Although the innkeeper’s wife was a bit older, she still had her charm—her quality was still intact.

Feng Lan flushed red with anger when she saw Xiang Yu heading out as well.

But since everyone else was there, she couldn’t say much—though she fud and slamd her cup down again.

Xiang Yu ignored her, pulling Tie Zhuzi along as they went outside, locking the door behind them on their way out.

“Brother Yu, why don’t you go first?” Tie Zhuzi asked in a hushed, conspiratorial tone.

Xiang Yu shook his head and smiled.

“Zhuzi, unless you can last an hour, don’t co out at all.”

Tie Zhuzi imdiately puffed up his chest.

“Brother Yu, if you’re not in a rush, I could go for two hours, no problem!”

“I’m in no rush,” Xiang Yu chuckled as he gave Tie Zhuzi a nudge toward the innkeeper’s wife’s room.

Tie Zhuzi barged into the room.

The heat inside made him instantly feel as if he needed to strip down.

By this point, the innkeeper’s wife was already prepared, sitting on the bed.

With over ten years of practical experience, she was confident that handling Tie Zhuzi wouldn’t be an issue.

But Tie Zhuzi, with his sturdy physique, was no stranger to battles of the flesh.

How could he possibly back down?

Thus, their clash promised to be an epic showdown.

Outside, Xiang Yu chuckled softly before walking off into the night.

The timing was right—he was heading off alone to confirm sothing.

He got into the innkeeper’s wife’s car and drove it toward a hotel.

Parking outside, he quietly waited, hidden in the shadows.

With Tie Zhuzi occupied, Xiang Yu didn’t need to worry about their safety for now.

About half an hour later, close to ten, two vehicles ca rolling in from the distance.

Despite the cars being modified, Xiang Yu instantly recognized them as military vehicles.

Their functionality was top-notch, clear to see.

Six people exited the vehicles.

They stood tall, their movents sharp and precise—these were obviously well-trained soldiers.

After inspecting Xiang Yu’s sports car and confirming no one was inside, they entered the hotel.

Xiang Yu felt a pang of disappointnt—among the six, he hadn’t spotted the person he was searching for.

“Could it really have just been my imagination?” he muttered to himself, sighing as his gaze shifted to their car.

Even though the windows were tinted black, he could still make out soone seated in the back, though their features weren’t clear.

Xiang Yu’s heartbeat quickened; the silhouette matched the person he had been looking for.

“Is it really him?” Xiang Yu almost wanted to rush over for a closer look, but in the end, reason won over his impulse.

Starting the car, he slowly drove past their vehicle, letting out a crisp, piercing whistle.

It was an old signal from his days in the military.

Each variation in pitch and tone conveyed a unique ssage—it was a secret code his team had created, incomprehensible to outsiders.

Xiang Yu was rely testing.

If there was no reaction, it ant his suspicion was wrong.

But if the person followed him…

Xiang Yu drove at a leisurely pace before stopping at an alleyway.

In his heart, he fervently hoped the person wouldn’t follow.

He would rather be wrong, rather everything was just a fignt of his imagination.

Back in the small inn, inside the innkeeper’s wife’s room, Tie Zhuzi was demonstrating his prowess.

It had been ages since the innkeeper’s wife had such relief, and this battle was destined to be legendary.

Tie Zhuzi, an earnest man, had promised Xiang Yu he wouldn’t end things before an hour was up.

Even if the first round finished, a second must imdiately comnce—this was his mont to prove his word as a man.

The inn’s poor soundproofing, combined with the innkeeper’s wife’s unrestrained cries, left everyone in the place quite unsettled…
