“Is it just money you want?
No big deal, why didn’t you say so earlier?” Xiang Yu said to the crowd with so disdain, then turned around and pointed at Tie Zhuzi, “Do you see him?
All our money is on him, you can have as much as you want.”
As Xiang Yu spoke, he pushed through the crowd and walked outside.
The group of uncles and aunts looked at each other, then gathered their gazes on Tie Zhuzi to see if he really had any money.
When Tie Zhuzi saw Xiang Yu heading outside, he instantly knew what was up and said, “I don’t know him, ask him for the money.”
Only then did the crowd turn to look for Xiang Yu, but he had already vanished.
The group hurriedly chased after him, while Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan took the opportunity to push through the crowd and escape.
Tie Zhuzi, as he ran, looked back and yelled, “Even if I had the money, I wouldn’t give it to you, so stop dreaming.”
The group of uncles and aunts behind him was left rolling their eyes in frustration, but they didn’t give chase, since it was really just a matter of a few dozen yuan.
The two caught up with Xiang Yu and laughed heartily, enjoying the thrill of causing mischief without getting caught.
“Bro Yu, I’m hungry,” Tie Zhuzi’s stomach rumbled loudly.
“Let’s splurge on a feast,” Xiang Yu declared generously, and then they walked into a luxurious restaurant on the main street.
The three found a private room, ordered a table full of dishes, and without bothering with pleasantries, started eating imdiately.
Their speed of devouring food stunned the waiting staff—it seed like as soon as a dish arrived, it disappeared.
After nearly finishing everything, Xiang Yu patted his stomach and said, “I’m off to the restroom,” and then he stood up and walked out.
As Xiang Yu walked away, Tie Zhuzi knew exactly what was happening.
He too stood up and headed out, cursing under his breath about how the delicious al had left him overfull.
The people in the restaurant saw Xiang Yu and Tie Zhuzi leaving but didn’t pay much attention; they knew Xiang Yu had co with three people, and one was still inside.
Xiang Yu and Tie Zhuzi brazenly walked out and as soon as they reached the outside, they broke into a run.
The waiting staff, puzzled, quickly went to their room, only to find that there was no one there and the window was open.
Xiao Xuan hadn’t followed Xiang Yu out, but had jumped right out of the window.
The waiting staff imdiately contacted their superiors to report the situation, and the restaurant owner, upon hearing about the dine and dash, burst out laughing in anger.
Xiang Yu and his two companions wandered up and down the streets, either bullying children or eating without paying; their days were passed in an easy, carefree manner.
Their notoriety spread rapidly, and everyone knew about these three hoodlums who often did shaless acts, not even sparing a beggar lying on the street, whom they beat up and robbed.
That beggar had been a perfectly able person who had pretended to be disabled to beg for money.
The three saw him as easy prey, beat him up, and stole his money.
Another day passed, and that evening the trio went to look for a hotel to stay.
Before they could even enter, the landlady told them it was fully booked and directed them to the next place.
However, they tried several more places and all were fully booked, clearly a sign of how infamous their reputation had beco.
Having no choice, the three had to sit on the street, watching the traffic go by while drinking beer they had taken from the supermarket and chatting.
“Bro Yu, I feel pretty content with our life right now.
Being small-ti hooligans isn’t so bad,” Tie Zhuzi said, and then he lay back to gaze at the stars in the sky.
Xiao Xuan didn’t agree with him because he had a family vendetta to settle.
If he carried on living aimlessly every day, it would be as if he were already dead.
Just as the three were appreciating the good tis, suddenly three cars approached from afar.
“Here they co,” Xiang Yu said indifferently.
After several days of playing small-ti hooligans, this was the mont they had been waiting for.
Three cars stopped in front of them, and several burly n got out, then grabbed the three of them and shoved them into the cars.
Xiang Yu and his two companions only put up a symbolic resistance, but when the other side pulled out guns, they quickly shut their mouths.
The group of n looked serious, with no hint of a smile.
“Brothers, you must have grabbed the wrong people; we’ve never ssed with you guys, there has to be a misunderstanding,” Xiang Yu said with a cheeky grin, but the group paid them no attention.
Less than half an hour later, Xiang Yu and his companions were brought to an underground room.
The room was large and pitch-black around them.
The three were thrown into the center, where a strong light shone on them, preventing them from seeing their surroundings clearly.
“What’s your na?” one of the people around them asked at this point.
“Look, brother, you must be mistaken, we haven’t done anything,” Xiang Yu said, sitting cross-legged on the floor.
“I’m asking you what your na is,” the man said, clearly impatient with Xiang Yu’s rambles.
“We’re all part of the scene; how could we just give our nas away?
The three of us are known as ‘Desperate Three,’ and back in the Northeast, we were long-fad characters,” said Xiang Yu.
Upon hearing Xiang Yu’s claim, laughter broke out all around.
Clearly, they didn’t believe him.
Tie Zhuzi and Xiao Xuan had no idea what Xiang Yu would co up with next, so they didn’t know what to say and simply kept their mouths shut.
“What are you laughing at?
If you don’t believe , go ask around.
Nowadays, there isn’t a street where people don’t know about the Desperate Three’s skills.
Back in the day…”
“Enough with the boasting.
If you’re so great, then why did we catch you?” the man around them interrupted.
“This is purely an accidental incident; otherwise, let us go and try again,” Xiang Yu said shalessly.
Another round of laughter rose around them.
Clearly, Xiang Yu’s little trick seed rather foolish.
“Let tell you the truth, you had to ss with our boss of all people.
Winding up in our hands today is what you deserve.
Guys, teach him a lesson,” said the man.
After he had spoken, three n ca forward, ready to give Xiang Yu and his companions a beating.
“Hold on, hold on, I have sothing to say,” Xiang Yu quickly yelled, “Can we not hit the face?
I still need my face to make a living, you know.
It’s the rules of the underworld to not hit the face when beating soone up.”
Xiang Yu’s words had those around him laughing so hard they were bending over backwards.
In their eyes, Xiang Yu and his comrades were thoroughly trivial hooligans, rascals through and through.
After they finished laughing, the light shining on the three n went out.
The lights in the underground room ca on.
Surrounding Xiang Yu and his companions, a circle of people stood, about a dozen or so.
In front of them stood a young man, tall and straight, with short hair and a scar across his eye that looked rather intimidating.
Seeing the lineup around them, Xiang Yu and his companions were visibly shocked.
They then turned to the man in front of them with an ingratiating manner, “So it’s Scarface Brother.
I’ve long heard of your na.”
“Cut the crap, who’s your Scarface Brother,” the man said coldly after hearing Xiang Yu’s blather, admitting to himself that Xiang Yu was indeed an oddball, the overly familiar type.
“The Desperate Three, huh?
Now you’re on my turf, have caused so much trouble, don’t you have sothing to say?” the scarred man said to the three, his voice dripping with mockery…
